I have Sky Lynx in my list... but its I have a 45min wait... dont know if I got it
I don't think the list is anything but a shortcut to the items. It's not like it's in your cart, just something you want.
I can't get the catalogue to load up at all on my computer, so I'm waiting to see if the 45 min wait drops soon to 0
Those people who saw and purchased a Sky Lynx in store over the last week or so were either wise, or enough people did it to suck up all the stock... but the latter seems unlikely.

I've had the website refresh itself back to the normal homepage a couple of times and then bam back to the waiting longue. Suspecting it's restarting my 45 min wait each time. Been busy ready comments on the Big W Facebook page. Very few happy customers.
Ok. Now the wait time says 4 hours. Alright time to close the laptop and go to bed.
my wait time has been 15mins since 12:15, now just shot up to 3 3/4 hours
Finally got in, unable to add ER leaders or Sky Lynx. What a bust.

So I finally got through the 'queue' and it looks like the Sky Lynx I have in my cart is sold out.
What kind of incompetence doesn't stress test a queue system before launch!? :mad:
Same here, waiting in queue and boom all gone. Looks like I have to visit my local BigW this Thursday to get it.

Looks like its going to be 8 am thursday. My local had 5 sky lynx the other day but who knows how many they will have on the day

Placed a pick up order for the SS Leaders at 7am. No problems. Carindale.
Just got a note I can pick them up. Let's see which ones I get.
2 x Megatrons. Impressive. I will check back Thursday to see what is on the shelves. Luckily I took "precautions" last week so don't worry about me. But it doesn't bode well for others.

Hope this helps. Was just in one of my locals (Altona Meadows) picking up the studio series leader I ordered last night and the staff member advised me that they were just waiting for the next shipment of Sky Lynx to come in so that sounds promising...

Wondering where to go on Thursday. Garden City is my usual but apparently no more layby there, which I wanted to use. Underwood is by far my closest and has layby but it doesn't get much in for the toy sales usually. Then Browns Plains has layby and possibly lots of stock but is 40ish min by bus.
Is the website a reflection of in-store stock levels?
No. For example, I could only order one studio series leader last night for pick up but today when I went into two stores, they were still stacked with plenty.

All the others on sale (Generations Leaders and Voyagers, Studio Series Leaders and Voyagers) can still be added to cart.
That's quite a shame they had insufficient stock for the online launch. I think the goal of online shopping in advance was to avoid the retail hustle, but that's going to be the only way to get him. I know a lot of people will be disappointed, but he will be available more widely come September.
I'm so glad I bought mine at full retail though, rather than taking the risk for day of. They may well have more stock they're holding back for Thursday too.
Apparently people are getting emails from Big W saying their orders were cancelled due to lack of stock after ordering them hours before.
Would have loved the option, but a bit difficult when Big W have never found a reason to open a store in North Tas - despite the population of Tas being fairly evenly split north/south and Hobart having 3 stores...Quote:
