Crankcase and I got the last 2 at Penrith
The guy on duty was great, he went and pulled the last box off the crate
Called Doncaster and chadstone, nothing at either. Went into Knox and was told the same story, in transit eta 1-2 weeks. :(
Good to see our guys being able to grab SW. Hopefully our interstate members will have just as much luck :)
If a staff member is having difficulties locating one, you can always check with the SKN 441600.
Would really appreciate someone putting one on hold in the greater Melbourne region once they've spotted it :)
Oh no! Just got confirmation that I will be on business travel to regional Victoria for the next 2 weeks. Talk about bad timing. :(
For Victorian forumers, I would truly appreciate it if someone can secure one MP SW for me if it happens to be available while I'm far away from a TRU store. Thanks.

Meh! All this excitement for Soundwave pfffttttt:p. I only want the A-Train such a pretty GREEN:D. Just bit the bullet and bought one off ebay for $140 aus shipped, Not trusting any TRU's in Perth to have any sort of supply and this was the cheapest by a long shot:rolleyes:. I'd never beat the mad rush from collectors and scalpers alike so this was the safe option for me;)
i really want a soundwave , but life is just too short worrying about an item that will make you anxious and excited. really, happiness cannot be traveled to, or earned. It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace & gratitude. So if i cant get a soundwave, hey least i still got other robots in my closet :)

Why doesn't TRU Oz follow TRU USA and limit 1 per customer? All it takes is for one Scalper to clean out an entire store of its very limited stock.
It's definitely going to be harder to get hands on one from non-NSW stores given the word is out there.

just rang Knox, was told 1-2 weeks, but after mentioning that I had heard they will be in on Monday she was like "oh yeah well if they get the delivery unpacked in time then probably Monday" LOL.
So after asking if I can get one held she took my name and number and added it to the "customer logbook" and told me they will ring when it arrives. Just hoping that this means one is on hold for me as she didn't specifically say! :confused:
Reserved one, mate reserved 2 which was lucky coz the box was edge crushed & no available replacement. All reserved. Another guy who wanted 2 but reserved one bought the extra crushed one. His lucky day.

I agree. If there isn't any proof, you can't accuse someone of being a scalper... especially if this item has been available internationally for a couple months now.

Picked up a carton of two from Parramatta this morning. The carton had 2 staples half punched into it which scratched one of the boxes. The other one was for my mate who's stopped collecting since Beast Wars, but has probably been lusting after a Soundwave since he was 7. Delivered it to him straight away. The look on his face was priceless :)
Could be a TRU staff member scalping. A few pages back a board member reported that eBay auction very close to the first sighting, and there's also another mention of TRU staff members holding it for themselves. I guess their cost would also be slightly less due to a TRU staff discount?Quote:

I thi a password facility for these types of theads could be a handy idea... Only members and genuine collectors allowed. That would at least slow the scalpers down so the real collectors could get ahead of the game...
