There is also the option of Sunstreaker- not a repaint, but the use of mechanics.
Wheeljack & Sunstreaker's G1 toy transformations are quite similar.

If this happened I would be very disappointed, I would want a completely new mold for Sunstreaker, not even a heavily re-tooled Wheeljack mold will do

Besides Sunstreaker's mold can be repainted a number of times, Red, Black, White so Takara can make some money of these repaints.

I'm still hoping for Clapdown from the Lambor mold :D

It's not what they transform into, but how they transform, was what i was alluding to.

It amazes me the amount of discussion & hype a single ordinary silhouette can generate on other sites. What I see & can make out from the silhouette are 2 legs, 2 arms, a body, a shoulder missile launcher and his characteristic shoulder protrusions. I'll wait for actual photos that shows greater detailing & colour scheme before I start going super nova like every one else. :p

Im buying MP Tigertrack because he looks exactly like Sunstreaker. I don't want to hear that theyre making another Lambo in yellow and calling HIM Sunstreaker... wont be happy!

There is a very good chance that we will get a new mold for Sunstreaker...

But don't be unhappy Tigertrack is an awesome figure on its own :D

Damn, that is disappointing. I have managed to collect all the G1 transformers (1984 and 85) I was missing new as reissues except for Wheeljack, Sunstreaker, Mirage, 3 minibots and the dinobots. Sad that ill never be able to collect them all :(

But sunstreaker has a totally different transformation and robot mode... The car bonnet are his legs... not the chest like tigertrack

The alt mode? Not exactly the same. Sunstreaker has his custom engine exposed with a different rear spoiler, even though Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are both LP500S Lamborghinis.

Sorry dude he looks nothing like Sunstreaker. The alt modes are both Lambos yes but Sunstreaker has an exposed engine. Robots modes are completely different with he bonnet making up Sunstreaker's feet (chest on Tigertrack), roof/windows making up his chest (back on TT) and the heads are completely different.

The only thing they have in common are they are both Yellow.

I am going to say Hound, mirage or Tracks. Jazz would be the hardest to get licensing it seems.

I'm pretty sure that they have the Porsche licence because they have the Volkswagen licence.

Not necessarily. Porsche is part of the Volkswagen family & if Bumblebee has been given the green light, i suspect getting the licence for Jazz won't be as difficult as we imagine.

If they have the VW licence them the chances of them getting a Porche licence are greatly improved. However the decision of whether to lease the licence is entirely up to Porche and will be made independently of what VW does.

They are claiming that it won't be released until August. That's a long wait, as G2 Sideswipe is in February and Soundblaster is in March... maybe the 5 month block is to allow for Movie toys to take up their marketing focus.
Or maybe TakaraTomy thinks that the fans will prefer movie toys and won't have any money for MP toys. :p

As for Jazz, I think that will hold back for a while, I would have think Hound would be in their to do list.
