Hot Toys - Transformers, Optimus Prime (Starscream Edition)

Yeah, sorta. As I understand it, it depends on who you have an association with. From Hasbro/Takara's point of view: Hot Toys are a second party. Us consumers are also a second party. Unlicensed manufacturers are a third party as there is no direct association.

To us consumers, we are the first party and Hasbro/Takara and unlicensed manufacturers are both second parties.

I think that's right. :o

What I've been lead to believe:

• 1st Party: Hasbro/Takara
• 2nd Party: Consumer - Be it product or license.
• 3rd Party: Products produced irregardless of license possession.

Well it makes about as much sense as Evangelion MP Prime. I'd kinda see him geared up with both the Starscream and Megatron bitz.

I guess they pushed Prime too far, and he went all Rambo on the Cons.

they could make this out of die cast parts like they did with certain ironman and robocop

but... isnt a masterpiece convoy so much better than this?

I kinda like it but then again I do like the rather strange TF merchandise. It's a nice looking G1 Prime and the cannibalistic SS parts are interesting to say the least but I definitely don't like it for USD345!
