Well, I'm slowly building my Iron Man armory.

First up is that one Iron Man armor I don't really know how to refer to. Anyway, it's a nice fig. Slightly substandard with the silly shoulder pad articulation though. Quite a nice sculpt though, looks the part.

Second is the Hulkbuster. To be honest, I'm pretty ambivalent on it. I can deal with the small size but the paint mismatch and some aspects of the sculpt don't wow me. He'll look good throwing down with the Juggernaut in any case.
Having fiddled with these a bit I can honestly say I like MU style hips more too. What a chore rotating these ones to the right direction.
Love the classic Iron Man
God I need these, will be ordering them!

The villians look good, but the only way to get Mandarin at the moment is to get a full case. Nothing else appeals to me.
I found the next wave of Iron Man movie figures at my Local K-mart,
there's Whiplash, War Machine and the Mark IV armour in that wave. and whole bunch or repaints I assume. Shame I can't afford to buy none until friday.
Ooo excellent, thnaks for that! they look good?
Will be checking kmart on the weekend :D
The Iron Man armours look pretty sweet, I think the paint apps on the Whiplash I looked at were less than Spectacular, much like the eyes on the Wolverine Movie figures.
kmart had some new figures last night (well not new but new for us) guardsman titanium man silver centurion, whiplash war machine etc.
good to finally see some new figures.
$8 each
:D:D:D
Check out this Revoltech Iron Man 2 figure! Just WOW!

Oh cool Gantz. I swear I saw a proto for the final whiplash somewhere just the other day...
I've been picking up a fair few IM2 figures now they're at clearance. I'll have to take a good Hall or armor pic once I have them all in my grasp. Titanium Man still eludes me though *Shakes fist at sky*.
I picked up myself a few comic series figures at a couple of Kmarts when I ran across them for $6AU while visiting. It was strange finding only the one Iron Man figure in a store and it being one I was interested in.
Need Comic Mandarin though - and hes not cheap.
I'd say there's a pretty good chance I could find a Titanum Man if I looked hard enough. Want me to see if I can find one for you?
And if he cant, I could.
K-Mart I ventured into on Saturday had a few.
Was the proto you saw similar to this hammer drone??
Hmm, it's tempting, IM2 figures are clearanced after all aren't they? Still, the Aussie dollar would make postage pretty rough.

Here's the link though Gantz. I dont think much is known about it apart from that.
I owe Zippo a Birthday prez later in the year, I could piggy back in the same parcel if you're happy to wait till Sept/Nov... whenever the hell it is. :P I heard you're nearby?
On a sadder note, my Kmart no longer have any IM2 figs left at all. So I'll let you know if I have any luck when I hit Geelong soon.
********************************
I don't like the prototype at all but I love the drone.... I'd be all over that. I wonder if we'll ever see it here?
Hey man, if you can that would be hugely appreciated! Waiting is no problem to me.

Classic Iron Men!
No matter how much I handle the IM2 figures I don't think I'll ever like them better than the MU mold. I can't deal with the lack of wrists and the gimped head articulation. Each to their own I guess as I think most people rate the former over the latter.
Post some badass pics Gantz!

I grabbed this guy recently. He's very cool and all, definitely a cool armor but I feel like mine has some messed up legs. His stance is really wide and his feet don't sit flat, in addition to that the tops of his thighs are quite different in design, with one having a lip that blocks inwards articulation. It's all very strange and I guess what I'm asking is if anyone else has this figure with these issues?
I'll try my best :D
Yeah but you still made him look sick!! Which armour is that?
I can sort of see what you're saying from the pic, the positioning looks odd, but dont have the figure myself...
It's the "Deep Dive" from the first wave of the IM2 concept line. He should be well reduced by now and is really a swish figure. (See review)
I think that dude's figure suffers as well, it must be a weird design choice perhaps?
It may just be the way he has been positioned, but the chest place looks oddly place hey.
Besides that, great looking figure and I do like the paint job.
Grabbing a few of these from BBTS for the Initiative War Machin when he arrives, they're for Gundam figures, but god damn, you know Iron Man figures would look so much more awesome on 'em :D
Plus the green will compliment War Machine very well

Well sorry Meangreen but my attempts to track you down a Titanium Man are a complete bust. I've not only hit every store in Bendigo but today I also checked out over half of Geelong and still no luck.
Hey man, that's ok. Thanks so much for putting that effort in regardless.
I've consoled myself with the Advanced Armor figure that Zippo snagged for me from your fair country.
http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/o...s/Advanced.jpg
Apart from the lack of arm swivels this figure is full on glorious. The added neck joint has a really big positive impact and the sculpt is really nice. It's a pity the line never got to crank out more cool comic armors like this.
Have seen the armour a few times and thought awesome of it.
'Green, can I ask, I've just received the friggin' marvelous Initiative War Machine, And really want pics to look great!
Any tips? How do you achieve that white background on most of your pics?
The best camera I have is on my Nokia N8, its good, but I guess useless in the hands of someone who has like no idea what they're doin!
Well, I'm not overly experienced with photography so I found this tutorial HERE, and others like it on the web, to be a great help. I built a similarly cheap set up myself, except that it's heavy on the "extra-cheap" side.
From my experience the camera is not as important as lighting the subject and having the camera steady. I use an 8 year old, 3 MP camera with about 5 minutes battery life every charge. As long as it has a macro mode it should be sufficient.
I also have to balance the colours a bit after taking the photo as all my light is very yellow.
I'm excited to see what you come up with!
