April Acquisitions

My first contribution for the month (which once again is a mash up of things that I have gotten over days/weeks; ie: not current).

Picked up the following:

• UN-19: Wheeljack;
• UN-20: Rumble & Frenzy;
• UN-21: Scourge;
• UN-22: Laser Optimus Prime;
• Transformers United Japanese exclusive Fracas and Haywire (sealed in polybag; this is my second set);
• Autobot and Decepticons faction symbols (official Takara release);
• Hasbro HK exclusive velvet pouch and metal plate that came exclusively with MP-1B: Black Convoy (I didn't buy the MP though, just the specials);
• 02 x Henkei clear Starscream (know this is the real deal because its cash fresh from a seller's left-over forgotten stock)
• 02 x Transformers Generations 2009: volume 2 book (came free with clear Henkei Starscream); and
• 02 x G&C gum collection book (this is a Mandarake exclusive that can only be bought in Japan and showcases all TF toys that was released with food/candy/sweets/etc).

There is no NZ version
Just pointing out its the AU version as found in Target and not the IDW version as found in comic stores.

Henkei Smokescreen + Henkei Bluestreak for $89.90. Apparently that's meant to be a bargain but my wallet still aches :D

I can get another Henkei Smokescreen for $45 (not counting delivery) just PM if you want. EDIT: Gdmetro may be looking into it.

haha bargain. last year you could have gotten 4 henkeis for that price :P

but i thought your collection consisted of hasbro universe mainly?

Wouldn't most people just pick and choose their favourite release of each Classic G1 character? Well, that's what I do anyway. :p *shrugs*

Really? Are people that way inclined? I didnt collect Takara cause I cant read or speak Japanese, but after seeing the TF Collection boxes, I changed my opinion (still the best packaging IMHO ever). However re Generations/United etc then there has been an issue of figures that either line dont have - i.e. Warpath, Ultra Magnus, Cliffjumper all Hasbro.

Personally I like Hasbros but the difference in quality from Jazz JPN and Jazz US is incredible.
I guess that when they make these figures they dont think of these over 30s who are bitching about quality, but the 6 year old boys who will destroy it in less than 1 day :)

Likewise. I prefer some Hasbro releases over their TakTomy counterpart and vice versa.

Sometimes I buy both, sometimes two of one version - whatever floats your boat since after all, it's your collection.

My collection is all Movieverse + Classics/Henkei/Generations/Universe (I'm not really picky with which line I have so long as I have the figure!)

I've been home only an hour and a half, most of which has been spent fixing the home computer, so I haven't opened it yet.

I like the toy-accurate art. I wish the Battle In Space comic was that toy-accurate with some Classicsverse characters (e.g. Galvatron, Ultra Magnus...). Can't wait to see pics of them out of box! :D

Yeah I must say, scourge is the better figure imo. still love the way they all look as a group though, especially with takara unicron lurking in the background. I probably wont have time over the weekend, but if someone hasnt already done so with unicron and posted proper pics, i'll be sure to do some myself :)
