Should arrive at our doors soon. :D
BTW, TFI are/were looking for a web developer, thought you might be interested... They do rather need a good one.

It could definitely use some work but yeah shopping carts aren't really my thing. Too much hassle from their unique requirements (that aren't usually clear until you've finished making it!).
It's no surprise it's bad, cause a good site should be a hefty investment and he's probably been burned by someone not charging enough... and not really knowing what they're doing. Since that's most people in the web industry... including me when it comes to shopping carts :D
Yeah the site is made in word press and all the features are plug-ins, it's not ideal at all, the thing I dont like the most is not having a user account to be able to view like all current orders and which are paid for all at once etc (unless I'm missing something). I've dabbled in php a lot over the years, but honestly I'm a lot more comfortable with ASP/VB... Unfortunately I've been out of the game since .net was gaining momentum, and have never had anything to do with encryption/payments etc. I made a prototype of an online store for a mum'n'pop computer store, and a mock up of a custom web based forum using xml as storage method instead of a database (cheaper hosting maybe, or not having to pay sql license), and was so glad when I was given the forum project, which I wrote from scratch for RMCH, but our company went belly up before it went live
Tld;dr Tfi is lacking features and needs an update, but I' not game to put my hand up, though I'm sure I could take a fair wack at it and give it most of the features and a good look/layout...
Edit: also i'm crossing all my fingers that I'm in the first batch of apollyon, however from the price I paid I don't think I will be, and if i'm not then i'll just gear up for an amazing June with UW superion, CW defensor, apollyon, sever, tesla, and hopefully spinout and brawny!
Looking at the tracking he posted, NSW -> QLD ... now the anticipation of waiting for tracking and watch it to come back to NSW lol
Just got the X-Transbots Apollyon yesterday and fiddled with it:
Only issues are:
1. Yes the right arm won't hold outwards with gun attached BUT he will hold the gun up with NO problems (stock shoulders no replacement)
2. One of the hand's thumb keep popping off (KFC hands are notorious for this)
3. After collapsing the torso it's very very difficult to pull him back up again
4. One of the arm's elbows can get a little stuck in the arm cavity
5. the left leg wont tab back in as securely as in the beginning after pulling it out (EDIT: nevermind - you need to tab all THREE pegs in - the last peg in the middle is very fiddly as that peg doesn't hold up at all - a design fault definitely)
6. It can be hard to pull the legs back out when transforming back to bot mode.
I think that's it - the arm problem I fixed with nail polish and attempted to do the same with left leg as well.
No breakages to speak of, no scratches to speak of and I think a lot of breakage might be due to incorrectly attempting to transform him - as it is quite complicated. However I think he's far more solid than MP-5 ever was and robot mode is spot on.
primetimex is online now Give a News Credit Point to primetimex Report Post
Thanks for the review
im awaiting mine from TFI
so the nail polish is the way to go? never done that on a fig before
Yes you should try it - it's a collector's best friend I'd say if you ever had to fix loose joints etc - just get some clear nail polish from cosmetics section etc I got mine at Red Dot lol - start off with thin layers nothing overboard and see how it goes.
I don't know why so many people who posted on TFW2005 have so many issues with this figure - some are nitpicking like paint overspray, paint nicks etc - but some maybe due to improper transformation - leading to breaking of arm hinges etc - which can be FRAGILE if you twist them the wrong way.
Overall I reckon the transformation is no more scary than MP-5 and at least the figure feels a lot more solid - it's G1 Megatron realised - cartoon accurate nuff said.
My Apollyon's right shoulder ball-joint also needed the nail polish fix.
I found collapsing the torso more difficult than pulling it back out.
Mine also has a tendency to lean back due to weak ankles.
oh well, my PO has been filled a week ago, but since I'm going overseas I can't have it delivered else I will definitely miss the delivery. Guess Il have to wait it out patiently heheheh. Good thing though that you guys have been posting what's wrong with the figure so I can anticipate it and also the fixes :)..
Holy crap.....I want my Apollyon!!! Now!!!!!!
Appreciate the run down of QC issues. Still, all things considered it's a decent figure and definitely the most accurate G1 Megs to date. Mine just arrived yesterday but haven't had a chance to take him out of the box yet. Only thing I noticed through the window was a minor scratch in the centre of his chest. A deception label should mostly cover it up. I'm inclined to wait for Reprolabels though. Sounds like they're already working on a set. Hoping to have a play on Friday if all goes well.
Regardless, it's nice to finally have him in hand. I hope you guys all get yours very soon.
From my point of view transforming Apollyon is no more difficult than say transforming MP Rodimus or MP-Megatron - I followed paik4life's youtube Apollyon review as reference.
But yeah those spindly arm armatures/hinges and that spindly waist filler bar can be a killer if you're not watching what you're doing during transforms as they can be very easily snapped off, but at least it's not like MP Rodimus with his rubbish plastics where things fall off for no particular reason due to stripping of poor quality plastics used.
I'll just leave him in bot mode after initial transform as the gun mode is too fat anyway - I can always use the G1 as a gun - much more closer to proper size I think.
As for the Decepticon insignia - I just used the free holo-insignia from Reprolabels - works a treat.
But man Apollyon is really the best Megatron so far whichever angles you view him it's pretty spot-on - the downside is it make the MP Megatron looks like s**t LOL.
This going to sound pretty weird....but....im probally never transforming to alt mode
I just want the robot mode and think that looks the bees knees :)
Non megs is going in shelf with other cons. Next to him will be an MP meg in gun mode. Thats how it will all stay.
Same with me, to be honest I've never transformed Hasbro MP soundwave, MP Prime, any MP-11 seeker apart from acid storm... However my cars, di(n)oblts, and ultra magnus get transformed at least once or twice weekly. Apollyon will be forever in glorious bot mode between soundwave and quakewave.
Sorry for double post, but I just checked aliexpress for the packaging dimensions... can anyone who has an apollyon already confirm that the box is smaller than scoria's box? Cheers.
I'd love to help you out but I didn't get Scoria. Hopefully someone here who has both can be of more assistance.
I opened my Apollyon last night. He's a bit scary to transform, you definitely have to be careful of a few pieces that could easily bend or break. I think transforming him will be a rarity now. Once you've done it once it's not too hard, just fiddly. I'm more concerned about those fragile pieces.
The orange cap from the gun tip was removed easily from mine, there was no glue. I might've just been lucky. However the cap on the silencer was a bit more effort. There only seemed to be glue on one side, and by poking it with a screwdriver from the other side and slowly working my way around the tip towards the one glued spot by applying pressure, cracked the glue relatively easily (still, that part was scary too).
Had to apply some clear nail polish to the shoulder joints to tighten them up as well. I was reluctant to use the included ball joint fixes after reading that they were far too tight and caused stress marks. The elbow rotation issue that presented itself on the review samples seems to have been corrected.
The paint apps are very well done though, and they seem to be reasonably resistant to nicks during transformation, especially the chest collapse.
I must say though, he looks damn fine standing next to his nemesis, MP-10 Optimus Prime. He was well worth the cost.

This bad boy comes in robot mode in packaging right?
Seems that wa guys are getting their apollyons first. Did you get a tracking number? Anyone from sydney get theirs yet? I'm eagerly awaiting mine!
Picked mine up (along with a few other people) in person last night. Can confirm his box is smaller than scoria's (so it fit in my backpack, wife had the car so I took the bike nust hoping it would fit otherwise I'd have to get it another day).
Edit - after playing around a lot (but not transforming), I can say that his gun arm is only loose side to side, ie he can hold it up pointing no prob all day long but if you pcik him up it swings horizontally loosely, not a prob for me atm. Also I tried displaying him with his gun out on the side, but his heel spurs ?? are just a tad too lose and he'll lean backwards (but not fall), so I've got him displayed with the cannon on front (which looks better anyway but also means that it's not as much of a squeeze to fit everything on that shelf), and then he's fine unless you nudge him, even jumping up and down in front of the shelf doesnt move him. Overall so happy, but I am really wanting a sticker for him, and Quakewave I guess, time to buy some reprolabels for prowl, smokescreen and wheeljack too then to make the order worthwhile.
I just found out you can perch MP laserbeak to Megs left Arm. Has a tab on his arm like MP Suondwave has.
It does look bloody good. I have been trying to avoid 3rd party releases for my MP collection but considering all the legal issues with making another (gun) MP Megatron (and the fact that one has already been made, albeit poorly)I am seriously considering getting this one for my MP collection.
Spiderken, Spiderken, does whatever a Spider... Ken... I have bo regrets at all, besides FansToys it's a great figure, like I've said I'll never transform it but the looks are just spot on. I regretted getting x-transbots stax, but this is just so much better! I have it standing between quakewave and soundwave and he shows them up, and with the price drop back down with the reissue...
Well I just caved and got one from Premium Collectables. At $160 with free shipping and the 2nd run with some QC issues sorted I am pretty happy. I have broken my "no 3rd partys in my MP collection" now. Its all over :)
Oh wow, premium collectables are selling 3rd party figures now? Fantastic!
got mine today...and boy the transformation was a bitch.... where the shoulder come together ....it all about the ball joint position.... im also pleasantly surprised that the trigger works and it also has a safe switch that moves!! no QC with mine at all....
here proof that i did transformer the sucker as im never going to do that again.... now the transformation back... lol

Was it hard to remove the orange cap, man?
Reprolabels are up for Apollyon at Toyhax...
Finally got a chance to check out my Apollyon, quick summary is that overall figure is good. I'm happy with it so far.
He has a bit of weight to him (although not as much a FT figures). Only a minor scratch on his abs (or could be left over glue or smudge, hopefully can fix/paint over it), everything else seems to be ok.
Plugs were stuck in with a dab or two of glue. The barrel plug I was able to wiggle out with a little bit of force, making sure not to bend/stress the swivel bar. The silencer plug was a bit tougher. I dunked it into some hot water to warm/loosen the glue, then did the screwdriver trick to pop it out.
He has the usual floppy right arm (when fusion cannon is attached). I think maybe the ankle tilts are a little loose but need to try out some more poses to be sure.
I haven't had a chance to transform him yet though, will have to give it a try tmrw. Hopefully it won't be too frustrating. I think like most I will transform him at least once to say I've done it, and confirm it's all good, then back to robot and he'll stay like that for display/play purposes.
Do need to find a Decepticon label for his chest too, just doesn't seem complete without it ... a little nekkid
still waiting for TFI downunder to ship mine... anyone else here waiting too? He said he would ship them out today...
I got a box from TFIdownunder but unfortunately when I opened it, this wasn't in there.
Back to waiting for mine
Still waiting.
