The case is about 15X bigger that the toy itself, so are you paying for the small toy or the very large case it's in?

what is the point of grading loose transformers... doesnt that effectivly make them re-sealed....
and they look crap displayed that way.. some background or something would make it a little nicer at least stupid afa
The unfortunate thing is that due to all the dumb asses that pay premium for AFA graded products, it is now more profitable to remove the TF from a sealed 'age worn' box and send it to AFA for grading.
Personally, I don't understand why anyone would want a loose AFA graded toy. I can somewhat understand why an MISB collector would want a graded boxed toy. But the final cost defeats the purpose of it from anyone who wants it for their collection and not for re-selling.
Also what are AFA's qualifications when it comes to grading toys? If such an expensive service cannot tell the difference between a G1 Bumblebee and a Clifjumper figure then how can I trust them to produce the right grading?
