Thanks mate, but I just saw your pics of RTS Jazz in the review thread.... puts mine to shame :o

Man, VP you are making Awesome progress dude and I knew that post in the other thread was but a taste! - Well done!:D
IMO, purely based on where their Mold design stems from, I reckon these particular Turtles would look far better suited to a Black Background with possibly the use of a faded colour filter or technique of some kind. :)
I reckon if you can achieve that somehow, I reckon you'd easily capture the mood that these guys exude. ;)
These Guys more or less Have to be on a Black Background, that is all that they need IMO. :)Quote:

SCORPION AND SUBZERO
The white background suits these guys perfectly dude and I love the positioning you've given each member of each group with the scale of Power and Importance extremely clear and evident - That is an excellent and very noteworthy detail dude. ;):cool:Quote:

MIGHTY MUGGZ DECEPTICONS

MIGHTY MUGGZ AUTOBOTS
I saw this figure at your place dude and I've always felt that it reminds me of Alpha-5 from MM Power Rangers. :pQuote:

SHAIDER
With the high use of Reflective, Metallic and Chrome paint apps on this guy Deceptic, I reckon a Black Background would be better suited but with the use of well positioned lights to get some nice reflections going off of him. ;)
These guys just look incredible in both Stills and Motion photography! :DQuote:
*snip*
MASK RIDER BLACK
I feel that with his Matte Black finish, he works rather well on a White Background but I also think he'd work just as well on a Black Background which speaks volumes of these Kamen Rider figure's versatility.
Ah, see where this shot bucks the method of the Mighty Muggs, this shot is great too but my only critique would be Arcee's position as her Back Pack Wings are doing exactly what Scourge did in my photo in that the White is coming across as washed out against the background. :oQuote:
*snip*
TF ANIMATED AUTOBOTS
I reckon if you can switch her place with Bumblebee maybe, it might help to alleviate that issue - Interestingly though, Ratchet doesn't suffer the same problem due to the shadows he's casting upon himself.:cool:
This shot is just great, purely great - The only thing it could benefit from is a Background scene of Scrap Metal. :p:DQuote:
*snip*
DECEPTICVERSE'S CURRENT WRECKERS CREW
I know what you mean by this figure's Epic Size and because of that, it would be an absolute effort to get a proper shot of him, of which you have absolutely accomplished dude!:cool:Quote:
*snip*
19"inches GALACTUS - it was so hard to take a photo of this mammoth size figure but manage to take a picture in whole
I think this guy could also benefit from a Black but Star-y Background (Something akin to a Hubble Telescope Photograph ;)) with well positioned lights to show off his stunning Metallic paint apps. :D:cool:
These shots are just awesome man, Black or White - It doesn't matter as the Angles and Lighting are perfect on each, though I must say I favour the second shot of Kup IMO. :eek:Quote:

UNITED/GENERATIONS PERCEPTOR modified right optics similar to LSOW

same shots but with different lighting positions and angle
All in all dude, you continue to prove in my mind that you're an excellent photographer and these shots, like all of yours, prove that you've a keen eye for detail. ;)
Dude, as Deceptic says - Don't be discouraged dude as whilst I consider Deceptic to be one of the best photographers that I've seen here on the boards, closely followed by Heroic, You are easily screaming towards them man (Probably something to do with that sexy-ass car of yours :p). ;)
I don't get put off by you guys, I use you all as inspiration to try and better my own shots because whilst I know I'll never be a World Class photographer, nor do I intend to be, I'd like to try and convey certain things in my shots that I see in my Mind's Eye and every little piece of advice helps. :)
Keep up your efforts VP, those shots of 'Meister' and DOTM Shockwave are friggin' awesome man and are highly indicative of your efforts and progressing skills.
point taken, thanks man. yeah i know but this shots where just test i guess i wasn't really happy with most of them and they're a bit rushed i really like the black bacground with my shots
same thoughts:cool:
now i really like this shots might try taking photos outdoors next time, for different effects.
Hahaha funny you said that this was actually from a 90's japanese series similar to mask rider black back in the 90's, aw man love this pick as it gives back memories of my childhood. I think i have done one of this in black background not sure if i posted it here though
love this one too
i rushed this one...heheh isnt it obvious
or pile of a scrapped Decepticon army
i definitely want to try new backgrounds, its just so hard to create em nowdays since i dont print stuff anymore. :(
likewise second shot of kup but a it more faded background
thanks for the kind words hope to see more photos from you and Vector Prime and the rest of the members. keep the photos coming! I love different way speople take their photos

Dude, with that new Turtles shot a certain song came to my head that is performed by the group: Lonely Island and references, amongst many things, going to the movies alone. :p
Seriously man, that shot is awesome, great angle, great lighting, great contrasting background and great subject matter!:cool:
The same goes for Deadpool and Spidey, but are the 2 Hulk pics old? - I ask because they seem slightly out of focus in certain areas where I think you might of been trying to highlight other areas? - Not a critique or judgement, just curiosity. :)
I remember the last 2 shots and honestly, I absolutely love that shot of Blastoff/Explorer approaching BB from behind whilst he deals with Bruticus/Colossos! :D:cool:
Also, please don't think I was judging or critiquing your previous shots dude, I only intended to give my opinion and suggestions. :D
I'd like to see you continue to experiment with more backgrounds dude as I think it'll only be of benefit and honestly, I would never of picked any of those shots to be rushed man - If you did?, you fooled me well. :p
I guess that's why they call you Deceptic Optic. ;):D
hahaha nah man your all good its good feedback actually, and i did say in the beginning of my post that i wasnt really happy with some of the shots but content and some i did rush, *got over excited cos its actually my first time taking new pics and not entirely using transformers as my subjects*. I always try to strive for perfection its kidna bad habit but hey always love the result. As for the hulks i intended to "blurr" out some area and highlight the rest which again your correct, im amaze for your eye on detail my friend. really apprciate the comments
Great pics, Optics! Just whoa, on the BB one.
Took these whilst taking the other shots of my acquisitions today, so figured I might post them here:

Man great photos guys.......love to do that with some of the things I have but I dont have a camera apart from the one on the phone at the moment.
I suppose the only real photos I have taken apart from the point and click are these two.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...1052009726.jpg
For some unknown reason I wanted to take a photo of these small flowers growing out of the rock wall at Stirling Castle in Scotland. Such beautiful colour coming out of something cold and dreary and plus one overlooking the cemetery high up.
Those were taken with my Nokia N96.....just sit, point and click.
Awesome pics Hursty!
I especially love the Primus one since I've just finished watching the entire Cybertron/Galaxy Force series on DVD and he's totally bad ass - you've done him justice! :p
They're not bad for something that was taken with a phone's camera Valks!
IIRC, the N96 features a Carl Zeiss lens - which means nothing to me, but someone once told me that they're one of the paramount manufacturers of lens and optics (so that may have something to do with it) :D
sorry guys a bit rushed on this one didnt get to clean the dust build ups :(

@Deceptic_Optic - no comment, just
those little guys pose remarkably well, and Nice photos.
I really dig the flowers in the parapet.
Valk, those shots are damn nice for a camera phone dude, the flowers are indeed nice but for me - I like what's in the background most as I love graveyards and especially old ones as the headstone's of those passed can often tell quite a story and impart quite a bit of history. ;):)
I hope we get to see some more shots from you in the future dude.
Cheers dude :D,
I've never seen them myself as I just couldn't get into the series but I am a fan of big robots and especially ones that attempt the destruction of the Chaos Bringer! :D
Again, rushed? - where? ;)
Seriously man, those are the best pics I've seen of those guys yet and they do an excellent job of selling their poseability, personality and complete awesomeness perfectly! :D
Once again, incredible shots dude and I now cannot wait to get my own set of Not-Reflector!
Wasn't too keen on this guy until I picked him up on clearance for $7 - he's actually pretty cool. :)
http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/P5050007.jpg
Man VP! - That shot makes that little guy look SO cool!:D
I've finally gotten around to taking a new shot of my entire Soundwave Collection! :D:D:D
LOL, theres some good stuff here. Here are some shots of my new fave toy Scareglow which I think were the best.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_T.../IMG_58583.jpg
I have also discovered how tricky it can be getting the glow effect to look good in a photo. He has conquered Black Rock Shooter!
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_T...885%5B3%5D.jpg
I quite like the new deluxe mold of Starscream from the DOTM line (even with his honking big MechTech weapon and all) :
http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/P5160004.jpg
http://i954.photobucket.com/albums/a...9/P5160009.jpg
Those are some great shots man as that figure/character is really cool IMO and I reckon it would be a fun challenge getting him to show his awesome glow gimmick on camera - Well done dude. :D:cool:
Ooh... Those are some nice shots man, Starscream really stands out against that wood panelling - Interesting that he's retained his Tats.
(I'm really not liking those MechTech weapons, I dunno why but they just really irk me :o)
I really like that 2nd shot too, it's a great profile shot man - just the slightest bit of over-exposure causing the lit-up areas to 'flare' if you know what I mean, it's something I'm trying to work out of my own shots so if I can figure out how to avoid it I'll let you know. ;):)
Cheers man. :D Scareglow is a challenge. I can do a good shot of just him glowing, but if (like in the second photo) you want someone else in there it's hard to have lots of glow and still be able to see the other character. Even went to the effort of 'light painting' BRS, but the light was too strong, no matter what I tried. I just had an idea now actually... Hmmmmmm.
The flare is an age old issue. Maybe a diffuser of some sort over the harsher light source. I have found putting just a piece of blank paper over a light source (such as a torch) manages to provide enough light without the intensity ruining the shot.
Some Megatron fun:
http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showpo...1&postcount=45
What type of cameras/lenses are you guys using? I'm finding that my cheap ass camera is crap and no matter what I do... i need a better one
Yep, the right lighting, proper focus and minimal handling of the camera is all one really needs. ;)
Great shot VP, it took me about 20secs to realise that the giant grey bit in the top right hand corner of the photo was his bloody MechTech weapon and not his fist :p, it's an excellent shot as he is an interesting figure - Especially with how his rotor blades fold around him to make a 4-point harness/bandolier.
I use a canon A640. Picked it up in Japan and I don't think it has ever been released here. It is sexier than a point and click, but not as complex as an SLR. Cheaper too! Lots of manual setting options, which I find I must have now. Can't stand cameras that have auto-everything!:D
Well, wasn't able to get the light that I wanted but I figured; Stuff It! :D
Here are some shot I took of my recently acquired Soul of Chogokin: Tekkaman Blade with Pegas:

Brilliant, simply brilliant!
