Am unsure if this a first?
I saw Universe Cyclonus, Hound, Starscream and Cheetor yesterday at a nearby Kmart!
Managed to get Cyclonus whom im very impressed with :)
Apparently Animated Swindle, Blurr and Blazing Lockdown have been found at more than one Toyworld in WA, so should start appearing in other chain stores soon (and other Toyworlds). Tiby's find at an Uncle Pete's is an independant, so can't be related to a national chain, and could even have been a direct import (if they were getting impatient about no new figures in the last 8 weeks).
edit - And now a Toyworld on the Gold Coast (QLD) has the new Animated Deluxes.
A David Jones in Sydney had Cyclonus, Hound and Cheetor.
Looks like they are making their way to any national chain stocking that series now. At least, to any store that needs to restock.
Thanks to 1orion2many's report, I rushed out this morning and found these at another WA Toyworld. :p I visited two and don't believe all Toyworlds have these though.Quote:

Is it just me, or is paying almost deluxe price for figures that are a repaint of the same figure over and over, perhaps with a new accessory or head, really value for money? These things don't even transform! They use the same shapeless parts for the body of every figure in the line, including Star Wars, Indy, Marvel, etc. I remember a sale at Myer where it was buy one get one free, at $20. $10 each was worth it I thought.
Sorry about the rant, but with the recent price rises across the board for TFs, this seems like a shameless cash grab.

Went for a wander this afternoon after work, and discovered that Myer and Toys R Us in Hurstville, NSW are both stocked in wave 1 of Mighty Muggs, (Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Soundwave and Megatron). Well, minus the Megatron now, as he's safe and sound at my place. Anyway, thought i should let anyone who's interested know that they're starting to show up in Sydney now too. Same price at both stores - $24.95.

Animated Samarai Prowl and Waspinator found at a Toyworld in SA. We are certainly catching up real quick, but probably not much of each though, so keep an eye out and grab em while you can.
Not really a first sighting, but the Hasbro MP Starscream is appearing at Toyworlds (Hasbro use them as a dumping ground for excess stock) lately. They were originally a Toys R Us exclusive a couple years ago, and people like me had a really difficult time finding one. Hope others who still want one have better luck this time.
Found Special Edition Deluxes at Big W tonight for $30.

Awesomest of sauces. I just picked up an Animated Voyager 'G1-colour' Shockwave vs. Activator Bumblebee two-pack from the Sydney QVB Hobbyco for $49.95. Hurrah! They have three Shockwave/Bumblebee packs left and four Sunstorm/Ratchets.
