Blaster seems to out of scale for Classics so he will be going on my MP shelf. Actually in general Gen Leaders seem to be too big for Gen (exception being Ultra Magnus). If I ever get Gen Jetfire or Megatron, they will be going on my MP shelf.

soo... the heads can be bought seperately?
To quote Rodimus from MTMTE " Cool"
This is like the Japanese Headmaster toyline, which had the big bots come with heads, and then individual heads were sold on their own (because the heads controlled the bodies, so why not have mix and match... which is why they had the spec meters in their chests, to show how much each head powered a particular body).
The difference here will be that the single heads will come packed with a transformable vehicle, to make it worth buying. (individual heads on their own wouldn't be as sellable to parents and retailers)
Hardhead, Skullcruncher and Rewind look perfect to me. Can't wait to get those.
A bit unconvinced about the "junior" headmasters are now just heads (Nightbeat, Siren, Horri-bull, Squeezeplay). Also not buying into Stripes at this stage.
Blaster is a very nice looking bot. The design of the head (Twincast) really makes me think less of the Headmasters and more of the Motorvators/Brainmasters.
Galvatron looks great but the demo model appears to have too many Decepticon logos on his chest. I suspect we might, like with Magnus, end up with a CHUG and MP version of the character coming out in the same year.
Ok, Looking at those pics Galvatron may just replace Mania King, Blaster is bought, as are all the Legends - and those Deluxe's look great too.
The heads I'll probably pass on, unless there's a hack to get Nightbeat's head mode on Hen Nightbeat.
I'm going to be so broke next year... Going to have to start putting money away now.
I'm surprised they made Galvatron a voyager size. For a while I have been expecting the Leader Megatron to be Retooled into Galvatron. The voyager will scale better anyway.
Happy with Blaster, is great as a leader size, I wonder if they will retool as Soundwave ;) they did it with the generations voyagers so why not again.
Hardhead and Skullcruncher !!
The figures revealed were nice but I will pass on these entrees. Fort Max and hopefully Omega Supreme are the main meals that I am eager to gobble up.
Going to be all over that Hardhead and Skullcruncher.
He doesnt look too gunny, so I reckn he could easily pass as a multi level concert arena!
Yeah, me too. Those littl Headmaster guys will be mine too. Then, Fort Maxx.
My body is ready
But my wallet sure as hell aint!
Pretty cool, if Hardhead and Skullcruncher really are deluxe's then I'm impressed as they look rather good compared to today's simplistic deluxe combiner limbs. I was excepting them to be like Brainstorm big simple and hollow. If they are deluxe size then I might just grab those. I need to see them in the packet to believe it though.
That Rewind looks awesome, but I sure hope they sell him separately from Blaster, because Blaster I am not taken with. I'm not a fan of the size disparity between Leader class toys and all the other sizes, particularly when they Leader class toys only different because they are big, and just as hollow and limited in articulation as a deluxe.
Galvatron I can't decide if I like, its cool that there is a bit of IDW styling going on, but all that kibble on his arms is a turn off, and his gun mode seems to have no more clever a transformation than the G1 toy.
Poor Nightbeat, Horribull and co got left out though, which sucks. I did the gimmick but where's some proper robots, and Fangry dammit???
Truly a great time to be a transformers enthusiast! (at least g1 anyway)
Sadly, for me it's kind of like Combiner Wars all over again - I appreciate the thought behind it and I'm glad they're doing it, but most of the actual product is an easy pass, with a few maybes-at-best.
I do like that Skullcruncher and the pseudo-Overkill though.:)
Beautiful!
Gosh I hope skullcrusher and hardhead scale well with FP! I haven't gotten FPs skullcrusher yet because the dollar makes it so expensive. Hasbros has a waist swivel and all lol
Dunno why they didn't just call them Headmasters.
Really digging Skullcruncher
Great I can't wait till the release of AstrotrainI mean Sentinel Prime. If ever there was going to be a repaint opportunity, this is it
Perhaps they want to leave themselves open to releasing other kinds of figures in the future, like Targetmasters, Powermasters etc. :o Although Combiner Wars does have a lot of figures that don't combine (e.g. all the Leaders, many Legends etc.) -- perhaps they wanted to go with a less prescriptive title to avoid confusion. :o Because when I was running the Hasbro booth at the EB Games Expo, I often had to explain to people that although this line was called 'Combiner Wars,' not every toy can combine, and I did get people who asked me why non-combining toys would be part of 'Combiner Wars,' blah blah blah... so yeah, I guess to a lot of the more casual fans it's something that is less ambiguous. :)

Or maybe half of an Energon Omega Supreme? :p
Nuts, and I just made myself a custom CHUG Sentinel Prime(Major) based on animated Sentinel Prime. Oh well, I guess I can repurpose it for something else.
I am definately looking forward to this new line. Like many others here my wallet is going to take a pounding!
He seems to enjoy his work. :D

The new photos of Sentinel Prime look really good.

I'm starting to think that Hasbro should be chucking more money IDW's way for giving them all these great design ideas :)
Those are CGI renders they always look good, the real toy is a maybe, the orange seemed to mute all the details in some of the photos they showed.
I agree they should pay more attention to IDW, but he's supposed to look like this:

A lot more truck like really.
Still as the only Sentinel Prime that's not Animated or Movie, I guess he will have to do.
Looks a bit like he will have large golden chrome bit for the ships bridge from the renders. Also it wouldn't surprise me to see him come out as a half arsed Omega Supreme as well as Astrotrain.
My money says it was actually Astrotrain first, but they are doing what they did with Alpha Bravo and releasing the repaint/remould first.
They can get more sales of the repaint with new mould freshness, and then still get good sales for the major character the mould was intended to be.
I've only just caught up with this thread!!!:):D
So many good things coming up.....
Blaster!
Galvatron!
Skullcruncher!
(sorry for all the exclamation marks)
:o
"I need to jettison some weight, or we'll never make it to Cybertron!" said no Astrotrain, ever (until they need a new wave of Decepticon Toys)
The demos are cool.
LOL at that comic strip, I've seen it before :D
This article at TFU.info has popped up, adding a couple of details that might have been missed or not mentioned at all by Hasbro at NYCC, that I thought was worth noting...
The "Prime Wars Trilogy" (being Combiner Wars, Titans Return, and something else), is set for a four year run, and will continue alongside any future movies during that time.
The Titans Return toys will be released from "Fall" 2016 in America (which is our springtime - so about Aug/Sept)... which is probably why there are only two waves of Combiner Wars revealed for next year as the Generations line will then be re-labelled as Titans Return.
