Got my first 3rd party. OMP were a little slow to get delivery moving due to forces of nature, But excellent customer service and they kept me informed.

Made my first order with OMP at the start of this month, as my usual Asian online store (Ehobbybaseshop) makes me think that they are winding up (in the last year they have had less and less items on pre-order each month, and nothing beyond March)... so I need a new source for JP exclusives that get released in Asia that aren't available on HLJ or Amazon Japan (like the TakaraTomyMall exclusives and Ehobby exclusives).
(for those wondering why I don't use RobotKingdom - their bad service processing a couple of my orders and suddenly ignoring my emails when I got one faulty toy, I refuse to use them ever again, or recommend them)
When someone recommended trying OMP for some upcoming items I was looking for (that weren't on EHBS), I wanted to place a small order of in-stock items first, to test them out before placing pre-orders.
I ordered three items that were supposed to be in-stock - JP LG Blurr reissue, JP Infobar (phone) Optimus, and the Hasbro Platinum Edition 3-pack of Cyclonus, Scourge and Sweep.
Okay, the negatives first.
Firstly, their listing for the Infobar Optimus was incorrect, as the Nishikigoi (red) Optimus version is the later, cheaper, non-electronic version, but OMP lists it as the working bluetooth version.
There are five versions of the Infobar phone, and the Nishikigoi version is the only one that does not have the bluetooth feature inside the phone. It also comes with a smaller, cheaper display stand for the phone mode, instead of the robot figure-display that came with MP Loudpedal (black Tracks).Quote:

Now, I knew that this red "re-release" of the Infobar Optimus was non-working (and bought it knowing that), but other customers might feel misled/cheated by the mistaken listing on OMP, if the online store owner didn't know that this was the one version that doesn't have a working bluetooth installed in it.
Secondly, the Platinum Edition 3-pack was not in stock, despite the online store saying that it was, and allowing me to cart and pay for it... so if they misplaced it or if they have to manually update their online store with stock numbers, it makes it difficult to trust if any of their items, especially their older items, are still physically available, just because their website says it is instock and is able to take your money for it.
On the positive side.
They contacted me two days after placing the order, to see if I wanted to cancel the whole order or get a refund for the missing item.
They didn't ask if I wanted to order something else and charge/refund the difference, so I asked if I could get MPM4 Optimus (or another item if it was in stock yet), and get charged the difference.
They agreed, and sent a paypal invoice for the extra amount. Since Optimus was smaller and lighter than the 3-pack, I noted that it shouldn't cost any extra in postage, and they credited some of the original postage cost from the extra amount owing.
Three days later, the items were shipped. Five days after placing the order, which isn't too bad, considering a day was probably lost working out what to do about the out-of-stock item.
Unfortunately, they were only using DHL, and you have not way of knowing if it will be handled in Australia by DHL (can't use a PO Box address which might reject it back to the sender), or will be passed onto Australia Post at the border (which can use a PO Box address - which I prefer, so that it doesn't just get left at the door and get stolen, or gets sent back to the Airport Depot for pickup if no one is home).
As it was, one of the other people at my house, received it, but left it somewhere out of the way and didn't tell me it had arrived... so I didn't find it until 3 days later.
After all that, the items arrived in once piece.
I'll probably end up pre-ordering upcoming items from there, but just a little cautiously for a while, to be sure that these are isolated issues, not common ones.

Note though, I believe ohmyprimus will rise prices for new items accordingly if rates jump or decrease when falls.
Anyway some feedback is I would like all Takara masterpiece toys to be protected better as is more of a collectors item.
I won't be fussed about 3p but of course extra care is a bonus.
I got MP-39 Sunstreaker last week, it was available a few days after release but I asked Dennis to hold off on posting until I got back from holidays, which he was happy to oblige. Another happy purchase.

In mid-October I placed an order for 2 items, one LG Sharktron and the C++ kit for CW Defensor.
After the order went through I emailed them to confirm I was getting the Hasbro coloured version and not the Takara version. They replied to say it is for the Hasbro version but just went out of stock, and more is expected in November. They asked if I wanted to cancel the order and/or ship Sharktron separately now. I replied saying I was happy to wait for the kit and if it was ok they could ship Sharktron first. They did and it arrived very soon after.
I emailed on 10th November asking if there was any update on the kit and they replied stock was on the way and should be arriving in 2 weeks. About 3 weeks later I hadn't heard anything so asked again and they said it hasn't arrived yet. It was coming by sea and possibly held at customs. A few days later they told me it had arrived and they would ship it out very soon and then I had it not long afterwards.
So since this is at least the 2nd time mentioned in the thread that somebody has ordered and paid for something "in-stock" which turned out to not actually be in-stock maybe there is something that could be looked at or upgraded on the site or ordering system?
I was happy that they got onto it pretty quickly and anytime I emailed for information the response was within 24 hours. Also, I paid once for shipping and had the items sent out in 2 separate deliveries, if there was any extra cost for those it was covered by OhMyPrimus (I didn't realise the box for the kit was so big).
It was definitely a drag having to wait so long after initially thinking it would be with me sooner.
I like what I've gotten from OhMyPrimus in the past and service but honestly I would have to say I am slightly hesitant now. If I saw something I wanted I may resort to confirming availability by email before I actually go through with an order. It has by no means turned me off them completely or anything though.

Hi Griffin, thanks for giving us a shot. So sorry about the Infobar Prime, we were not informed about the non-working bluetooth function (but it's no excuse, we should have known), have just corrected it on our site to avoid any confusion.
As for the sold out items, yes, there is a realistic chance that some items (especially those with 1 left in stock) are available on the website but are actually sold already sold out. Reason mainly being we sell via walk-in as well so these sales are sometimes not updated on the site. We are working on this, finally getting a full time guy in March to make sure such mistakes are minimized as much as possible.
Hi Philby, thanks for your feedback as well. To add on to the reply above, our new guy won't change everything overnight, but while we are definitely still a work in progress, we do take all feedback seriously and the basic principle is that we always try to do things better today than yesterday.
Hi Jellico, our pricing is calculated based on SGD, and our cost is determined mainly by the USD and RMB rate. As long as the AUD/SGD rate do not fluctuate too much, pricing in AUD should be mostly stable.

I have had a string of packages from OMP over the last two months. Excellent condition and support.
The only problem was a lag between sending and the arrival of the tracking details meant Australia Post was was telling me they had it before OMP.
