I would just like to point out the bondage evil lyn isn't mine :p
Off of ebay. A quick search of "(insert cartoon name here) cels" managed to whip them up, the seller that I sued for some others was 'icollect online' I think. very good seller and prices were good too, best of all, not rip off shipping from America either!!:DQuote:
they're pretty awesome valk... where did you find those?
I hope so, I found some on ebay and got some Sonic the Hedgehog ones as well that are stock cells (assuming stock cells means mulptiple cels for different animations , er, like main cel and then a little bit changed etc.)
Getting a bit into the cels thing though, its just like owning a piece of the cartoon! I will have to find a good way top disply/store them.
How do keep them SGB?
Take a look at the production markings on the bottom of the Skeletor cel. If 'MUSTK' is written on it, then that means the cel is a stock cel (btw, She-Ra stock cels have 'PPSTK' instead, which is how I could tell the Shadow Weaver cels are stock cels).
If the cel has a number instead of 'STK' after 'MU', then that means the cel is from the numbered episode.
Stock cels are mostly generic pieces of animation that can be reused in other episodes wherever they may be suitable.Quote:

MOTU and POP had a plethora of stock cels to keep production costs down.
I put my cels in polypropylene sleeves and keep the sleeved cels in folders. I do the same for backgrounds, though I don't sleeve the copy backgrounds.Quote:

Yeah, those type of shots are usually comprised of stock cels. Even cels from the famous transformation sequences are stock cels.
Yes, the cels would need to be matted (not touching the glass), and I believe the glass needs to be UV-resistant to prevent light from fading the artwork. You'd best ask specialist framing stores though as I don't have any personal experience when it comes to framing cels.Quote:
Do you think they would need some special protection if I were to put them in a frame?
rampagess might be able to offer some advice as well as he recently got a Unicron model cel framed.
:)I bought this at the beginning of the year but have been a little lazy posting pics, this aquisition slowed my collecting down:o
Nice score there mate.
Picked up an A3-sized scanner today. Now I can finally start scanning my animation cels & backgrounds rather than photographing them.
