The Blue Power Jet is a nice looking set. The colour scheme is very 'USA'. At $68 sale price (from $89.95 RRP) it's a pretty good deal. How much was 31037 Adventure Vehicles on sale for at Big W?

Thanks for the heads-up. The jet was in last week's catalogue for $68 (??!!). At $55 it's almost 40% off RRP, almost a 'Drop Zone' price. Big W did the same thing with the Technic Street Bike (42036) from $38 to $35. That's about 30% off RRP (not quote Drop Zone though).
Built the Jet today. It is brilliant!
Next on the list to build is the Pirates Chess set.:)
Did anyone's local Big W's get the Helicarrier in, and if so, how many? Is the box fairly large?
Hugely large.... Death Star/SSD large. Sydney opera house large.
Or if your not in that league, size of 2 old school modulars.
Bought the tie fighter and tumbler after work tonight! More for the todo pile

we got in the ewok village again too which was a surprise
Just bought my Tie Fighter and Tumbler from Target online Toy sale! No need to rush around come sale day now.:D

So so very awesome!
That's a big mark up on the US price, but it is out much earlier her than I anticipated!
I kinda missed the release date - now sold out everywhere I can think of and eBay prices are insane. I was told that they were a limited release and no more sets are going to be made (which is stupid considering the demand), so it looks like I've missed out on Wall*E. Which is a damned shame, it's one of my favourite films.:(
You might get lucky, as I know a whole bunch of stores (TRU au included) that did not get stock or were told to hold off on putting it out due to the floppy neck issue. I was lucky to nab mine from shopforme and I'm happy to deal with the neck issue later once a good fix (official or otherwise) has been found.
So keep looking at lego shop and stores as there will be another batch in the near future.
got the gargoyle and werewolf minifig. both are really nice, but theyll be the only two i get from this wave.
I have been looking everywhere for the UCS Tie Fighter since I missed out in the Target sales.
Arrive home with the kids tonight from their drama practice and see a giant cardboard box on the bench.
My wife had bought it for me for Fathers Day/Birthday when it was on special on the Lego store.
What a F'N champ she is.
^ The Champ's now expecting big things for Mother's Day. :D
I usually just cherry pick a a couple of figs from the mini-figure line. Pretty excited when I saw Series 14 - picked up Zombie Pirate Captain, Spectre, and Fly Monster (recently watched The Fly starring Jeff Goldblum). Went back the next day and grabbed Zombie Businessman, Banshee, and Gargoyle.
Lego has been the bane of my wallet of late thanks to the shopforme prices and Toysrus sales.
Picked up the Kwik-e-mart, Space Shuttle and some of the smaller city sub sets from Shop for me and got the Xwing, City Space Shuttle and Jango Fett and Commander Cody as well as two more sets of train points from the toys r us sale.
Now to stay away from Big W sale prices!
That space shuttle set looks really impressive.
Does anyone know if the Quik E Mart is on sale anywhere at the moment? As in discounted?
It is in next weeks Big W catalog for $268 if I remember correctly.
I picked up the Scooby Do Mystery Mansion from Big W. The Mystery Mansion is the perfect backdrop for the latest series of Minifigures.
At the Big W 20% off sale I picked up a Ultra Agents Inferno's Interception, it was on Drop Zone as well making it a great buy.
Also grabbed a Creator Bike Shop and Cafe :) pretty happy with this it instantly makes a lego city feel bigger.
second lego acquisition in 25 years.
picked up the Creator blue jet, which is a pretty spiffy model of the F-35 during the 20% off sale at Big W.
quite happy with that.
Bookends in place. Now just need a new UCS Millenium Falcon.

Managed to pick up a Lego Ideas Wall-E and the Big Bang Theory set from an online retailer called Just Bricks. The prices were a tad high but shipping was very cheap and it was shipped very quickly and securely.
Wall-E is a very solid set, a great size and looks beautiful but without too many bells and whistles. The Big Bang set was underwhelming, pretty uninspired. The minifigs are not particularly good likenesses of the characters and the room is a bit too small to include very many cool Easter eggs for lovers of the show. And no Lego Lego Death Star, which is quite frankly a missed opportunity.
So after not buying/getting a lego set for probably 15~ years...
I just Picked up 9 Star Wars Lego sets and sat on the floor for 25 hours casually building them while watching TV. (Over 3 nights). I picked myself up all 7 new sets from the Force Awakens, and 75038 and 75040 I think it was. I spent like $800~ in Kmart at once for them though :D (I'll post a pic later, I just cleared off one of my desks for these guys).
Downside is now I'm craving more, anyone know of any reliable places to get the 2014-2015 Star Wars sets for a better price than retail? I been looking around but it doesn't even seem overseas is that much better price wise.
Getting Lego Addicted now :D
Lego: plastic crack. Once you start, there is no stop. :D
Try shopforme they are based in Melbourne and usually are 20% cheaper than retail (about the same prices as Big W or Kmart sale prices) and get stock in earlier than brick and mortar stores.
You usually have to be fairly quick for the more popular sets as once their stock gets low the prices do increase.
Ever since lego banned amazon and Barnes and noble etc from shipping overseas it's getting more expensive. If you aren't massively into the mini figures but want just the sets it does make it easier on eBay and bricklink as there are a massive amount of sellers who pull out the minifigs and on sell the actual construction part.
