Could anyone who owns a G1 Fortress Maximus Photon Rifle please weigh it for me - I just received one in the mail and the plastic has an almost 'brittle' quality to it and I'm slightly skeptical about its authenticity. Mine weighs in at 33 grams. Thanks.
The gun is actually pretty hollow for it's size with a fairly thin plastic layer for each half (It should split in two once screws are removed). Therefore it is indeed very light in weight for it's size but I wouldn't say that it's brittle.
Unfortunately I don't have a scale accurate enough to weigh it as its too light.
You know, I was thinking about a thread for this but this will probably do.
I currently have all retail available Power Core Combiners. I know a lot of people seem to have an issue with these figures, however I have found them to be some of the best toys I own.
I can easily rank these figures in terms of my favourites, in terms of their torso forms, alt forms, and individual robot modes.
1. Leadfoot
2. Icepick
3. Sledge
4. Smolder
5. Huffer
6. Searchlight
7. Bombshock
8. Mudslinger
9. Double Clutch
10. Skyburst
Overall, I have a theory. Is it possible the much worse 5 pack commander figures became first choice for the 5 packs so they could actually move product? I'm sure this sounds crazy, but I feel the Rallybots suit Leadfoot more than Double Clutch, the Aerialbots suit Searchlight more than Skyburst, and even Smolder looks better with the Destructicons than Mudslinger. Thoughts?
Moreso they were aware of the quality of the figures (have a go of Leadfoot, he's a great figure), and that the advent of online reviews would result in poor sales of the 2-packs and to be completely honest, I wouldn't buy the 5 pack commanders without the drones. So, in order to move the less well designed toys, they pack them with the main gimmick - the drones.
