Imagine the horror of the autobot ground troops as a swirling deadly barrage of photon laser/ explosive shells/ null rays rain down on them plus a blanketing of cluster bombs and other regular bombs after, but that's not all they can't prepare/defend against it since they're incapacitated first with a deadly sonic boom attack before and after... with the enemy warping in and out at speeds able to achieve interstellar travel in seconds, it'll be very hard to pinpoint your laser gun and shoot - shoot where?.:D
