Predaking is the biggest G1 combiner so I welcome a Hercules scale.

I have it on good authority that the end-resulting MMC Predaking will be extremely comparable to that of TFC's Hercules, with the intention of scaling to the established Fansproject/Maketoys gestalts. ;)
(The reasoning being that Predaking was & is the largest combiner of the lot and should reflect that fact :))
Well in the toys and toon anyway.
I don't mind either way how big he is as let's not forget the Marvel comic depicted him as pretty standard size (or smaller) for a combiner, the UK comic even went as far as to award Devestator the title of tallest combiner. So it's all variable.
The size of Gestalts has always interested me. Example, if the Predacons are proper animal size, then surely Predaking would be the smallest combiner? Superion would be the biggest (5 jets). the only real unknown sizes would be the Terrorcons and Monstructor. Maybe the Seacons as well?
Thats of course ignoring mass shifting...:p
You have to ignore quite a bit for the 'realism' theory to work re. G1 combiner sizes. Defensor has a patrol car and a patrol bike as legs of roughly equal size, and arms made from a helicopter and an ambulance which are both also of equal size. Bruticus has tank and jeep legs the same size, and helicopter and space shuttle arms the same size. And they're all roughly the same size as each other.
AFAIK the Predacons are usually depicted as Transformer-scaled animals, kind of like the Dinobots are way larger than their real-life equivalent counterparts were.
I guess that makes Superion, Menasor and Devestator the most realisitc combiners. :D
Just to add to the confusion they are not exceptionally large robots (Razorclaw and co were depicted as the same size as Brawl and the other combiners) yet they turn into a larger combined robot in the toon.
But then I guess the rules of Transformer size are that a Transformer can be any size they want to be if the story demands it. ;)
Personally I don't see any reason Predaking needs to be the biggest with these new toys, as long as he is a size that looks good with some of his comrades that will be enough.
Given how volatile scale is in Transformers, I think it really comes down to individual preference. To me Predaking should be bigger due to the 'Feral' animal theme which is also influenced by the G1 toy size.

As per the link above, Pre-orders with 15% discount opening at BBTS and TFsource for Feral Rex Bovis (MMC's Tantrum) but only for this week!

Very good of them to announce the planned price reduction for future releases, hope that helps whoever is still deciding between MMC and UT. Guess we'll have to set aside (after discounts, before shipping) $450+ for the classic team of 5 Predacons, or easily $500+ including the new member?

I have already pre-ordered Talon. This looks really good, very excited.
Yep, that final gestalt render convinced me to sign-up with BBTS, enable POL & whack both figures on Preorder! :D:cool:
Sold!
Looking good, love that the bird mode has some articulation.

Definitely a winner. Glad I went with MMC.
OMG that looks so awesome! I was already thinking the MMC version of the Predacons would be one to look forward to but seeing Talon in colour definitely gives it that wow factor for me.
Dudes! - Due to the falling out between MMC & RobotKingdom, said retailer is selling their remaining MMC stock at 50% off!:eek::eek:
Head here to grab yourself either a Screecher or Stormer for $43!
According to their Facebook page, Robot Kingdom have decided not to continue carrying MMC figures and are selling off their remaining stock of the KM seekers at 50% off. Looks like a good price if anyone was thinking of getting them. :)

I wasn't really interested in MMCs KMs but at those prices I might be persuaded to get a Screecher...
Screecher's gone, and only 54 Stormer's left.
Does RK have particularly aggro supply chain management people or what? With planned releases coming and the proven steady increase of 3P stuff cutting into the collector market, peeving off the bigger players cannot in any way appear to be a good business decision to me. I've certainly turned all my purchases towards BBTS as most of those made in last 6 months has been 3P stuff (however am still awaiting for the second release of Munitioner/Explorer before shipping my first loot , still awaiting redemption from one scarring experience with my Unreleased Target Exclusive Gunbarrel/Reverb/Backtrack where Reverb was found to be lost from my loot at the time I decided to ship), with very few official stuff riding on combined shipping.
damn all the starscreams are gone. ordered thundercracker.
2 Screechers are currently available.

All gone. :(
Didn't want one anyway...;):p
Product Code : TFMMC05
Availability : Out of Stock
Price : US$ 4,245.00 / pcs
Now that's what I call inflation!
It's $42.45, IIRC?
lol trust me, look again :D
Bovis looks good.
Digibash comparison from Zambot at TFW:

Although I think the MMC coloring of Bovis looks really good, they are colors more suitable to Headstrong than Tantrum. To me the top digibash looks better and also seems more character suitable.
From MMC Facebook page:
"The orange is affected by the lighting in the render, final product will follow G1"
"oops did I say G1?"

I dont see the appeal. Anyway, each to their own.
No.
If this didn't elicit a response from Hasbro, nothing will.
