No difference except the packaging and the RID scanning sticker on the shoulder.

I'm not going to count Kreo (that's merchandise) and say Wildwheel is the first.
New question for the video gamers (I guess) if I trade in some games at EB Games can I put the trade value towards paying off my Seacon/Unicron preorders?
We've seen the listings on the 86 movie figures in the Studio line. What do you guys think the chances are that these are repaints of Studio figures vs the chances of new G1 based moulds?
The more I think about it the more I think its just repaints.
Honestly, I think it's new molds. There were a few pictures about two weeks back of Earthrise Thrust, that Top Gun TF, and a new-mold Cyclonus, but the Cyclonus really doesn't match the greebly/detailed design of the Earthrise toys IMO. Plus it's not an Earth-y type mold, though neither are a few of the other ER molds, so I'm giving that less weight. So there's reasonable odds - again, just guessing here - that that might be a Studio Series deluxe toy rather than an Earthrise one.
If Turbomaster Hyperdrive had been produced what would his colours have been? I've only seen the concept art.
My personal theory is that Hyperdrive was a prototype for Thunder Clash, so the colours would've been similar to his. I honestly don't know, but being the early 90s it probably would've been several kinds of bright pastel colours.
I thought Hyperdrive out ranked Thunderclash?
Distribution question: do stores get all of their TF stock at once, or do different lines come in at different times/dates?
Depends. If its a sale or new line like the Netflix & G1 Minibots, usually all at once or in close proximity of each other depending on release dates.
If its a regular shelf line, it'll depend on store sales and inventory control. So you may get 2 boxes of Earthrise, then 3 weeks later a box of RID etc.
I can't guarantee anything, but I can keep an eye out for Shatter and send one your way
A WTB post may also improve your chances?
Cheers, but for now I'm thinking wait and see if it shows up locally at KMart. :)
Will put up a WTB later if it looks like it's not coming this way.
Does anyone remember the prices for the following Masterpiece figures when they were first released:
MP-10 Masterpiece Optimus Prime
Masterpiece Bumblebee
Masterpiece Ultra Magnus
Masterpiece Sideswipe
Masterpiece Wheeljack
Masterpiece Ironhide
Go to the 2020 toy listing here, and click on previous years (from 2012 onwards, as that's when MP10 was listed). Original retail prices for every item on your list should be there.
Are the heads of Siege tetrajet Voyager Starscream and Earthrise Voyager Starscream cross-compatible? It looks like you should be able to do a headswap but I don't have either/both of them to compare.
Ta. :)
It depends on what you're trying to swap.
There's a panel on the tetrajet that sits flush with the head (although it doesn't appear to serve a purpose) that isn't on the earthrise mould.
The earthrise mould is also designed to sit pretty flush with the nosecone, while the Siege one seems more boxy, so I think there would need to be some work there too.
Just switching the heads from one balljoint to another.
I was wondering - if they ever release them in a way that anyone who isn't a North American scalper can get their hands on a set - that if you had the Earthrise Skywarp/Thundercracker set and any one of the Siege seeker/tetrajet molds, would you be able to switch out the screaming Skywarp head for a tetrajet head so you'd have a less goofy expression but with a slightly different headsculpt for variety's sake, as well as potentially mixing up the tetrajet faces a little (for example on Hotlink or one of the Rainmaker trio if you have/can get a hold of them too).
Not that it makes much difference for most of us right now what with that good old Australian TF distribution... :(
Does anyone know how widespread the weak neck issue with the Netflix Hound figure is?
OK, so in case anyone else was wondering about/thinking of doing this, someone else asked-and-answered the question on TFW.
Siege and Earthrise Seeker headswaps are basically not possible without having to modify the toys, because the balljoints on both molds are different sizes. The Siege one is larger, so the Siege head on the Earthrise body will be loose, and the Earthrise head won't fit on the tetrajet neck/balljoint.
Bugger.
Do we have a time estimate for Earthrise wave 2? I haven't seen a very strong release window, but it seems they're starting to pop up in some places worldwide.
According to this site's toy checklist ;) the date given on press releases for wave 2 was August, so even with the virus delays and reduced sales/turnover, the release of most of wave 2 in the last two weeks, is pretty much on schedule.
That is strange. I saw that Snapdragon was indeed found on its own in america... but the Judge was originally listed as wave 2 and even has the WFC number to prove it. Maybe it was pushed back to make way for the Quintesson pack that would have been out this month as a SDCC exclusive.
Hey everyone,
I looked through the retailers review section, however i couldn't find anything on collecticon Toys. I have never used them, but i am contemplating pre-ordering Generations Select God Neptune. (ordering 2, one to mess around with, and one as a pristine collector item to be kept in box) just wondering if anyone has ever had any exp[experiences with them.
Cheers
Other than Wildwheel are there other TF cowboys, personality wise?
I wanna say one of the Cybertron characters.... Thundercracker? ... had a comedic western cowboy characterisation going on.
Maybe something in the Japanese Beast Wars cartoons too... I know they have the Mexican band version of Tripledacus and I feel like a Cowboy might have fit in somewhere.
Beast Wars had one or two. Quickstrike had a cowboy-style speech pattern, and Cohrada's robot mode had cowboy-esque styling, not sure about his personality though.
RiD X-Brawn was played a little bit cowboy-ish, though it was a bit indistinguishable from general tough-guy sometimes too.
Honestly, a few of the G1 Autobots had a farily cowboy-ish vibe IMO, most particularly Ironhide and Inferno. That could just be me though, but then again I think one of Peter Cullen's go-to voices was his 'cowboy' voice that he used for Ironhide. If you remember the old Dino Riders cartoon he did the exact same voice/character for the equivalent 'tough-old-guy' character there.
RID Ironhide maybe? He had a bull on his hood so maybe?
Thanks guys, you've given me plenty to look up :)
Whats causes chrome to fade/change colour? Example below my vintage prime, he wasnt looking too bad a while ago but I got him out of deltof this evening and his chrome wear is now significant, he was battle hardened but he was still reasonably shiny. Temperature is petty constant, perhaps the plastics/rubber items around him?

Probably more a humidity issue than a temperature one but I'm not actually sure.
Yeah I can imagine, considering his personal importance its just sad to see how downhill he has gone in a short space of time :(
Hi all. Are we expecting ER Snapdragon to show up here in general retail?
Had search but counldn't find an answer.
Cheers.
