Apparently the second run (seriously, like a few weeks after launch?) is improved, with some new paint decos, etc.
There's some feedback to KFC in the TFW2005 thread.
Personally, I'm happy with mine (possibly because, although a cheaper-feeling purchase, it arrived with the QC quandary that Cubex made), but considering KFC's emails to vendors are a bit different in tone to their Facebook page comment to the public, I'm happy to officially say #fuckKFC
I've got what I have ordered on the way (a couple of Batbat versions from Ace's Toy Store), and could only possibly be tempted by the upcoming DAI Citizen Stack, because I don't like the chances are of Takara making a Diaclone/86 promo reel Magnus.
Unfortunately, much like Cubex, KFC has hit my list of 3rd party to avoid. FT, Toyworld and Planet X have spoiled me in that regard.
Yer, I thought about it but yer, his truck is a hollow shell and I've heard mixed reports about the quality of their products we'll just have to see I guess... But as for me personally, official will always come first. I can't wait to see the painted taktom Um... We haven't even seen bumblebee's yet!
I watched a few reviews of this guy, and it has me wondering if these reviewers are on someone's payroll
I've been foliowing the boards on TFW about KFC Magnus and QC has emerged as an issue. Apparently there are fixes for the V2 of the toy but many are feeling pretty shafted with the release being so recent still.
KFC do nice looking stuff but if it doesn't hold together well, I can't play
Lol I can't say that I was aiming to be 'cool, or hip' I'd say just lazy. Thanks for the lesson but.
It's in the Oxford Dictionary. Gok could explain it better if he ever came in the 3rd party forum. While it is informal, it is a recognised English word.
Would you say "yeah" in a conversation with your manager? Or your manager's manager? A client? Or even the CEO of your company? I would and do on a regular basis. "Yeah" is an accepted word.
Have a business meeting with your manager or a client and replace yes or yeah with "yer". They will enquire as to if you are drunk. Seriously it sounds like you should be saying "hur hur" after it. It's not a word.
And with this conversation I have finally crossed over into cranky old man territory. :(
And to Tfiguy, this rant is nothing against you and not normally how I carry on here. My redneck cousin uses that group of letters (I refuse to acknowledge it as a word) on Facebook all the time and I now associate it with stupidity, ignorance and rednecks. So I do apologise if I put you off.
Can we just talk about transformers guys?
On the upside, it is kind of an appropriate topic for an Ultra Magnus-themed thread.:D Significance of semicolons and all that.

Was really liking this figure till I watched peaughs review. It just looks so tacky plastic. Looks like something I'd pick up from a weekend market :\
I wonder if Toyworld would ever release theirs? If you go on their website you can see the out line of an upcoming one that looks a lot like magnus.
I think its a great figure - could do with a little more paint/stickers to break up the plastic bits (looks like reprolables is aleady on to that) but still displays really nice none the less.
I wouldn't consider it a 'play-with' kind of figure though, doesn't feel very heavy duty, though I couldn't see the plastic or joint quality to be any sort of an issue unless you plan to transform it on a daily basis for some reason.
If anyone is still wanting one of these please go to my EOI thread: http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showth...465#post445465
