The extending into Prime would be done. He would just be Rodimus for his initial release, and then released with the trailer at a later date to extract more money from the mould
I hate the fact that this is a possibility and is the only reason I don't have MP Ultra Magnus yet. To think that I could buy Hot Rod and have them come out with a Hot Rod/trailer package afterward annoys me. Now I'm not sure whether or not i should buy Hot Rod upon release and risk them coming out with a package after and having to pay for yet another of the same mould (just as they did with OP) or wait to see if they do come out with a trailer package, only to find that they actually won't and run the risk of having to pay for inflated prices of Hot Rod just coz I didn't get him earlier.
*sigh*
I doubt it. It was simply a joke.
They have done it once simply because there was a high demand for it.
To build in extending arms and legs to turn him into Rodimus Prime would be a bad move because it looks like they are going to do a MP04 on it. People would pass it up because of that
It also sounds like a engineering nightmare that would drive the price up to high.
It really isn't something you should worry you enough to put off this toy. The same goes for Ultra Magnus. There isn't going to be a trailer for him
I just hope this will be in scale with the MP Seekers and not Prime/Megs
I wish fans weren't so divided over the height issues. There are those like yourself who prefer the Seeker size, and the rest like me who like the Prime/Megs height. Makes it harder for TakTom to please everybody. :p
Anywho, as I said in the MP-M01 thread, I'm remaining skeptical until an official announcement is made. For all we know this could be some grand marketing scheme hatched by TakTom.
Well if they don't give me the scale I want then I am sure iGear will :)
