Locked in SS86 Slug for that price even tho it's out of stock
Well, there's the Ark ordered. About $13 cheaper than I got Omega Supreme and Scorpy for.
And now I sit back and watch the e-mails roll in, telling me how they're having difficulty "sourcing" the product, just like the other things I've got on order...
Not going to complain about a few more dollars being shaved off Wreck-Gar though. Maybe it'll drop again before they manage to "source" some.
I was hoping so too, as they keep advertising the "cheapest price guarantee"... and the one benefit of it being delayed (was meant to be out August 1st), is it captured this discount, that may not have been intended when this sale was originally planned, due to the fact that all of those sale items should have already been released, and the discounts would only apply to any leftover stock (if any).
Kingdom Beast Megatron $37.40. Only 2 left at this time.
Grabbed WreckGar, Slug, Ark and Botropolis, with the first 3 now joining the long list of waiting for stock orders with Amazon. Should've grabbed another Scorponok at that price, but no need for it I guess. Doesn't look like you can order any of these now.
I never had any intention of getting Botropolis or the Ark, but Amazon got the better of me...
So does Amazon honor pricing errors? Probably not...
Generations Selects Titan Black Zarak for $41.54
I don't understand how Amazon gets away with no honouring the price. At work, unless we suspect someone has been deceptive (or a customer has just dumped an item in the wrong spot (which is really easy to tell)) we have to always honour the incorrect price.
This price of Amazon's would be the equivalent of a staff member putting an item on the shelf and placing the wrong ticket on it. Which has to be honoured.
Australian consumer law allows retailers the option of honouring the price, or withdrawing the item from sale until the price can be corrected... the decision then comes down to how much damage the wrong price is going to do to the business, verses the negative publicity of not letting people buy the item.
Even though it might be seen as a suitable penalty for a retailer making a mistake, if it is is a significant error (like pricing a $100 item for just $1), it could ruin a business if they had to sell all remaining stock at that wrong price, or could ruin that brand if on the books later it suggests that a particular brand is losing them money and they stop stocking it.
It wont be honoured I had a dragonball Blu ray box set similar price error got cancelled and you have to account for idiots ordering 30 of them, theres a chance to get credit so might as well order it anyway.
For online stores, in the case of a price error, their T&Cs will almost always state that if it occurs the customer will have the option of buying at the corrected price or receiving a refund. Being a pre-order it could be a bit different.
SG Megatron was expected today but it's probably gonna push out.
I had my Unicron Galvatron cancelled with the reason being "We regret to inform you that we have been unable to source the following item:"
Uh oh. I haven't got that e-mail yet, but then I've noticed a pattern - someone mentions Amazon e-mails during the day, and then I get them later that evening.
So just what the hell is going on with Amazon and Hasbro? I'm going to be rather ticked if they cannot supply the Ark...
My Kingdom Pipes pre-order got canned today.
I wonder what the chances are that they are just going through and cancelling orders for the still unannounced products to keep Hasbro happy?

We're awaiting a revised estimate from our supplier, and will email you as soon as we receive this information.
Shame mine arrived on the 6th your order must of been late just before it went out of stock
I pre-ordered so much stuff the other week (all the new wave 2 SS86, Ark etc etc)... you guys are making me wonder how much I'll actually get from them lol. Shame too as it was a great price. :(
I thought oh Amazon, they're reliable! *pre-orders most wanted bots of the year*
Heck, even my regular wave 2 Kingdom Inferno that was supposedly in stock when I ordered it is sitting there doing nothing!
Good Grindor price from Amazon US through AU, $63

Amazon just billed SG Blurr finally
The SG comic comes out next week... I wonder if thats why they sat on Blurr for so long, waiting for the comic release to coincide, unlike the comic less Asia release
God damn it... No comic :-(
I think when people pointed out my error on us getting it, it was agreed that it was only exclusive to Pulse purchases... so not even with every American purchase, unless it is an online store on-selling from the Pulse site.
Wave 3 deluxes, particularly Tracks and Wingfinger, now have a date of 24th/25th August for their Shipped by Amazon US listings
Has anyone here been charged yet of their $233 Ark by Amazon?
Nope, still waiting.
At this point I'm expecting to get their annoying e-mail saying how sorry they are that they can't "source" the item... In which case, the Juqi add-on kit going out of stock (I was waiting to get absolute confirmation that I actually will be getting an Ark before ordering the kit) won't annoy me quite so much.
I have over $600 of outstanding pre-orders that should have been released already by Amazon Australia.
They are still yet to get or ship items originally listed for July and August.
Many of these items have already been released by EB Games, Toyworld and Target, so I don't know why Amazon Australia isn't getting their stock, because Hasbro Australia seems to have it and is still able to send it out during the Sydney lockdown.
I really hope that Hasbro didn't pull their contract with Amazon Australia as punishment over all of those early product listings that we saw on there, and Amazon just hasn't cancelled our orders yet, hoping to still get their account back at Hasbro.
There's no reason why other retailers are getting their stock, but Amazon Australia isn't. (and I don't have the contact there at this time to ask what is going on)
Would Hasbro actually do that, given that they routinely roll over and play dead for the likes of Walmart and US Target, both of whom don't have anywhere near the clout of Amazon?
Highly doubt (though I guess still possible) Hasbro would terminate their dealings with Amazon, who sells many more Hasbro items than just Transformers. Money talks and cutting Amazon just for early product pages is idiotic like cutting the nose off your face. More likely there is some issue with Amazon warehousing, I have seen that Amazon Prime despatch / shipping are slower and more delayed now compared to the past (probably due to the lockdowns). Before, you can get items within 1-2 days if it is Prime shipping, now it can take longer than that just to despatch the item.
I wonder if it's actually the other way around... Maybe it now works out to be cheaper for Amazon AU to be getting their stock from Hasbro US via Amazon US? Amazon AU having tbeir own shipping containers coming from Amazon US by sea could explain the current delays.
I find it impossible to believe as well, as Amazon globally is a huge customer of any business using them... but something unusual is going on, and the less likely options have been ruled out, because the stock is in the country and shipping out to other retailers, and Amazon Australia is still selling and shipping older Transformers toys. Something is stopping Amazon Australia from getting Transformers toys since late June... pushing back release dates and even cancelling orders.
I remember that when Amazon Australia first started here, they had products shipped from America just to be able to launch with a back-catalogue of products.
The "Hasbro Store" page is a relatively new thing, since late last year I think... so if Amazon Australia were doing it as a trial only, maybe the trial period is over, and they decided they weren't making enough sales (or stuck with too many over-priced import items).
Got charged for Kingdom Scorponok today, first thing I haven't cancelled recently (since it came to ebgames but was presold out).
Was it AU stock or US stock?
A couple of people just got the SG Blurr from Amazon, and it looks like it was AU stock... the first new stock since late June. So could this be the first trickle before the flood of catching up on all the toys that they are currently late with?
At least I hope so, as I hate having to keep several hundred dollars in an account that I prefer to keep low in case someone fraudulently uses it for purchases (which would be rejected if there is no money there for them to use).
