It doesn't look like it.
They are usually announced around Oct/Nov and out in Asia in December.
The last one didn't get much of a release, I think only ended up in Canada.

Just wondering if my annoying little QC issue on my MPM Bumblebee wide spread?
The screw that holds the front bumper to the hood of the Camaro wasn't screwed in all the way and because Bee's head was in the way I couldn't tighten the screw. I had to apply pressure to the screw to let the head flip up into it's robot mode place then get out the screw driver and tighten the thing properly.
From this thread:
I recently went toy hunting down the South Coast and indeed stores were few and far between. I always forget that Target Country have no toy sections. :(
This got me thinking... how did people living in the country collect Transformers before online shopping? It's honestly something that I've never thought of before - the joys of never having lived in rural Australia. I did live in rural Japan, but even country Japan has pretty good public transport that I was able to travel to shopping centres easily enough. And where I was living wasn't too remote -- i.e. it took me about 1.5h to get to Tokyo. It's not like living in Hakone where I'm right smack in the middle of nowhere with bugger all shops around (although it was rural enough that there were some homes with drop-toilets!). And I have seen really remote properties in Australia where there are no other signs of humanity for kilometres around.
But yeah, I felt really frustrated toy hunting around Nowra and Kiama, and that's with the luxury of online shopping being a thing.
I grew up in country Victoria, Bairnsdale.
a small town but we were lucky enough to have a Toyworld and a toykingdom, both very small. We also used to have the smallest Myer in the state and they stocked some transformers.
It was an hours drive to the nearest larger town (Sale) and a 3.5 hour drive to Melbourne.
I was lucky enough to get a G1 Megs at one point. All I ever had to go on was what was on the shelves at those stores, especially the Toyworld, and what was in the transformers catalogue in the toys I already had.
I expect my parents (mum really) went out of their way to acquire toys for us growing up. I do know that I spent a whole lot of my pocket money and paper round money at the local toy world, to the point that even now I stop by when I'm home and the store owner knows me by name...
A couple years ago when I was looking for some old boxes to scan to help out the guy making that Transformers legacy book I came across an old laybuy receipt from there. it was a good cm thick. I remember in my early Teens starting a laybuy with them and continuing it for months going in every week or two and adding my money to it. They even let me add a couple toys to it when I saw them in store. That's how I got the Protectobots among others, they might have been the 'gold box' release, I can't recall.
Does anyone know if the Australian stock of POTP has Jazz with the MAGA missprint and the original or fixed Starscream?
I can understand wanting to know about Starscream though. :) I guess wait until someone else gets it first and reviews it.
Where is everyone here getting their Titans Return Ramhorns?
I'll suggest that if you want a Ramhorn and you don't have TR Perceptor look at getting LG Perceptor as he has Ramhorn packed in. Not a perfect solution, but it's another option.
Still instock at about $30US from HLJ and robotkingdom.
I like him, I think he’s a major step up from the RTS version. Very G1 bot mode but a pretty basic transformation.
If it did carry across here (& probably in limited quantities) I'd imagine something following similar to this.

Dumb questions alert...
What is this Studio Series toyline that is coming out for the movies?
We have MPM, Movie Best and the standard movie lines so where does Studio Series fit into the continuum of movie toys?
Also any reason I should give up on MPM and switch to Studio Series?
As noted by Paulbot, we haven't had an official announcement yet, but there have been a lot of leaks so far. And we've just seen at Kmart last week, shelf tags for the Studio Series Deluxe and Voyagers. (no stock yet though)
^ So I take it Hasbro is (unsuccessfully) trying to keep them a secret and have them all show up at retailers around the world on the same day to create some sort of buzz in the fandom.
Well NY Toy Fair starts this weekend so I guess they will spill the beans then.
Anyone know why TakaraTOMY have increased the age limit for POTP to "Ages 15+"?!? I can understand it for Binaltech, Smallest Transforming Transformers, Masterpiece etc., but Power of the Primes? Really? TakaraTOMY Mall is also listing the same thing.
My guess would be that although the toys can obviously be enjoyed by any age, they're getting behind the line as catering to older fans, rather than younger ones. They are only guidelines after all, much like with Lego sets.
Seems maybe like a bigger disparity than here. When I was at Myer this week, plenty of kids there were going through the POTP and walking away with some, even mixing them in with RID stuff. I have little experience beyond walking through retail in Japan, but the Generations moulds seem to be a lot more segregated from the more kid-appealing RID stuff I saw there.
The age limits are there to legally protect companies should kids who are too young to access them have access and hurt themselves.
e.g. Japanese G1 reissues have full strength missile launchers because they don't need to worry about choking hazards when the toys aren't marketed at kids. It exempts them from child safety laws.
Unless TakaraTOMY have made some kind of modification to these POTP figures that no longer makes them compliant to child safety laws then I don't see any reason why they would restrict sales to kids. Adult collectors will still buy toys even if the age recommendation is younger. After all, G1 was marketed as "Ages 5 and Up" and it's not as if any of us stopped collecting G1 after the age of 6 (many of us were already older than 5 when G1 started).
My theory is that someone did an incorrect copy and paste job that's stuck and others have just copied it without thinking. Pretty epic error if that's so.
PP is going to be identical to POTP so unless they didn't pass Japanese safety laws I can't see why they wouldn't be the same age rating as the Hasbro release.
How many unique trade paperbacks do you think IDW release a year that are Transformers related? not including things like the collected wreckers 1 and 2 as a single volume. but including each of those volumes, as an example of what I'm looking at.
I'm guessing it would be somewhere between 10 and 15. taking into account the revolutions and first strike stuff as well as lost light, optimus prime and miniseries like the windblade one.
it looks like the answer is about 7, January to December last year, assuming the annuals end up as part of a trade at some point. I thought it would be more. there are other collections but they are 'multi volume' collections.
Seems about right - around 2 a year for the main series (5-6 issues per volume) and then a couple more for the things like the vsGijoe and the Revolution crossover stuff.
The previous annuals were in the trades of their series and I'd expect the same for Optimus Prime and Till All Are One series.
I'm trying to weigh up getting a kings membership card vs buying from the book depository or similar.
I've had a few books from the book depository get damaged in transit and the customer service has been mediocre.
but. I'm behind in my purchasing of trades at the moment. so I'm looking at getting 8 trades. through kings comics that comes to about $252, with a $25 gold membership included, it works out to be about $252 including the 10 % discount, ironically. with the book depository, including postage I can get the whole lot for $184. That's not a bad price difference.
even saving 10% on the cover price of the Phantom, which is pretty much the only other comic series I spend money on, I'd only be saving another $25.
the membership last for a year, so I could save another $20 to $30 on another 7 odd transformers trades but I could save approximately another $60-$70 buying the same books from the book depository.
It looks like I'm going to be spending more money at the book depository. And spending the savings on Transformers:D
For me, Book Depository has been great for packaging so I would be more than happy to keep getting stuff from them. Although I guess it only takes one bad experience to put you off.
to top it off I subscribed to the phantom. so I don't' even need to go to the shop for that anymore.
I'm surprised to hear that you've had a few books damaged - I've regularly bought from them for years now and never had any books (all paperbacks) arrived damaged.
Could this potentially be your postie's handywork?
Perhaps have them sent to work?
I had one that was water damaged, badly and the shipping box/envelope was undamaged. it never should have been sent.
Another very early on was a black and white digest style trade, there were about 5 pages that weren't even cut. that one I got a refund on.
True, I've had a few that were also definitely part of the shipping services fault, a trade that had it's spine shattered, through the shipping envelope. but there's no way of knowing where in the long chain that happened. Our local postie is usually very good.
All the Legends toys are classed as 15 and up as well Gok, so its been like that since at least then. Not too sure about when they were generations.
Generations toys are just an aisle away from the other kiddy lines in most Japanese stores. They certainly aren't anywhere near the gundam model kits and more "mature" toys. Transformers are just lumped together, movie, RID leftovers and Genertions, all on the shelves.
How does one get in touch with a Mod? I can't find a tech support thread so I hope this isn't out of line asking here. I'd like to change the title of my sales thread.
