I play a bit of everything to keep my promotions even, but my favourite has to be the Quarian Engineer (female). Toss down a rocket turret to protect me while I let loose with ice and fire blasts in that order for cryo explosions.

Really though a good game shouldn't make you slog through crap to get to the good parts. It should make you WANT to play to get to the Better parts. Not force you to play through crap to get to the good parts. I'm going to assume that I am just a grumpy old man, but Skyward Sword's irritating legnth of the 'tutorial' section and the inability to speed up the speech text just drove me mad.
- the ting that annoyed me most was the guide chick (I forget her name). I got to the first 'dungeon'.
- landed in the forest.
- there is a volcano with a smoke ring around it dead centre of the screen.
- There is a path in front of me pointing to the aforementioned volcano. Only one path.
- Sword Chicky :Use me to divine the way.
Me: No, I can see the way
words Chicky: use me to divine the way.
Me: Shuttup, let me play the game.
Sword Chicky: use me to divine the way.
Me: turning off game and sticking it on ebay.
I don't believe how much I LOATHED Skyward sword.:D
One can say the same with...
Navi: HEY LISTEN!!
:D:p
But yeah skyward sword does have a lot of hand holding through Fi. To my memory I didn't have wait that much longer pass the first dungeon before I became invested in the game. The end story and plot twists along with fun puzzle's as you progress keeps you going and the challenge you have to go through before you get some good weapon upgrades were fun and rewarding.
Navi had nothing on Fi
"Mastah! The door is locked, there is a 98.859454846267% chance of a key nearby."
Collected all the remaining heart pieces on A link Between Worlds, now just have 1 side quest and the street pass stuff to do then onto hero mode some time in the future
as for Skyward sword, I didn't like it as much as Ocarina but it was still very fun, I didn't' end up taking MASSIVE breaks between starting and completing it though and yes Fi was rather annoying at times. but there wasn't really anything wrong with the game, the items, dungeons and story were all good
I'm hoping the upcoming Wii U Zelda game (not Hyrule Warriors) will be even better
I concede that yes even though Skyward Sword was a good game, Fi did grate on my nerves a fair bit.
Navi is far less annoying (though she is still pretty annoying)
I finished the story, very early this morning. Agree it was good but too much a copy of Arkham City. Exploring the same parts of Gotham was a bit boring and the new weapons weren't all that useful. Flying seemed easier, at least the training challenges were definitely much easier.
I was disappointed to find the game has a post story bug that stops the Triangle button working - so I can't interrogate enemies I need to in order to complete tasks, I can't do silent takedowns. I will probably finish off the extortion files, and whatever the still locked Most Wanted villain is, but then this is a game I'll trade.
One negative side effect. After playing for about 5+ hours last night until about 3am in the morning, when I got in my car and pulled out of my driveway I had a moment where I blinked to turn on my Detective Vision. :o
I have gotta start origins at some stage
But unfortunately still working through city ;) my pile of shame is huuuuggggeee. It's really embarrassing
On a positive note, I'm second play thru on last of us ATM :p
Oh wow. That post game bug is annoyuing then. Just realised that I havent doen most of the stealth challenges, so am currently trying to do them. This game was somewhat lacking in the stealth rooms, which is sad as I really liked that aspect of the series. Having trouble with 'distract a baddy with the sonic batarang' one. Anyone got any tips?
as for the detective vision, well, I had a week or so of getting in my car and seeing things "that looked like good ramps" after playing too much GTA...:p
