Cos I'm a nerd. :p
After a while some of them pick it up. It's a language class, so students are supposed to be attuned to linguistic patterns. :)

*bada-boom TISH* :D
my initials and surname and michael jordan was my favourite NBA player when I was younger hence 23.
Let's bring back this thread to see what some of our newer members say about their usernames :)
You'll never guess what my username means, it's really cryptic.......
Yeah, no, it's just my name because I'm super creative like that :D
Kalel: Superman, im a big fan :P
According to Babynames.com Jena is an American variant of Gina which is Italian for "Queen" (from the Latin "Regina"). Kal-El is a Kandorian name. El means "of" and Kal means "border," so "Kal-El means "of the border."
As far as I knew, my name is of Arabic origin and means endurance or little bird. I'm more of a princess than a queen.
My parents got the name from Blake's 7.
great thread.... really enjoyed reading it.
my username "janda the red" is what i use for everything ( xboxlive, facebook & various forums )
it came about from naming my team in the video game Worms on Playstation1, i named one character after my blue heeler "janda".... and added the red part to kind of make it sound piratey! lol (Janda means "goanna" in aboriginal)
janda passed away 2 years ago.... i loved that dog to bits, so now my name stands as a tribute to her.
janda :)
My favorite TF is Sunstreaker, but that username was taken so i became Sideswipes Brother, who is, of course, Sunstreaker. So even though i dont have his name i am still him. :D (speaking of which, i simply cannot ever remember seeing someone called Sunstreaker actually post on here)
It'd be funny if someone registered as Sunstreaker's brother. :D
There may have been someone registered under that name when you registered, but never posted here to use it (as such would have been deleted after 12 months - which is a policy I have here to free up character names that would otherwise be wasted, if there is a dedicated fan who could use it).
Did you want yours changed to Sunstreaker?
Let me know if you do.
I didn't really think about it.. geigerrock was just my latest purchase at the time.. the 2 cause he's MR-2.. (and i was used to every name on the internet requiring numbers cause the originals had been snapped up long ago)
my intention was to get in, buy some transformers that weren't on ebay and that was about it.. . i didn't expect to be visiting here everyday.
if i had it over i like the names Overlord,, (but thats way too high ranking for me)
Cyclonus,
or maybe Slag would've been more fitting:rolleyes:
it's not easy being a go-bot on a transformer site:p
Great thread! It's good to see where the great people on this board came up with their names, and it makes me wish I had more imagination :( ( my real name is Mick Macneill) I did toy with the idea "Mackatron" or "Ultra Mackness" but couldn't convince myself!
Maybe its time I put the request to Griffin?
I quite like the sound of "Ultra Macknus" -- makes it look more similar to "Magnus" (which means "great" in Latin btw :)). :) Ultra is Latin for "extreme," so "Ultra Macknus" is kinda like "Extreme Great Macneill" :D
Extremely Great... LIKE A BOSS!! (^O^)

Mine is just the reverse of one of my other interests, or more appropriately a passion. My location should give a clue.
If Sworc is ever taken I'll attach a 97 or 98. Two fine years.
I'm considering officially changing my name to Mick Macneill, just so I can use Ultra Mackness if you don't use it. It is that good.
I'll second that! 1997 the year that Beast Wars Season 1 aired for the first time in countries outside North America (and even in the U.S. they were still finishing Season 1 in the earlier half of that year as the series had only begun airing in the latter half of 96). And 1998 was the year when Season 2 aired and Takara gave us Beast Wars Second, which included the second ever theatrical Transformers movie and the first ever toy that had a Matrix (Lio Convoy)! Sure, by today's standards his Matrix isn't terribly fancy, but at the time it was pret-ty cool! :)
1997 was also the year Machine Wars came out in the USA, and 1998 was the year Machine Wars came out in Australia... and shelfwarmed badly for the next few years. :p Back in the day when vehicle-Transformers proved unpopular and animals reigned supreme. ;)
Mine is......3 of my initials.
Exciting, hey?
I have two middle names. Generally I just use the first.
But my first name and both middle names equal CAT
If I add my surname, it gets funny - CATP - cat pee.
I then technically have a third middle name from confirmation when I was a kid. That makes it - CATPP. Cat pee-pee.
See why I just use Cat now? :o
;) in surprised you avoided the other
obvious one... ;)
Woohoo, I've evolved :D thanks Griffin!
My name is a very clear Invader Zim reference.
Mine's a boring one. My first name starts with M and it's been my practice to sign off emails/letters/messages with M for many years now. Added the "bot" to reflect the nature of the board. I have a tad of regret now I didn't think it through and pick something more interesting but I guess I'm used to it.:)
Loved reading everyone else's stories!
(if I can be permitted to drift off-topic somewhat...)
'97 & '98 are memorable years, for much the opposite reason from your good self. Crows knocked my Doggies off in the prelim both those years. In 1997 had a 30-odd point lead at 3/4 time and then Darren Jarmen went berserk in the last and we lost it by a handful. Shattering.
In '98, Terry Wallace had the genius idea of playing Tony Liberatore at centre-half back and we got spanked.
:mad:I'm not at all bitter!!!!
;)
Wow, I thought I posted here, but I didn't.
Well two words combined into one name = super cool:cool:
Tetsuwan from Astroboy (my fave cartoon as a kid, got me into robots) and Convoy. From a procession of vehicles.:p
I changed from just using my name when we swapped a board sometime in the past.
So, at the time, I was torn between Sonic Convoy (Sonic the hedgehog, plus procession of vehicles) or Tetsuwan. Obviously Tetsuwan won. At the time, Sonic Convoy (from Galaxy force) didn't exist either.
Anyhoo, most people refer to me as Tets now and since most of my friends I met through the board, more people probably call me Tets than my real name... That's a little bit odd...
I've grown rather fond of it now and most of my online ID has been derived from Tetsuwan Convoy on some way or another.
