New BW huh. I'll believe it when I see it.
Yeh, not with all the diehard G1 fans currently jizzing in their pants about 'another' line of homage figures :p
well if WFC is popular to make more toys of, i'd be interested in
-arcee
-jazz
-sideswipe
-air raid
-warpath
-omega supreme
-shockwave
-slipstream
-brawl
-trypticon
they would make fantastic toys and also a set of all the 'in-game' weapons.
i noticed optimus' rifle isnt even in the game, yet they dont even give him the energon axe. hopefully a leader class toy will remedy this.
That's fine with me. Deluxe Classes are usually better designed than your run of the mill gimmick-laden engineering-sacrificed Leader Class toys. I prefer a nice Deluxe over an ordinary Leader any day.
In the excitement, there's been some conflicting or unclear reports.
Generations is Deluxe only, so Legends class Prime, Starscream and Megatron are all in the Transformers 2010/HFTD line right?
And the same goes for Scout class Windcharger?
Yes, but Hasbro were saying some time ago that the main line was not just Movie characters - so I guess this is definite proof of that, and begs the question... what's the point of 'Generations' if the main line is gonna end up having other eras in it anyway?Quote:

I think they shouldn't have restricted Generations to one size class (probably necessary to not look like flooding of assortments to the retailers), because now there is no plausable reason for a separate deluxe line.
I'd imagine the Generations name will just quietly drop from use after a few months is all.
I think the Generations line exists because Hasbro wants the Generations toys (being G1/G2) to be distinct from the movie and neo-movie figures in the TF2010/HFTD line. As for why Generations doesn't have other size classes, I think it's because Hasbro will only do a handful of G1/G2-based figures in these other size classes, while Movie and neo-movie characters (like Breacher, Hubcap, Highbrow and Lugnut) will get the lion's share of these classes.
So far, we have three, maybe five G1-themed Legends (if you count Tracker Hound and Sandstorm), 1 G1 Scout (Windcharger) and 1 definite G1 Voyager (Grapple). Hardly enough to justify having these size classes in Generations as well.
All great news :D
I'm mostly looking forward to the Generations figures but may be swayed into the new line with the look of Highbrow and Terradive :p
Legends G1 Megatron is a big surprise, I wonder if he will be a simplified version of the WST version (unlikely) or a new mold with G1 homages (more likely)?
I hope Jazz and Tracks will have 'vette Stingray and 935 homages
Hate to repeat what others have been saying, but DAMN.. im so excited.
Going to be buying alot.
Cant even wait for pics of Jazz... feed my current classics addiction.
So.... when will the rest of us get to see pics? :o
SDCC possibly, which is in late July. Though it sounds like a lot of what people saw was control art, not prototypes, so it might be a long time.
Some of the wiki people talked to Aaron Archer about why Generations and Yellow Box existed as separate lines when (for all intents and purposes) they perform the same "everything from everywhere" function.
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Talk:Transfor...fication.22.3F
Is Generations not specifically a homage line using Classics styling whereas the yellow box is like movie repaints or new movie style molds?
Considering G1 Legends class, G1 looking Scout Windcharger and Classics G1 looking Grapple is in there?
You'd have to read the response Archer gave them.
So it's all a cunning plan then
