In comparison to today's prices HD I think you got a steal there. That is truly an exceptional piece (don't think the box is C9.5 condition though :p)

Sorry, I was a little loose when calling the box C9.5. I know there are visible creases on some of the edges, but there is just no avoiding these things because of the relatively flimsy composition of the box and the size and weight of Fort Max. Unless someone is very very careful, he/she is almost bound to add creases to the box in one way or another when handling it. Even when I was a kid, I never really saw a Fort Max (or C-114) box that can be considered factory fresh. The very act of removing it from the carton and moving it will crease the box faces and cause flaying near the box edges...

Being one of the key pieces in 1987, I do highly getting a Fort Max. It's a very awesome toy if you have HOCs, SCFs or WSTs to go with it - truely a veritable city. gdmetro, maybe this will further sway you.

Mind you, I paid a lot of money for my C-114 MIB (C9.5 box, toy, stickers, complete paperworks and complete inserts). It's a really key piece to me, so I just gotta have the best. Also, I didn't want the nightmare of having to hunt for parts. Master Sword is still obtainable, but the master sword (the small black one for cerebros) is nigh impossible to find loose.

This is my C-114, which I paid AU$1800 for in 2007. Shocking I know. But I don't regret it, yet. :D

And what is that? $20K + HKD? Isn't that like over $2500 AUD? :eek: WOW..

That is beyond Ebay price especially for yellowed ones.. even $1.5K would be too much. What are those guys smoking?

And they're still sold. It's these insanely well-off mainland Chinese that buy them. I just saw another C-114 MIB today. Bet you it'll be sold by this time next week.
