I think muscular is the look they are going for

They sort of give off the impression of Gridiron players in semi-ninja-type-getups, with shells on their backs :p - To be honest, I'm not entirely put off on them but nor am I completely sold on 'em either. :o
Shredder on the other hand looks to be a big fan of sharp edges though huh? :D
Apart from his role as producer, how much input would Michael Bay have on this project? Script? Cinematography? Character Design? How involved is Michael with this project?
No-one really knows. It depends on how much he is a "creative" producer, and how much he is writing the cheques and teeing up the deals. He's not really involved (beyond financing) with a heap of the horror remakes that Platinum Dunes lived off for a while, but... *shrugs* who knows?
All things considered, that Turtle does look like he could kick some ass.
I think his name could just be there since it is his company producing it, so just like Hasbro's "Brian Goldner" being an "Executive Producer" for the Transformers Movies to approve of the instigation of the project and the final product, Michael Bay is probably just rubber stamping/vetoing what his money is paying for.
Since he's so busy with TF4 at the moment, he's probably not too involved in TMNT to do much outside of reviewing the daily updates and pre-production decisions... and would probably only step in if he's worried about the project going off the rails.
The Director and other producers would be taking up most of the workload and creativity.
He probably has as much sway in TMNT as Don Murphy has in Transformers.
But the TF movie haters don't hate on Murphy like they do Bay. But because Bay's name is attached to TMNT, he gets all the blame.
Funny that.
