Ah! The 5 pack kreo are way cheaper then robot kingdom! Oh well...from now on I'll get all my kreons fix from amazon!
But......shipping on both of the is $63 -.-
Didn't see the top post >.>
Was trying to get those 5 packs of the botshots, but the Stunticons came up at $30. I emailed them and they have changed it now so phew.
Sadly though the 5 pack of classic Kreons that has Megs, Starscream and pals is coming in at 50 bucks postage! Yet the other set is only 8. Emailed them again.
Its seems they are saying its an issue with the site, and they aren't too sure exactly why it's going nuts, but they are working on it.
It's great to hear that they are at least responding quite quickly to fix issues. It is a huge database of items and each item has a lot of elements to enter into the system... so errors are understandable.
For being so responsive though to fix errors, makes me want to keep using them even more... and hope they expand their Transformers range to cover all the items we wont be getting here.
The Beast Hunters Deluxe Wave 3, Generations Voyager Triplechangers and Legends 2-packs (Optimus & Bumblebee) have been added to Amazon, but it looks like the Triplechangers are currently out of stock. They might restock later, as the next wave with Sandstorm apparently has the first two Triplechangers as case-mates.
Legends are US$12 each, and the DLX BH toys (Dreadwing, Ratchet, Skystalker) are US$17 each.
"Amazon.com's deal of the week" is for Transformers Prime Season 1 & 2 DVD and Blu-ray.
These are Region 1 DVDs and Blu-Rays. So if you're interested in them make sure your player is compatible.
DVD's are $13.49 and Blu-Rays are $24.49 while supplies last.
Spoke to Customer Service re the random weights on some items
Optimus and Roller 'Legends' 3.8 ounces
Bumblebee and [name] 'Legends' 7.2 pounds
Kre-o Kreon Set #1 0.3 ounces
Kre-o Kreon Set #2 10 pounds
Did they say if they were going to have those fixed? As that would be why some items have excessive shipping rates.
3 or 4 business days
Last time I pointed it out to them (Voyager Grimlock) they took 6 weeks to fix and the item was long sold out.
Not fixed. So much for 3-4 days
And still not fixed.
To Robot Kingdom I go -- or use free shipping and send to USA address
Kreo Devastator set at under half price - $37.34. (it isn't coming here, so is a good price to get it at)
Ultimage Gift set 4-pack on sale for $30.
Generations Blitzwing back in stock for just $23 plus shipping... could end up being less than a Deluxe here if you order a number of items with it.
Cmdr class Shockwave has been added at $11 - and Starscream. Trailcutter is slightly discounted at $10.61.
Hardshell has been restocked for $11 as well, but only 20 left (if you wanted to buy up an army).
The four Kreo Combiners are still in stock, for $11 each. And they finally got in the small two Beast Hunter sets (Trailcutter & Mindcharger) for $8 each.
And a TFPrime tin lunchbox, for $15.
Sigh... never mind about Cmdr Starscream, Hardshell and Trailcutter, as they are each adding $40 shipping (making each toy $50).
Shockwave is only adding $1 shipping, but getting the four was gonna cost $120 shipping. :(
I'll contact Amazon, but I doubt it will be fixed before the more interesting ones sell out.
what the voyager springer is $43+shipping? :(
It seems to be that the weights are all wrong. Having a look in the information section, hardshell comes up as weighing 8.9 pounds. Which according to a handy online weight converter is 4 Kilos. Something tells me that aint right.
Whereas Springer and blitzwing are about 12 ounce = 340 grams.
Sigh. Why do they get so wrong??
Hmm, it appear Slystalker is coming up as 8.9 pounds as well. Not that he is available from Amazon anyway (But I bet he isn't 4 kg!!), but maybe there is some default weight thing that averages 8.9 pounds or something?
Same with BH Ratchet. They are all 8.9 pounds!
I never realised it actually lists the weights on the listing.
Since most orders are to Americans which get free shipping, most of their customers would never even notice to question it.
Voyager Springer is not by Amazon, so the person selling it through Amazon is charging/scalping at whatever they want.
it looks to me like most of the weights have been fixed up.
Yeah, same with something else I linked too, I only used it for the weight reference. I wonder if contacting them and pointing that out would fix the issue all over. I Haven't got any interest in ordering at the moment, but would mention when next looking at stuff.
Not the three Cmdrs... yet.
I got a reply email saying that because I was in Australia, shipping is expected to be more.
It just seemed like a lengthy automated reply based on the options I picked as my subject heading... so totally missed the point of checking the actual weights listed on the four items and fix them, as asked in the body of my email.
Sent a reply to their "automated reply"...
Let's see how they respond to that.Quote:
Hello again,
The reply I got was about shipping rates to Australia, which I have no problem with. I totally understand and accept the shipping rates to Australia and how they are calculated.
My message was about the weights on specific items that are incorrect, which THEN generates an excessive shipping quote on my orders.
These items are all noted as 8.9 pounds of weight (check their description and look at the weight)...

http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-C...ref=pd_sbs_t_1
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-C...ef=pd_sbs_t_40
HOWEVER, this item is the same size and weight as the three above, but look at the weight, it says 2.4 ounces, which is how heavy these four items weigh (I weighed one myself).
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-H...ef=pd_sbs_t_20
Since this is happening to a growing number of Transformers toy items recently listed on Amazon, someone at Amazon is not entering in the proper weights, or is using a template and not changing the weight.
These items are also listed as 8.9 pounds, but are actually about 7 ounces (I weighed one as well)...

http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-H...ef=pd_sim_t_38
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-H...ef=pd_sim_t_11
See, this one here is the same size and similar contents as the ones above, but it's weight is listed as 5.6 ounces...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-H...ref=pd_sim_t_1
And this one is listed as 6.4 ounces...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-H...ref=pd_sim_t_7
This item says 7.2 pounds, but is closer to 4 ounces...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-G...ref=pd_sim_t_4
SEE, this identical item says 3.2 ounces...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-G...ef=pd_sim_t_11
This item also says 7.2 pounds...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-G...d_bxgy_t_img_y
BUT, this identical item says 3.2 ounces...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-G...ref=pd_sim_t_1
This item here says 10 pounds...
http://www.amazon.com/Kre-O-Transfor...6/ref=sr_1_154
BUT, should say 0.3 ounces like this item, which is exactly the same size & contents...
http://www.amazon.com/KRE-O-Transfor...ref=pd_sim_t_1
This item here says 5 pounds...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-B...ref=pd_sim_t_3
BUT, should say 5.6 ounces like this identical item...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-B...pd_sim_sbs_t_6
This item here says 9.8 pounds...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-B...pd_sim_sbs_t_5
BUT, should say 8 ounces like this identical item...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-B...pd_sim_sbs_t_3
This item here says 8.7 pounds...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-S...pd_sim_sbs_t_3
BUT, should say 10.4 ounces like this identical item...
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-B...pd_sim_sbs_t_4
Why are these (recent) items having weights that are about 20 TIMES what they really are? People outside of America have to pay shipping on these (Americans don't, so it doesn't matter to them what the weights are of these items), which means the Cart charges 20 times the correct amount of shipping to us non-Americans wanting these items.
Since most of your customers are American, who don't pay shipping (free shipping no matter how heavy the items are), these errors don't get noticed or reported.... or even fixed, as I reported this problem way back on 19th April, and still hasn't been fixed yet.
Can someone there at least look at each of those listings, and their unusually high weights, before replying.
Because there are a lot of Australian collectors who would like to buy these items, but can't due to the incorrect weights creating HUGE shipping charges.
Thankyou for your time.
(BTW, your customer service is quite good with it being speedy to reply, but still hasn't attended to this matter from 6 weeks ago)
Wow ....that must of taken you some time to put together Griffin..I went cross eyed trying to read it :p I hope someone over there actually takes the time to go through it and fix the issues.
The reply claims that they have forwarded the problem to some other department, so I guess we'll see if anything happens.
They noted that each product page has a report tab somewhere, so if they don't get fixed within a week, I'll look for it and try that next.
At least this time it doesn't seem like an automated response, which is good (and for being speedy).

Thank you for writing to us about this matter.
From your email I understand that you've contacted us regarding the weight of the items (Transformer Toys) that are listed with wrong shipping weight.
We use many sources to build our website information, and we really appreciate knowing about any errors which find their way into our catalog.
In future, If you see any other errors in our catalog, you can submit correction requests at the bottom of every product detail page. Just look for the blue "Feedback" box.
Normally we respond to the customers within 24 hours with solutions.
Our Customer Service centers are not in the same location as our fulfillment centers. Amazon.com offers hundreds of thousands of items in our own inventory, and the fulfillment center buildings enclose millions of square feet.
In addition, many of our fulfillment center processes are automated and computerized. That is the reason we were unable to move in to the fulfillment center to check the physical details of the item.
However, due to the nature of the inquiry it'll take a bit more time than usual.
I've forwarded your information to the our catalog team for further research about this and will ask them to correct the error.
I just wanted to let you know I'll write back in 3 to 5 business days before the end of business day on (June13, 2013) with more information.
Thanks for giving me time to find the best solution.
Thank you for your inquiry. Did I solve your problem?
I know nothing is solved yet but Bravo! griffin, you could not have worded it better.. and Bravo! Amazon on that reply, that is how people want their complaints addressed.
..and now we wait.
That's a pretty good customer service response. and you have a date you can follow it up if you don't hear anything back.
I see the feedback section of the listings in product detailsNo pics coz at work, but its easy enoughQuote:
Did we miss any relevant features for this product? Tell us what we missed.
Would you like to give feedback on images or tell us about a lower price?
After three days of no change, I used the feedback option on each listing. Now three days later, they are still not fixed yet.
Back to email it is...

$23US ea - both springer and blitzwing for $65AU shipped.
They've changed the weight on one (Hardshell), from 8.9 pounds (4kg) to 1 pound (half Kg), which is still 3 times the approximate weight of that figure based on the weights of other Cmdr class figures on their site.... which means it will still over-charge on postage.
The reply to my latest message is that they got the "correct" weights from their vendor... which could be Hasbro.... so I'm not sure if they are saying that someone on their end didn't enter them in correctly, or, that the excessive weights were given to them by Hasbro and they consider them to be the correct weights.
They said that it should have only taken 3-5 business days to fix, but is taking longer than normal to fix. (it's been seven weeks since I first reported some items)
Idiots.... they're complete idiots.
Someone has finally gone through and changed the weights of all but the Legends Bumblebee and the Sunder/Rewind Disc 2-pack.... BUT, they've just been lazy and changed everything to 1 pound, which is about 454grams. Yes, almost half a kilo for all those items I listed several posts above, no matter how small they are.
(those two unchanged Legends sets are still 7.2 pounds)
That might sound like a huge improvement, but for the Cmdr figures, it's still 5 times their real weight, and still over double the weight of the Deluxes.
Sure, their shipping fees are pretty good, but this still blows out the cost of these items, preventing any real saving.
I put in the three Cmdrs I want, and even though shipping is a reasonable US$20 (compared to what USPS charges these days), it still comes out to AU$19.28 each, which is more than AU retail.
(three Cmdrs that are the correct weight has US$10.14 shipping, which I guess is too good for international postage... maybe I'm just getting greedy, after being used to these sort of shipping prices)
Unfortunately, there's nothing else on Amazon that I want at the moment, to offset the weights of these three small toys.
Typical... I find a site that is too good to be true for my expensive completism, and the forces of the Universe find a way to spoil it.
you're not being greedy griffin. they're either being lazy or dishonest.
Looks like most of their Transformers items are on sale at the moment, at 25% off.
Just look out for the items with 1 or more pounds of weight in their description... but if you buy enough of other items at this sale, it probably won't matter including one or two "wrong weighted" items.
They have GEN Springer and Blitzwing back in stock ($23), as well as the Combiner Kreon sets ($11). And still a fair few Beast Hunters toys that haven't shown up here (yet).
So they have Springer and Blitzwing for $22.99 each, but the 2 pack is $85.99.
:confused::confused::confused:
With shipping Springer came to $37.50AUD.
Not too bad:)
If this keeps happening, it may just be cheaper to send it to a mail forwarder and get free shipping within the US.
The one I use, ShipitTo has big discounts for economy airmail with insurance, nd its been saving me a fortune for shipments from the Transformers club. I think I'l use it for amazon now, because there are fewer and fewer new release items that are AmazonGlobal eligible anyway
Amazon now has Metroplex for pre-order. I've just ordered mine, only $40 in shipping which is a bargain given the size!
International shipping available :):):p:p:p:p:p:p
