My thoughts exactly! :) Something tells me that there's not going to be an over abundance of Scourges left on the shelf when this wave comes out. :D
I agree, this figure took me by surprise. I expected the engineering to be a bit on the simple 'shell cape' but that's not the case here, a nice feat of innovative engineering.
I was amazed at how there is hardly any undercarriage with the alt mode being almost flat. I was blown away when the wing bits opened up to reveal the weapons. I thought the weapons were going to be a non transforming Fracas but it seems like a completely new weapon that splits in two.
The only thing that I found a bit odd is that the landing gears seem to be backwards (two wheels at the front, one at the back) which would make a pretty difficult landing and take off but aside from that, it's superb.
Ha! both of you are spot on! :D
In this case I'm almost certain that the center wheel should be mounted towards the front end of the fuselage because, as 1AZRAEL1 referenced, Scourge doesn't have a 'front and center' mounted prop and engine.
Here's an example:

Sorry for the size of the pics. :o:p
But yeah, as a 'Flying Wing' I have to agree with Kup that it is a bit odd but as Kup also said, it's a very minor pick at an extraordinary figure! :D
I think you guys are way too picky! Lol :D
It's a toy based upon a fictional aircraft to start with, so whether the landing gear placement makes it difficult to take off or land serves no real relevance - it's a non-existent aircraft, it's all fictional! :p
It's a great toy... that is all that needs to be said.
+1 :D
Indeed, you're dead-right Vector,
I myself have a quibble with it though as it may cause the Alt mode to not display correctly, i.e. because the central landing gear is too tall and too far back it pushes it over?
That's just a hypothetical but yeah, at the end of the day this figure kicks a shitload of skid-plate! :D
OMG! G1 Trypticon has wheels on his tail, that's not where real tyrannosauruses had wheels! No one had even invented the wheel when tyrannosauruses were around! And if they had wheels on their tails they would have rolled backwards when they tried to sit down! Stupid Hasblow failed again!
:D
i think they're over-analyzing things too considering this is a Transformer, which typically dont do normal aircraft takeoffs/landings.
for example g1 ending - 19 secs in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AepP9yAyrmo
so who's going to get 3??? or is it 4??
Guys, I like aircraft and was just making an observation based on that fact.
@Sky Shadow: If T-Rexs had wheels on their tails dude, they'd be one step closer to this:

I did find your post pretty darn funny though! :p:D

OMG! Tyrannosauruses did have wheels on their tails! And roller skates! Forgive, me for my doubtfulness, Hasbro!
LOL :p:D
Man I so want a complete one of those, so my Generations army of Sweeps lead by United Scourge can do battle with this wheeled Tyrannosaurus, I just don't know how they'll land afterwards! :p
(Sorry I had to, I'd really like to get my hands on Krulos and his T-rex pet though :D)
my first scourge is going to be awesome :)
just watched the video review and i love the weapon storage in the wings. i hope a third party designs replacement weapons that combine into fracas ;)
Peaugh reviews Generations G2 Laser Optimus Prime
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkNeMdQ6evM&
Laser Prime is my least favourite of the upcoming deluxes, but seeing as he wields a sword (and my affinity for sword wielding bots), I'll still most likely pick this one up.
I like how his sword converts and stores away in alt mode... and that's about it for this guy - not a fan of how he looks in either his alt or bot mode, but then again the whole of G2 and this homage is 'meh' for me.
reveal the shield special ops jazz review
a good review which points out the important flaws with the hasbro release. hopefully TT fixes these or otherwise reprolabels might be needed.
Can't believe there is no detailing on the back lol.
Well Reprolabels will fix all that up. And Takara will as well I imagine.
Haha, seems to be the day of video reviews huh Kaiden? :p
Internet personality, Peaugh, reviews of:
Reveal The Shield - Legends Starscream
Reveal The Shield - Legends Prowl
Generations - Deluxe Scourge
Yes, I know this is the second video review of Scourge, the figure is freaking awesome and differing opinions are always welcome. ;):D
Interesting to see that legends Starscream has two cockpits... I actually didn't see that one coming.
I have the RTS Jazz and I have to say one of the best Classics in a long time. May even get the Takara version too :D
Yeah likewise... quite a clever transformation for a Legends toy though - it's probably one of the best transformations I've seen in this size class - a definite must-get for me despite my dislike for sub-Deluxe size molds.
+1 Totally agree with you on that one - it's fantastic! :D
Another Peaugh review, this time? - Reveal The Shield: Legends Megatron.
I'm also considering the suggestion of painting the Gun Barrel black ;), and I agree dude that importing a Legends Class figure would be near on impossible to justify. :o
Certainly is a damn good Legends figure though - the designers seem to be trying to push the engineering with this size class to it's max with these G1 homages. :D
Damn impressive that they got the proportions of robot mode so accurate considering the alt mode is hardly compromised!
dawww legends megatron is adorable...
Re Jazz, what is this trend that's developing of ignoring tail lights but putting superfluous paint apps everywhere else? (also see: Sidearm Sideswipe)
Another video review by Peaugh, this time Reveal The Shield: Legends Optimus Prime
RTS Windcharger bio
Quote:
Windcharger isn't precisely the fastest Autobot on the ground, but he does have the highest acceleration. Heedless of any passengers he might be carrying, he goes from zero to 130 miles per hour in less than a second, and screeches to a stop almost as fast. His overloaded power plant generates a strong electromagnetic field, which he can direct into powerful blasts from the cannons in his arms.
Hmm that bio is soooo G1 hehehehe:D
kinda hoping the G2 Optimus would be voyager size , can't wait for a potential repaint to Scourge, displaying him with micron legend dark saber >:)
New official images! *Drooooool...*
Out in the US in January. I'm wondering if Scourge has the standard peg holes for the weapon, if so then Universe Cyclonus and Scourge might swap weapons so Scourge can get a targetmaster - I have Henkei Cyclonus so it's not like I need two Cyclonean targetmasters.
Perceptor, Kup and Scourge are the definite must haves in this lot IMHO - can't wait for them to be available for pre-order. :)
On a side note, Scourge is really stretching the dimensions of the deluxe packaging bubble!
