Whos buying the harry potter hogwarts castle?
If I ever saw it in the wild I may be tempted, but the microscale puts me off, no matter how many detailed stickers they use in the set. Its one of those "gorgeous, but does not fit anywhere" Lego sets. As long as I get the much improved Hogwarts locomotive I'll be happy.
I thought normal lego figs could fit the castle but its microscale which i didnt realise till it was mentioned here :(
Perhaps the Hogwarts Castle in minifigure scale would be too large (and expensive!) for fans.
The set is A$649.99 RRP!
Still haven't bought anything from TRU since the closing down sale started. Wondering if I should grab one of these disgusting Heavy Scout Walkers for $40 (RRP was $100 IIRC) from TRU Bankstown just for the sake of it: https://shop.lego.com/en-AU/First-Or...t-Walker-75177
Only if you like half finished, barely working trickery of Star Wars vehicles that never appeared in the movies with figures that make no sense, other than to spread out he named characters across the wave.
Between the walker, the half destroyed Walker and the rose escape pod set, it’s nonwonder the last Jedi sets have shelf warmed like no other LEGO Star Wars range!
Yep, they got me there. Pretty much the only reason I want that set is for Hux. I skipped out on Kylo Ren's Shuttle & the First Order Transporter when they were cheap, and now eBay prices are absolutely repugnant.
This second wave of TLJ sets have been very underwhelming. They really should have pulled out the Throne Room set earlier, however $100 is an insane price for 2 Praetorian Guards (assuming anyone that wanted Snoke would have gotten him with the First Order Star Destroyer) https://www.myer.com.au/shop/mystore...FU9evQodNkYBhw
Anyone have (or can point me to a comparison) of the recent Lego X-Wings (Poe’s 75120 and Luke’s 75218)?
I have the TIE Fighter (75211) on my shelf and think it needs a companion. Luke’s makes sense as a pair, but I like Poe more.
I'm no Lego Star Wars afficionado but this review is pretty comprehensive, with a comparison of multiple X-wing models further down the page.
There's also this video but full disclosure I haven't actually watched it.
Thanks. That is helpful. Am leaning towards Luke’s and hoping to find it on special / clearance. Under $100 would be good.
Goodluck, Lego on sale is rare enough, unless they are the rubbish sets (the rathtar escape or half an imperial (first order) Walker sets.
I was hoping to find some older sets on sale at some regional toy stores but no luck... also no luck with the new 2019 sets either. Seems we will be waiting till late feb again.
Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for 2019 sets to show up at retail? I'm after the Speed Champions sets for 2019.
Sometimes sets are available on the Lego site before retail shops here like the new modular garage. A few of the new speed champions are on the site but the mini cooper set says sold out. So maybe it was available and went too quickly or maybe it's a placeholder until March 🤷
Knowing McLaren fanbois I guarantee the Senna sold out. Minis are also a popular make of car among car fans. You don't see many on the road, but there is a rampant fanbase there.
I guess it's just a case of Lego has them before the retailers. I can wait a couple of months so I don't have to pay shipping and I get to use my Big W staff discount on them.
Wait... there's a Senna set?!
*runs off to google*
ZOMG.
Now to find some Marlboro decals to fit...
Are the Overwatch sets meant to be a wide release or a shop exclusive?
Just saw an ad for Lego Master on Channel 9.
Looks the biz
I have seen lego concept planes from a ww2 area on the net. They all look very cool but where do you buy sets for making ww2 style planes for lego
How good does that new Mustang look?
My son has already said he wants it for his birthday and is willing to put some money towards it.
sometimes people sell custom sets with lego blocks or also sell or give away instructions online
not sure if these are "official" lego pieces or a mix but they have ww2 themed sets:

What's the Lego catalogue say about retail availability of the Technic Porsche 911 RSR?
https://shop.lego.com/en-AU/product/...-911-RSR-42096
Technic Porsche 911 RSR appears be available at Big W. It is listed at the online-only price of $186.75 (25% off) right now.
It is that price until midnight or sold out.
It's part of a Big W (online only) 25% off all toys until 20 March 2019 23:59:59.
Ok well, thanks. Unfortunately, it's not in stock at the Big W I work at and haven't gotten it yet at all and I can't get it delivered.
Seems none of the Brisbane metro stores have it in stock. Probably weren't many in stock to begin with.
But Amazon AU now has it for $186.75 with FREE delivery. :)
Ok, thanks. I might wait and see if any instore deals come up for the Porsche RSR. We should be getting stock in at some point since it is on order. But I did buy some Speed Champions Lego from Amazon. At $16.50 each, the Speed Champion cars are cheaper than I'll probably ever see them at work even with 10% staff discount.
I have purchased like 8 Benny space friends sets to army build classic spacemen. I grew up with these in my childhood. I’m hoping to be able to use them in the upcoming LEGO city space theme. It would be really exciting if LEGO released a surprise classic spaceman set to coincide with this. I want more space minifigures in different colours , green, black, red, orange, grey, brown, purple!
Anyone going to the Brick Show in Penrith this weekend? I went last year and my son loved it so I’ll take him again.
