And this morning Wreck-Gar has changed to "expected by 30 Aug".
I don't particularly care to have my lived experience questioned.
I stated a simple fact - that Amazon charged one amount, then refunded part of it. I have a credit card statement, several e-mails, and an invoice and adjustment note combination to go with it.
Yes, I'm "sure".
I've had it happen both ways. Most of the time, the price is adjusted before dispatch. There are times however when it will drop to a lower price between the time of order and the time it was dispatched (whether by algorithm or by a discount sale)
From the Preorder Price Guarantee Page:Quote:
The order summary in Your Account will be updated to reflect the lowest applicable price within 48 hours of any price change up until the time that it is released.
...
- Where a physical item has a stated release date, if your order enters the dispatch process before that date and the price of the item drops below the price that you were charged between the date of dispatch and the end of the day of the release date, we'll automatically refund to your nominated payment method the difference between the price that you were charged and the lower price.
In my experience once they ship it then it arrives really quickly! But man can it take a long time to actually ship. All my pre-orders haven't moved an inch (SS86 stuff that others have had ship) and even some stuff I ordered that was IN STOCK is still sitting there after a long time. Weird.
Looks like Amazon AU has gotten a new batch of Scorponok priced at $36.38 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08P3S7PTK/
Got my Wreck-Gar from Amazon this morning
Ooooh...
I just checked my credit card to see if maaaaaaybe Wreck-Gar had been charged overnight. No such luck, but there is a new charge for Amazon that exactly matches the Mirage and Grimlock two-pack! Yay :)
Mirage/Grimlock was charged for me today.
Just got a notification
Ark is expected by third of September
The Grimlock/Mirage 2-pack is indeed in-stock at Amazon AU, but for $103... but was $77 during pre-order.
Mine hasn't been processed yet... hopefully before they sell out to those buying them now.
I wish I still had the old UI that tells you when an order is preparing for shipment. My account doesn't show that much info ever since I got moved to the newer UI.
Anyway. I guess they charged me for Mirage and Grimlock as I have a $77 charge from Amazon, but yeah. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's been charged for with the new UI.
I just got charged fot the Ark. No revised shipping date yet tho.
SG Megs just got bumped again
Dang, just got the e-mail about Wreck-Gar being delayed again.
Ark arrived today
Mainframe has two of the same panel and can’t transform how is amazon with exchanges?
I got charged for Tracks, Pipes, Slammer, 3 Sharkticons, Artfire, Slag and surprising Jackpot. I'm guessing Amazon has made some strange mistake charging me for some of this stuff.
I was charged for the Ark today. Now I need those Juqi gap-fillers to be re-stocked again...
Black Zarak order cancelled due to incorrect price
Rest in Chokon Power, Prince...
Just got cancellation email for my $30 Black Zarak order.
For some unexplainable reason they cannot sell it to me for $30. I cannot believe they wouldn't honour their word by selling me a $200-300 figure for $30.
All in all worth a shot for the 1 in a million chance it slipped through.

In this case, we're unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we've cancelled your order for this item, and you haven't been charged.
At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. We're very sorry for any disappointment this may cause.
Thanks for your understanding.
So much for "pre-order price guarantee" :D
I was hoping that when they realised the price was wrong and fixed it, they wouldn't cancel the orders, but notify people of the change to give them the option of cancelling the order themselves, and not charge them until they confirm that they still want it at the new price.

I would have prefered them to keep my preorder but alter it to the correct price. I still want the figure, but now my order is cancelled...
Well, we have the link recorded here, so we just have to keep rechecking it to see if they relist it at the proper price.
I was at the post office today at about 3pm to pick up KD BW Scorponok which had arrived yesterday, and as I was next door at Coles to grab some groceries, I got a text to say that something was on its way to be delivered today from Amazon in Melbourne (I had two items in transit - The Ark and Grimlock/Mirage 2-pack). The post office would close at 5pm, so just in case it was the Ark I decided to wait in the car (parked near the post office entrance). At about 4pm a red post office van arrived, and sure enough, soon afterwards a notification came through to say it was delivered.
Hopping inside the post office, I asked them for an item that was just delivered (fortunately they know me from all the toys I pick up), and "unfortunately" it was the 2-pack.
The strange thing was that it was shipped from Melbourne by express post, which I didn't select because it has a fee to it... so either it was a mistake, or it was meant to make up for the 2 month delay, as it was supposed to be out July 7th.
Sigh... the Ark will have to wait until later in the week.
Not an item but Amazon Australia is going to charge a 0.5% surcharge if you pay by Visa cards from 1 November 2021. To avoid the charge, you can use another payment method like Mastercard, Amex, Debit card or Zip etc.
Well that is highly irritating. Visa is all I have
Huh. Some banks don't let you choose - I was forcibly swapped from Visa to Mastercard a few years ago. First time I've ever had reason to be glad.
Still sucky though, especially for a giant like Amazon. They'll be paying a truly tiny amount of each transaction to Visa; the bigger you are, the better deal you can get from them.
Ark is in stock now on the website and looks like my pre-order is charging.
None of my SS86 (the things I really want) have changed, but the bloody Ark of all things is what gets sorted first. :(
wonder if i can get an exchange now the arks back in stock
