all of the above lol, but feel the 'phrase' is more relevant nowadays in a different way where many people can't be bothered to google or search for information themselves and simply asks others to "please explain " on anything everything :)

"I used to look up the Funk and Wagnalls."
"Paulbot please there's no need to swear."
Forget plagiarism, I encounter senior students who cannot even engage in a discussion without having to whip out a device to Google stuff because they just don't retain knowledge in their brains!
Problem I have is people rely too much on google and too much on evidence based on studies even though it shows the studies are outdated.
I always see people challenging only based on what they googled but have not used life experience or choose to ignore someone who has new facts but yet to be studied.
Back to vent tf thread, is so quiet for MPs now.
Yeah and Hot Rod just came out last week :D
Geez if this is 'quiet time' for MPs I'd hate to see the busy season  As it is I've had to cancel my Ramjet preorder as with the other MPs being released I can't afford him.
Combiner Wars concept is awesome but that's it for me. Design wise they are just 'ok' and some bordering on mediocre. There isn't much in Combiner Wars that is compelling in the design or engineering to make them truly special.
I have bought only a few toys of this line because I didn't find their designs compelling enough. The only combiner I bought was Superion because none of the 3Ps had offered one that I was truly happy with and even so, not that blown away with the Combiner Wars Superion either - It is just 'alright'.
I agree with Trev's sentiments. Meanwhile, in the land of facts...

I've never seen a year so busy for MP collecting! These toys naturally come out at a slower rate because they are a more quality-focused line over the mainline stuff. Just looking at the crazy degree of engineering that was poured into MP Ironhide is mind boggling. That level of technical wizardry doesn't happen overnight. And remember that this the same creative team who are also simultaneously working on other TF lines, such as Combiner Wars, RiD, Titans Returns etc. It's not as if there's a team who are solely dedicated to developing MPs and nothing else for TakaraTOMY.
Guess they can't make everyone happy.
But then it's not a fact supported by peer review, and has less formal standing in a debate.
The issue with a google search (more so the internet in general) is that there is enough information out there that can be contorted to support whatever you want it to say.
A lot of ignorance. All I have to say people are blinded by what they know but have no balls to open to what new findings.
Just because some one made a study it suddenly became more credit? Ffs a lot need to open up more.
I am facing an issues with doctors who think steroid cream on skin has no after effects. Australia has no freaking clue what the cream does to some people. There is almost zero study here where only now US have opened to such withdraw symptoms on people do happen.
It looks as if I must do a study just to shoot all the doctors here. And even today tonight has open up to it but doctors refuse to recognise such thing. What a f up system
Given what seemed to be a severe dislike of Masterpiece Tracks on your part (I gotta admit I did not find him the greatest MP myself, still liked him but like most of the others better) I'm surprised to find you so adamant that so many more MP's should be getting released, especially given we've just had Hot Rodimus last month, Ironhide the month before that, getting Laserwave and Ramjet this month and getting Ratchet the month after (apologies - cant remember when Primal is getting released as wont be getting him).
Given past disappointments with your fav TF toyline and your dislike of the movies, have you ever given any thought to maybe another hobby might bring you more joy than Transformers? The kids of today seem to be really into the Marvel and DC superhero movies, you might like them better than the Transformers ones and they come with action figures and comics too. Star Wars is pretty big at the moment, you might like that one. Or maybe something different altogether - I enjoy gardening and travel myself, but there are plenty of other pursuits that bring pleasure - sport, music etc. Or of course maybe you could meet a nice girl and have a few kids - I find family life very rewarding indeed. Maybe one or more of these things might make you happier than Transformers does in the long run and introduce you to some new internet chat sites to have fun on :)

Went to buy MTMTE #50 today but the store looked it up and it said it was in next week. Left work early for nothing and suspect it might actually be released today. Can't really look up to check on the delay as people have been posting spoilers as the digital copy got pirated out early.
I regularly skip leg day at the gym. Do you think if I rub steroid cream on them, they'll catch up to the rest of my body? :p
Also, I'd like to vent. I'm really excited about the amount of MP's being released so close to each other this year, however my wallet is crying and my wife is complaining. What's the best way to keep them both quiet, keeping in mind that ceasing to collect is not an option? :D
huh, Kings comics don't seem to get their stock until Thursdays. I did note that the weekly release newsletter from them this week only has one comic from IDW and it's not transformers related.
haha, I don't know how many workplaces would consider that as reasonable cause.
It's definitely delayed, in physical and digital stores.
I think people misunderstand what i meant.
I said mp news have been quiet. Other than primal I heard zero about what's for the rest of the year.
As for Tracks, yes is a major dislike. I am disappointed but I kept it as is one of my G1 wants. I do not need to care what you guys think about the masterpiece line. However maybe it helps if you know I get them very cheap and in some cases free. I do however judge each mp toy for what it is. I don't sugarcoat bs .
If the toy fits to be a mp then it should be a good guideline.
Nobody here needs to tell me "if you don't like masterpiece don't buy one"
I didn't need to buy some and I do not just collect tfs. All the talk about Tracks have indeed change my feelings about MPs and indeed I am no longer as hungry to buy everything.
Fort max was not my cup, and I left it as that. There is nothing wrong with it but it does not excite me as what devy or metroplex did.
I do feel however the 3p company are doing a better job in pushing out pretty decent mp like products. Though I have not buy one, I am not one sighted TT fan.
Late last year we were spoilt rotten with Masterpiece announcements. They all just came in a flurry. So now we're in a little air pocket but I don't doubt there will be another rush of announcements in the next month or two.
But the upside is that we are now getting so many of the previously announced Masterpieces hitting our doorsteps so I'm just enjoying that and not just looking forward to the next release. Personally, the Combiner Wars and now Titans Return announcements are a nice supplement to Masterpiece that I don't find myself getting bored. I'm grateful that I've gotten more serious about the hobby only in the last couple years when the Masterpiece release schedule has really ramped up as shown by Goki.
I think we will have another Tokyo exclusive, it just depends on which mp gets it.
I would expect another two MPs by end of this year just like Tracks and Road Rage. A yellow bee would have helped to fill the gaps.
The cw series and new head masters are great , provided I am a teenage kid which is why I am not into them personally. This does not mean they are bad toys.
One of my main sources of G1, G2 and later BW Transformers is now shutting down. :(
That's what I get for not reading to the end of the article (I've had a loooooong day ) :p
I think I've purchased one Transformer from there... my Combiner Wars Rodimus. Never bought any G1 Transformers from there, so it doesn't really hold any nostalgic meaning for me. The first Transformer that I got from Kmart Castle Hill in 1988 was Waverider.
No, definitely not colour blind here, and MP21 is definitely within the yellow part of the light spectrum, it's just Volkswagen's signature deeper yellow, and matches his G1 cartoon and toy colours. A bright lemon yellow beetle would just look... Odd. Also lemon yellow figures just look tacky imo (see CW Sunstreaker)
Well a week of 41 degree temperatures took its toll. The upper jaw fell off my Grimlock AOE display stand yesterday :(. Seems every 6 months a piece falls off the big bugger.
Don't know if he's going to survive until our house extention with the Transformatorium room is ready.
