Having said that... Headstrong is better in plastic. The die-cast makes him back heavy and difficult to stand in robot mode. Oh yeah, die-cast Predaking is heavy -- so be prepared to pay for it in shipping. Group orders definitely recommended for this big boy. :)
I reckon it will be about $300 including shipping which is going to be a deal-breaker for me. A group order will definitely soften the blow, but still... it's a damn expensive purchase.Quote:

I am not sure this guy is Die Cast metal. Metal Predakings have a tendency to lean when the arms are pointing forward like in the pic due to the weight of the metal. This Predaking looks pretty straight.
This is good news for people who don't have Predaking. I'm happy with the Reissue version I got a few years ago, but if I didn't have it I'd be ordering this one.

He is very Nice.. i do like the new colours... but i do have my first reissue... And I think Id rather hang out for reissues of the moulds I dont have like Sixshot, and Id certainly like to replace my Gigastorm with a Trypticon should the chance arrise.
I'm happy with my G1 Plastic set, but it's nice that others who missed this set get another chance - between eBay prices & the cost of mailing such a heavy set, the recent reissue is already prohibitively expensive.
That's ok if it's plastic. I'm wondering now if all the yellow parts (and swords), are chromed. The face looks extra red too, could be red chromed.

BBTS put the price up it seems from its first listing. It was $180.
$200 isn't that bad based on the exchange rate of the yen price. And it does cost $$ to ship them across to the USA.
i think i paid $250 for the last one that was reissued so $180 is a bit cheaper and i like the look of the gold :)

That Amiami price is great.. but the exchange rate kills it.. assuming you even get today's rate when they charge you at shipping date.
I think GPS is now a thing of the past so people buying this toy or any other modern Gold toy should be ok. I think only the plastic with gold that 'spirals' on the surface are the ones one should worry about.Quote:

HLJ is about 160-odd usd before shipping, and I don't see this as a light parcel.

Well, I bit the bullet this morning and placed my preorder with RK. I was surprised that shipping was only US$32... a lot better than I was expecting and cheaper than shipping something from NSW to WA.
For several reasons, I would like to announce that this will be my last TF purchase. What better way to go out than adding the almighty Predaking to my collection :cool:
