edit: red iron mans feet look munted because I stupidly cut into his box too far and ruined the paint apps
Yes I'm late to this thread. Deal with it :p
That's awesome Hursty! I had the entire Spyrius collection when I was a kid and only got rid of the big robot you're referring to about 10 years ago (Silly me) all I have left now is the base.
Anyway, as I just need a few quick answers and don't want to start a thread, where does one get decently priced lego these days? I am after the 60046 set for my niece as she likes it and it's $100 in stores here but have seen it on Amazon for $50, buuuut as you lot would already know I can't get it shipped here. So where is priced good?
Was going to say shopforme.com.au as they have some decent prices for lego sets at times but I just had a look and this set was sold out there. Still decent place for future consideration.
Think the lego sales in stores are hitting soon so $80 is not quite the Amazon price after shipping but not too bad.
Got all 9 series 2 Lego Mixels. Very cute.:D
After an incredibly busy past month of work, This is what I've gotten my hands on in that time...

Sea cow looks good I must say. Took long to build?
nexusnixx:
It is great. The build was great with some challenging parts and great techniques used throughout and fine detailing. Took about 9 hours all up. It's massive as well. 62cm tall and long. 20 cm wide.
Bidoofdude:
No unfortunately. Maybe why they didn't include Batman in the set.
Woke up early this morning to bid on a custom deadpool minifig. its the grey xforce version. Iwon it =]
I went Mega Bloks crazy in Australia
A combination of sale prices, cheaper RRP than New Zealand and not being able to get in New Zealand helped in my decision to purchase. Had top un box them all to get them home, and was very close to my weight limit for my suitcase

Again sale price + cheaper RRP equalled good purchase

Yeah, I was over in NZ and prices are crazy and supply even rarer for the Halo Mega Bloks stuff.

Nice collection there Colin! How'd you find the GotG sets? I've got all 3 plus the xmen Set waiting to be built, and the Nowhere escape set looks like it isn't worth building (only good for the minifigs, like the Batman steam roller set.
Full details when they arrive but I caved and bought my first lego train... Hello new money sink.
Paid of a layby I had today, containing Lego items I purchased in the July school holiday sales

I have some building to do, and then some re-arranging of what is on display to fit any of this in
Pretty impressive there colin78.
Am waiting for the batman tumbler to arrive.
So. I love the Agents sets and these 3rd generation ones are impressive.

The highlight is definitely the Infearno's Interception set (70162) with the best vehicle ever designed by Lego. To top it off Infearno himself is the best looking villain. The truck s great but I give the edge to the original Agents Truck from 2010, but it's sturdy and has some excellent gimmicks.
The Hurricane Heist set is massive as you can see. I was very surprised. It may look awkward as a mech but think of it as a backpack.
The smallest kit is actually feature packed. Paws very surprised at what they did in such a small set.
The most disappointing is Toxikita's Heli set. The lab was ok but am not a fan of "facades" i'd rather something solid or whole like a vehicle. Might rebuild it into one. Toxikita is a disappointing minifig especially being a main villain. The Heli is ok but composed of large bits to make up for lack of parts.
Can't wait to see the next wave in 2015.
That is one jaw-droppingly great collection you've amassed, Colin78, so many incredibly sets you've accumulated!:cool:
That Lay-By of yours contains some pretty damn cool sets, too, Zippo! ;):D
Did you get the agents sets online or in store? I've bent waiting for them to be released :D
A bit better priced than the licensed stuff. Big W prices (RRP in brackets):
Ultra Agent Headquarters (Truck) - $125 ($140)
Hurricane Heist - $88 ($90)
Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown - $48 ($60)
Infearno Interception (car) - $35 ($40)
Tremor Track Infiltration - $25 ($30)
Riverside Raid - $15 ($16)
Cheers!
today for Daddees day i got the 3 GotG sets.....Awesome stuff, now just to find Star-Lord that the Sharkticon has run off with!!
Got the three GotG sets a while back, finished making them while watching the Knights and Panthers finish the regular season brilliantly!
Sadly the Middle set is crudtacular, only worth it due to coming with Groot and Rocket, the big Milano set is bulky (too wide for kids to easily swoosh around, but looks alright, the build was nowhere near as interesting as I thought it would be. Only the small set was worth the price (and I got them from Amazon, so about 30% cheaper than AU RRP).
Very disappointing, as the only other lego sets that I have felt were as weak as these were most of the Hobbit sets (only Bag End, Finding the Ring, Mirkwood Army and maybe lake Town sets were decent, the Dol Guldur and Mirkwood spiders were pathetic).
Hoping that the Agents and second wave of movie sets can make up for the overall disappointment of the GotG sets.
