I'm hearing that the consumer model is about US$600.

The Australian price is $649, plus rather expensive shipping and oh that's USD even tho it's the Australian price. Because they are not charging up front (I have 'til June to save for it) if the Aussie dollar takes a dump it will go up in price. Currently it's sitting between $1100 and $1200 AUD including shipping.
i'm currently going through kotor2 again, but this is the first time for me with the restored content mod.
i also want a PS4 for when the next uncharted comes out but that might have to wait till i get a job lol. looking forward to the new tomb raider on pc as well.
regarding occulus, i saw some outrage that postage is something like $130 for aussies, even though it is coming from a sydney warehouse and not overseas!
If it does ship from Sydney I'll be pissed based on price. They will probably do the same thing that Apple does for product launches if they do send it from Sydney. Allocate them in China, fly them all over from China on a specially charted cargo jet and then separate them out for the local courier service to deliver over night.
But since Apple doesn't charge for shipping in Australia I have no idea how much that method really cost.

As Gutsman said, development time was not really ideal and the game was released with bugs and lots of stuff missing. At the time the guys thought it would be too dangerous to remove everything from the code etc that couldn't make it in so there was actually a LOT of stuff unused still left on the game discs. An example is the HK-50 droid factory in the military base on Telos. Over the years various modders tried put it all back together and complete things. One group called Team Gizka was the first I heard of but they sort of fell apart. Another group worked on something separate and pretty much finished it. So yeah if you have the game on Steam there were a couple of big updates out of the blue that added workshop support, widescreen, this mod and others.
Pokemon fans a legendary event is starting this week, get a Hoopa at EB, JB or Big W
Question for the Disney Infinity fans, the playing pieces (not sure their proper name) are just statues right? Apart from some special ones (like Luke Skywalker with a light up sabre) they don't do anything else? No head or arm or articulation?
I like the look of the TFA Poe one but can't really justify spending money on it when I don't have the game and it's non articulated. :o
Not a single iota of articulation.
