Keep an eye out for sales and especially around July/ august next year just before the next iteration comes out. Skylanders and infinity figures go super cheap, about $6 or less. If this wave is anything like the last two, there'll be plenty left.

the first time i played it i kinda felt the same. also i didn't realise it was by obsidian and not bioware and so the storytelling and plot are quite different, especially compared to a "standard" star wars style and i didn't quite get it at the time but now later on i really love some of the ideas they played with.
playing it again and reading this let's play at the same time really helped make it more enjoyable:

if you have it on steam you should install it and it should automatically update. if not, buy it  it's probably cheap!
I'm currently playing a game on my iPad called Lifeline. It's a cool text based game where you are contacted by a survivor of a spaceship that has crashed on an unknown planet and you have to help him survive. Basically a choose your own adventure type game, but in real-time. As in, if he tells you it'll take 2 hours to get somewhere, you have to wait 2 hours before you have your next interaction.
It's not bad, I'm 2 days in and haven't killed him yet :)
Heh Kotor, I thought your avatar was familiar.
I recently upgraded the GPU in my computer so it'd be able to run Fallout 4, which is all well and good in Windows, but considering the machine is a Mac Pro, I had to do a few things to make the card work on OS X as its not natively supported.
Namely, have two cards in the computer while I installed the drivers for the new card, make sure the nVidia software is overriding the built in drivers (which won't work) and remember not to update OS X or id have to do the whole thing over again.
Guess which boneheaded move I just made?
Yep. Ran software update.
Black screens all around...
So rather than trying to plug in the old card again, I'm trying something different, booting the Mac Pro up in Target Disk Mode (acts as an external drive over FireWire) and hooking up my MacBook Air via a Thunderbolt to FireWire adaptor in the hopes I can boot the Mac Pro's OS on the MBA's hardware to install the driver.
Let's hope this works.
lol mac
which card did you get?
ehh when Apple bought eMagic I had to switch to stay with Logic, having said that this computer's lasted a lot longer than any previous (early 2008 model) just had to replace the GPU twice. Current one is a nVidia GTX960 4gb model.
Oh and the above method worked perfectly for anyone interested in doing silly stuff like me
cool, i splurged a while ago and got a 980ti. i played the star wars battlefront beta for a while, it looked stunning at 1440p with everything at max settings :D

Great screenshot! Battlefront is such a great looking game that it nearly fools me into buying in based on that alone.
i did generally enjoy playing in the beta but competitive or even casual online only just doesn't really appeal to me much any more. if it goes on sale i might bite. i think there was a trend among reviewers that there might not be enough 'game' to it to last and keep people happy, especially for the price so that's holding me back.
i took a few more screens but imgur is having a fit at the moment so i cant link the gallery.
