Damn. I thought I'd missed something.

Dont forget this thought:
So I live in hope.Quote:
In an interview that is printed in Toyfare #138 (February 2009 issue), Hasbro's Transformers Universe designer Bill Rawley talks about the future of the Universe line. He states that the Universe line, which is going on hiatus next year for the movie line, may return in some incarnation following Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen but is dependent on several factors. If Universe does return, Bill states that two character on top of his wish list are Generation One Soundwave and Beast Wars Rhinox. The article goes on to state that Rhinox is invisioned as being at least a Voyager-sized figure. While the article provides no confirmation that Universe will return after the movie line nor confirmation of Soundwave or Rhinox being produced, having these two figures on the designer's wish list provides hope that these two characters will receive updated figures.
Not that I own the Universe Cheetor or Dinobot anyway, but if Rhinox was produced and it was top notch, I'd have to seriously consider tracking them down. Probably the Henkei version though.
The new Cheetor mold is pretty mediocre in a BM/TM2 kind of way. However the new Dinobot mold is pretty decent if you get the Henkei version as that has superior show accurate colors and a nice chromed sword.
Yeh, I saw some comparison pics somewhere, looked much nicer. Plus the whole BW 10th Ann. debacle with colours left me much admiring the Japanese versions of figures.
On a slightly different note, people have mentioned their keeness for Beasts to play a part future stories. Makes me wonder why Hasbro haven't produced a newer version of the G1 Predacons and Predaking. They've done nearly everything else.
One of the things I've had in my head ever since Beast Wars began was an idea where the Maximals/Autobots fought against the Predacons/Decepticons.
It was a lot like what we're about to see with the Power Core Combiners, but would have had the Beast characters as partners instead of Mini-Cons. A "G1" character was partnered with a "Beast" Character with the Beast Wars guys sacrificing their weapons/body parts to act as power-ups and armour for the G1 guys.
Advancing that idea though, you could have the four factions set up as four individual parties. The Autobots and the Maximals fight for good, but disagreeing about the methods used to defeat their enemies. The Decepticons and Predacons could fight for conquest and destruction, splitting into factions because of individual power-lusts.
The Decepticons would eventually overpower the Predacons, refusing to acknowledge the pretenders to the throne, and force them into sub-servience, defeating both Autobots and Maximals quite easily with their new power. Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal reconcile their differences and combine to form Primal Prime, and the unified Autobots/Maximals fight against the powered-up Decepticons.
Then further G1 fan-wanks could ensue by having Primal Prime need to find the sword of Star Sabre and the Magnus Hammer in order to defeat the combined form of both Megatrons (aka Galvtron/Gammatron)...
Okay, so I got a little ahead of myself. But the initial idea was always kinda cool to me.
cool, i now live in hope too for both a clasics rhinox and a clasics soundwave or generations rhinox and soundwave or whatever the line will be called when they come out
that's certainly an interesting idea seraphim prime, when i imagine a series using all 4 sides i picture something along the lines of RID with maybe starting out as autobots v decepticons then having damaged stasis pods or decepticon mad scientists cause the existance of maximals and predacons who would then either ally themselves with their proper sides or become 2 new sides for this warQuote:
