I've gotten a bunch of emails from Amazon AU saying my various Transformers items are delayed. They are still coming in, but so far everything I had on order for July to August is delayed.
Well shit, at this rate Wreck-Gar might actually be on my local shelves before Amazon delivers. The saving from buying from there just ain't going to keep me from grabbing it locally if that happens.
At least it is easy to cancel Amazon orders, without a penalty (like some places that blacklist you if you cancel too many pre-orders), and no issues about money as they don't charge anything until it is in-stock.
When I ended up getting a Galvatron at a store, I cancelled my Amazon order... and it was less than a dollar extra (I paid $89, and the Amazon price was about $88 I think).
I preordered Shattered Glass Blurr and got a second email informing of the delay, which was expected. However, the email went on further to give me $10 credit as an apology, so make sure to read through the whole email!
Just got that e-mail this evening. Won't make me buy Galvatron from them if they can't provide it first, but I'll damn sure take the discount for whatever else I get (if those things turn up, that is...)
I got that email as well, 5 different times for all the different transformers I have preordered that are delayed.
But even though the email said the $10.00 would be automatically applied next time I buy something shipped and sold by AmazonAU, it did not actually activate when I made a purchase just now.
Same for me, I got the email for 3 different orders but there was no credit at checkout.Quote:

So even though you are purchasing the item from the Australian Amazon website, the seller details will show when you select an item. If the seller is anyone other than Amazon AU then the credit won't be applied (my item was being sold by Amazon US, even though I was on Amazon.com.au).

Note that it also won't appear on your order history as a "promotional credit", but will actually offset the prices of your items.

Nice. I just checked and the order I placed for the Ark a long time ago got the discounted price applied. That makes it much more bearable for me since I'm just interested in Teletran 1 and Mainframe. (though I hope Mainframe gets released at some point in the future in his G1 colours.)
I too hope he gets his G1 colours too. Kinda funny though he'll just transform into a brick haha
