Your ideal TF Series?

It would also delve a lot further into Cybertronian lore with a heavy focus on stuff like Primus/Unicron, The Fallen, Vector Prime, other Cybertronian factions etc. I would even think about bringing a third force into play to upset the balance of power and provide something new, perhaps simliar to the Ancient Cybertronians faction in the G2 comics. Maybe some sort of "Communist" type Transformers faction if that makes sense, would be a nice middle point between the Bots and Cons.

I know it all sounds pretty far fetched (Hasbro give the greenlight to a show not about kids, yeah right!) but hey a fella can dream can't he?

You know you pretty much just described Beast Wars right there. :)

Hence why I believe Beast Wars was the best written story ever written for a Transformers TV series to date. Some Transformers stayed dead, but others came back - but that was mostly at Hasbro's behest because they needed to plug new toys. But considering the constraints Hasbro placed on them, I think DiTillio and Forward did an absolutely amazing job writing Beast Wars. The only TF story better than Beast Wars would be the Marvel G1 comics (IMHO).

Having a series based on current toys can be good and bad. The good part is that you would get greater support and funding from Hasbro since they would see it as an investment in marketing their toys. Also it's just a big thrill for fans to see their toys appear in a comic book or show (or movie). But the downside is that sometimes characters need to be removed or inserted at Hasbro's behest, even if the writer(s) may not believe it's in the best interest of the story. One classic example of this was when Powermaster Optimus Prime was killed -- only 5 issues later Prime was resurrected as Action Master Optimus Prime because Hasbro said so... I think Furman's reaction was something like "But I just killed him!" :p

Imagine a Transformers Classicsverse animated series with the same story writing and animation quality as G.I. Joe Resolute.

For as long as I've been here on the forums I've heard heaps of praise for BW, but while growing up in the BW era I just never got into the show because of the CGI quality. I know it's shallow, but it was either watch that or play on the PS with games like Driver lol

Maybe I should buy BW...

I'd like to see a continuation of Animated rather then the quick ending there was. Or picking up where it finished. I'd also like to see a prologue to the series surrounding events of the break out of the great war and how the Decepticons were dirven off Cybertron.

Megatron could be rescued from where ever he ended up and rebuilt as Galvatron, Blackarachnia and Waspinator could return or their story in the past could be told; the possibilities are endless.
And Hasbro can market it.

You mean the Emmy Award winning CGI. ;)
it may seem dated by todays standards but at the time it was pretty good. Arguably better than the animation in TF Prime when compared to current standards.

And a good story is more important anyway. Revenge of the Fallen has awesome visual effects yet a lot of people are critical of it's story. BW may have outdated visuals but people still love it for its superior story telling :)

I highly recommend it :)
Another great thing about BW is that it enhances G1 & G2 if you're a fan of those series. But you don't have to be.

@Skywarp91: Buy them man, see the show that saved a franchise. ;)
I can't say much else as I'd just be repeating what Goki has already said about Beast Wars. :)
