So show me something new then oh wait, we are here on a Ko thread where things are better.

I am not sure how you look at it, with respect I judged it with all the other cars and I feel it is just over engineered at wrong areas. The wings blocked movement of his arms and the face just looks way too unpainted relying too much on white plastic.
I like to see pics of this toy though, it looks promising than a lot.
Well we're not talking about $25 CW toys here. $100 is a fair bit of money for a toy it isn't fair getting ripped off because of TT/hasbro cutting corners.
MP's are premium products by name and by price and they should be held to a higher standard. While QC issue cant always be avoided it really shouldn't be excused. Things like poor paint apps and promotion exclusive weapons, (a pet peeve of mine) that should come standard like the datsun shoulder cannons is bullshit when you're paying $80-$100.
I personally dont see anything wrong with this KO. It's obviously not a direct KO being oversized and it looks like they've improved on it in certain ways. On second thought TT did do all the heavy lifting by designing and engineering it. This falls into a grey area for me depending on the improvements they've made.
What's the cheapest place to get this?
I am quite convinced to get one.
Sorry I'm a bit late to the party. Been looking at pics of this thing, damn it looks amazing! And so does the trailer!
With regards to people's strong feelings against KO's I note two things:
1. The KO market caters for a certain segment of the collector community, and
2. This is the "Unauthorised Transformers Products" section of the forum. Here you will find threads on third parties and KO's.
Expect some KO love here and there and don't make people feel bad for it. That goes both ways of course. Please let's all respect each other's individual tastes and preferences.
I'm not usually interested in KO's myself, but this figure has been significantly improved and upgraded and dammit I like it.

You're basically saying that you think the Masterpiece line has gone to crap, you've been dissappointed with the last half dozen or so releases, yet you keep buying them and will continue to buy them even though you expect shit??
That's not even insane. Insane is where you do something over and over and over again expecting a different result. You're not even expecting a different result! But your gonna hand over money blindly for what you know will be an inferior product. And you say we're the ones that need to wake up???????
:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused:
Hmm the only crap one is tracks and road rage, I did want a thundercracker, though it had a broken rudder tip , my money was to get that piece.
You are right, I think I had given enough thought and is insane to continue to support official product however I think I still buy one now and wait for people to open and give reviews and I decide from there whether I still want it or loose it.
There is no way you can wait too long and find the product not available when you want it. I did vote with my wallet, from initial pics of Tracks they look great, until prior to release I noticed things like a visible pin by the window in car mode? Surely there are better ways to do this?
And hang on a sec, nobody ask you to wake up, I am just shock that people are still thinking the MPs line are top notch. By all means this type of support will make takara think they are doing well in cutting corners are an acceptable practice. With all due respect, I believe QC should not be dropped on a highest line product, I rather get a torn box but perfect toy and not the other way around. We are paying more for the current MPs cars so I do have some expectations that it should be better than what's currently already made not go backwards in design and cut paint apps. I don't expect ironhide to be shit but now that I played tracks, I have second thoughts on ironhide and hot rod, don't even think about ramjet shockwave and ratchet for now. Not all MPs are bad, but some like tracks and road rage are sub par to the other cars , even to a red bee which I didn't buy has better brighter red. And here's the thing, I would gladly pay $150 per mp car if they were all properly painted and no issues with QC rather than pay cheap and get crap believing that a masterpiece is a masterpiece not a plastic action figure. This isn't ages 0-3 category.
I like to return to the thread, I think I pre order this. I think people know I don't float around 3p or unauthorized sections. I was considering the oversized mp-10 as from reviews its what a masterpiece should have been even if minus the size factor. Perhaps its easier for me to forgive a KO for not being polished over an official product. Will order one at under $150. I am not even a "movie transformers" fan, I just am amazed by the polished work and product this company has to offer.
I do realise btw I said I will "skip" this piece. but all the talk had just made me turned to the dark side and wanting to see how this piece is like.
I call RACIST!!!!:D
I was told this will be in the sellers hands before the Chinese New Year.
One down side is that his fingers did not have individual mp treatment.
Consider it like being a loyal supporter your favourite sports team. Your 'tribe' if you will. Even though they're poorly managed at the moment and haven't won a premiership in decades you'll stick by them and keep supporting them by attending their matches in hope that one day they'll come good. In the meantime all you're left with is cranky critique of the team's performance, rattle on about how you think they could do better and insist that if they just did everything you said to the ltter they could be the new champions! Carn TakaraTomy! :D
Well this thread escalated quickly.
More pictures of this bad-boy. He looks amazing with the OS MP-10.
the truck mode smoke stack is short though, but for me is the robot mode that caught me. I hope the toy does live up to those shown in the pics. My first Movie tf toy.
I went on youtube and it appears the smoke stacks are retractable.
The riffle is a bit hollow but everything else looks great.
This is delayed I believe due to Chinese New Year.
Just received my Evasion Prime and heavens is he amazing. So big and imposing, quite possibly the best figure I own.
He has a paint job equal to the APS Ultimate Prime, amazing use of chrome and silver painting. The weapons he comes with are also really well done and work so well with him.
People that complain about the size are, quite frankly, being utterly absurd. Did you skip Titan Devastator because he was so much bigger than the rest of the combiners? Did you complain about MP-1 being "too big"? No because they are centerpiece figures just like this guy. This is more than 'just a KO', the amount of extra work that has gone into this guy and improvements would make you blush if you had this in real-life.
I look forward to other deco releases of him.
I really like this analogy, it fits, it suits, it makes sense. Thumbs up to you my Linty friend :D
On the topic matter, I don't really care for Bayformers though I will admit it looks well made at least, but I don't support knock-offs.
Now if there are enough differences to indicate that it's a completely redesigned figure rather then just a reverse engineered oversize with a few extra bells and whistles I'd be more inclined to support it, as I support the third parties with their "inspired by but 100% originally designed by us" figures
They've put a ridiculous amount of additional molding details over the entire figure. Here's a picture someone took just from the leg: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transf...l#post13307728
Everyone over in tfw2005 that has this figure is arguing this as one of the best figures of 2015/2016.
This guy doesn't like Bayformers designs but calls this figure top 3 figures he owns
My order must have been too far down the line, it's coming from the 2nd run due after Chinese New Year. No love for bayformers here, but this thing looks great.
Yes, back when eBay had some percentage-off sale. They said it's delayed until ~20th of Feb or so.
Good to hear that it's impressive in person.
I am hate, hate, hate Bayformers but i might get this. First and perhaps last bayformer i'll ever own.
Well I hate bayformers but for me it has weight which people don't care about, paint apps which are amazing and some people give excuses that it doesn't stand out, and it looks impressive for its price.
I am sure I can find a place more worthy than my mp line collection
Don't be too concerned about what others think. It's your opinion (& wallet) that counts. ;)
It's hard when I like to be a loyal customer of Takara Tomy.
Voting with my wallet for a mp is really of not much impact on my wallet but I do question why make a line called masterpiece but go cheap on the product?
Sure many could just say "if you hate it why buy it?"
Because
1. Is their premium top of the line
2. I expect decent amount of effort in looking great
3. You believe there is proper QC as is an official product.
This is my first ko , well second as I bought ratbat. But my main reasons are because they are addressing the main issues that I have with the official product.
I have collected a lot of MPs and I display them, for me my binaltech/alternators
Stands out a lot more in my cabinet despite when I individually like each mp car except for tracks.
Throwing $100 on a mp is not difficult but expecting it to be top notch product is . I am kinda hoping takara Tomy does a entire complete line where is premium rather than half effort where they feel cutting corners in a quality line product is okay.
If the MPs were $150 a pop, I think voting with my wallet gets more attention.
As it is, it remains to be one of the cheapest toys around.
That's awesome to hear, I can't wait for you to get your hands on this bad boy.

This guy actually scales better than RotF Prime with the HA figures.
Just gotten shipping notification, now to see if it really that hype as what people are actually saying. My standards for a toy are high.
It's in Melbourne now, hopefully not long.
The amount of pages written about this piece is huge 200+
Pages. I am a bit surprised there isn't as much interest here raving about it.
Funny I am more keen to see how this piece turns out than my hot rod or ironhide mp.
It's a combination of people thinking this as just a KO, it being a Bayformer and it being too big which puts most people off.
Truth is, this is easily one of the best Transformers ever created, both official and not and people are hamstringing themselves because of the above absurd reasons.
Can't wait for you to get this guy, I look forward to your thoughts!
Looking forward to your opinion on this too.
So far my experiences with KO's have been pretty good besides the crappy MP's i bought just for fun.
KO feral rex while very good have obvious signs that it's a ko. Plastic type, poor joints, poor hands, QC issues. But WeiJiang's KO is looking really good.
Calling it a KO isn't fair, other than it not being an official product, it's akin to calling a retool a KO as well.
Everything you see in the pictures? All the high-quality paint and extra detailing? It's not just those pictures that make it look that good, the figure really shines like that in hand. RotF Leader Prime's biggest problem is that despite all its detail and complexity, it's not the most poseable figure, especially in the legs. Not a problem with this guy, he is one of the most poseable figures you'll ever play with.
Another great thing is that he also has heft. He's not super heavy but he's not light, he feels right for his size and this is due to the various die-cast pieces such as his chest and crotch. It's really well done because it gives the perfect balance to pull off some really sweet poses.
The only reported issue is some people's hips breaking when receiving them however that isn't a fault of the figure but of the packaging, WeiJiang have fixed that with newer releases by putting something to support the legs. I bought two of this guy and both were in perfect condition.
Truth is, you will not find a Hasbro, Takara or other 3rd party figure that hits as many 10s as this guy does. As many people have said on tfw2005 "The official Evasion Prime looks like a KO next to him".
I am both a person who is not keen on a Ko or a fan of bayformers , so this purchase says a lot about the pictures I have seen and convinced me to get one.
You will get an honest opinion as I always do. I don't suck up because this is a tf forum or "masterpiece Wow" factor when there is nothing to wow about.
From my perspective , the mpp10 didn't win me over for a few reasons.
1. I have mp-1 and mp-4 and as much it looked great it was not super wow.
2. There was not enough detailing on the grey thighs areas and that looks a bit plain
3. Would have prefer the translucent yellow pieces to be solid yellow.
Overall is a good piece but is one I didn't felt needed and decided to leave it out.
This piece is different, I like the fact that the g1 truck is kept but transforms to the movie prime that I know and the colours are pretty spot on.
I am leaving my vent in TT poor attempts in making a good tf toy. As I want to focus on this toy.
