Every month, we have a Brisbane meet. You should try and make it. It is usually at Garden City (Upper Mount Gravatt)
Meets can be anywhere... depending on who instigates/suggests one
(and anyone can suggest or host a meet at any time). I try to use the CBD for centrality, but Garden City has been a common site due to the closeness/convenience of those interested at that time.
I too am a new guy from Brisbane :-D
.. and I'm sure I'll end up buying my kid one of your bears when she's a little older lol
