They may be isolated incidents. I had no issues getting it delivered.

This may indeed be the unlucky one to be caught, or they might have only just started looking after the reissue and this was the first that we know about on this site.
If they have now been able to identify one with their random x-ray scans, catching others is now possible, IF your package is unlucky enough to be one of the random few to be scanned, and the person on that day knows what it looks like as an X-ray image in robot mode.
If I was able to get an answer from Customs or state police departments about if MP-5 definitely NOT being deemed a replica/imitation weapon, I wouldn't have bothered with the alerts.
And I wouldn't have created an info page until the first MP-36 was captured, but since the page was already there from MP-5, it was just easier to update it and give people a friendly reminder that there was a chance their MP-36 could be captured, and IF it did, this is where you find the help you need (without a delay of chasing up answers).
I didn't take any offence with anything that was said. Like Griffin mentioned i new the risks, gambled, lost and couldn't be bothered spending the time and money getting it back.

Making it sound like almost a damn certainty you will get your toy nicked by customs when it turns out there was about one chance in a thousand is, though I’ll grant scaremongering was probably not the best term for me to use. Yes, the situations with MP-36 and MP-05 proved to be like chalk and cheese, but none of us who lived through MP-05 had any reason to believe things would be different with MP-36 and had people not taken these steps, then by Murphy's Law, you can be sure that the same thing that happened with MP-05 would have happened with MP-36.
So you can keep on with the "needless fearmongering" rhetoric all you want. However it isn't a good look in light of what happened back in 2007 with MP-05.

When it did reach Perth I actually got the permit following day but it was no longer needed as they checked with the WA police.
Had the item misb not open but can see the parcel box stated it cleared custom.
My application now last till July 2019 and after I need to apply again if I want to buy another Megatron.

I ended up stopping contributing to the gunformers thread as it was clear the questions were getting repetitive when there is more than enough information available. I’m going to jump in early and say that when Megatron 3.0 is announced, do your own research and do whatever floats your boat.
