Hehe. i was thinking he could be a boxer getting ready. Unfortunately the mechanism is broken and the lacky is just there to hold his hand in place.
i've done my research and that button on top needs to come off to get the wrist out for repair. apparently it can't be done without breaking it off.
i'm going to try some hot water first. if thats no good, out with the pliers.
I've had mine since the late 70s, and it's still standing proud on top of my book case. Mine has exactly the same problem with the launching fist mechanism. The flaming tongue lever on mine is also broken (by a friend in the early 80s). And that's why I keep my toys MISB these days. :D
I managed to fix it. Hot water from the kettle to get the mechanism out from the arm, Araldite and superglue to rebuild the latching mechanism. (i had to do it twice due to impatience) cut the spring down to take some pressure off it. Dremel the button off. more hot water onto the arm and force it back in (it won't go back in with the button sitting so proud). glue button back on.. all good:)
Cheers for the info:). So did the 2 ever exist together or was it more like Mazinger Z turned into Great Mazinger?
In the final episode of Mazinger Z, Kabuto Koji (the pilot) defeated the final enemy of the series. However, a new enemy group appeared and pretty much destroyed Mazinger Z.
However, Koji's dad (who Koji thought was dead), had known about this enemy and built Great Mazinger to battle them. So they meet each other in the last ep of Mazinger Z.
In Great Mazinger, Mazinger Z is rebuilt and appears in the final story arc of the series. The pilot himself Koji was in America studying and returns to help out with Mazinger Z. So the two mecha appear with each other a fair bit.
In the Super Robot War series of games, they were side-by-side almost all the time. LOL
I actually have the Neo Jumbo Machinder from Shin Mazinger Z and am putting it up for sale if anyone is interested as it is way too big for my collection at this point.
Got my Raydeen together with lots of 80's goodnessssssss

Wow you have giant gorg.
Yeah. I don't know much about him. he's stamped takara.
When he arrived the arms were on backwards:confused:
(i'm not even sure if he really is considered a jumbo machinder , You'd probably know more than me):)
He is worth $450-900. He is a jumbo,
My brother has a dx toy of him which opens the chest.
Lately hlj listed giant gorg toy by sentinel for 40,000 yen.
Needless to say I can't afford it.
You got a number of jumbos.
I still haven't had the chance to grab my mazinger and great mazinger from Singapore and sell them.
