Has anyone seen the Wonder Woman movie lego set? It's the one with a giant Ares in it.
Speed and Star Wars sets in my local Kmart... $45 now for the same size sets that were $39... disappointing especially as I was hoping to nab the clone tank but that price put me off, hoping big w will be cheaper.
$49 for the speeder is insane and it won't move as the box is half he size of the $39/$45 sets...
I'll wait till it goes on clearance like all the rogue one sets are. If I hadn't already gotten them at the heavy discount prices last summer I'd be snapping ten up now. Considering buying another tank and walker and flogging off the minifigs to recoup some of the price...
I popped into a shopping centre after work today & noticed that Big W, Target & Kmart all had new Star Wars, Speed Champs, Nexo Knights & Friends sets (Myer's toy section looked like it had been hit by a tornado... ). I wasn't looking at prices but man, how nice is that vintage Ford GT-40 build... :D
It's funny how just last night I spent nearly $100 on a variety of SW Bounty Hunter mini-figs on Bricklink (because I thought that particular set wouldn't show up here for quite a while...) & low & behold what did I find in the stores today... Oh well... :rolleyes:

One of the guys at work pre-ordered the UCS Snowspeeder. It arrived today with an exclusive R2-D2.
I saw at Chadstone TRU the Rathtar scene and Quadjumper sets plus a new bounty hunter battle pack and a first order battle pack

I wonder if they would put TFA sets on clearance anytime soon since the toys directly relate to the upcoming sequels. The first two Freemaker seemed like a flop, so I'm not surprised that retailers has been too keen on the next two sets. After watching vid reviews for Tracker I & The Arrowhead, I think I will be saving my money and non-existent display space for the big TLJ sets. Real missed opportunity with The Arrowhead - I had hoped it was closer to the Hammerhead Corvette from Rogue One.

Spotted the Ultimate Batmobile 70917 & the Batwing 70916 at a local K-Mart earlier today. I didn't catch the price of the Batwing (as it was still in the big metal cage thing that they use) but the price tag for the Batmobile was a hefty $225!
They also had most of the new Jungle sets on the shelves. Funny enough, the only things I want from those sets are the big cats... Bricklink here I come... Heh!

Pretty cool because I haven't seen it at the other local Myers in the past 2 weeks yet, and also it has not been listed on the Myer website yet. At the time of this post, it looks like only Parramatta and Sydney City has this item stocked for Click&Collect.
Strange thing about their eBay shop is that Assembly Square is not listed under Lego when you search via categories. Also, quite a few sets have the word
"Lego" jammed into the sub-line, i.e. CreaLegoator. Someone's using the concatenate formula in Excel wrong? :p

I was in a local K-mart earlier today (the first time that I'd gone for a look in quite a while) & in the lego section they had a couple of those big metal cages full of the new Ninjago Movie sets & some DC Super Hero ones as well.
& here I was expecting that we'd be waiting months for them to show up here... Lol
So I missed the Lego Apollo set on shopforme (it wasn't up last night, then when I checked at lunch today, it was sold out!) and the legoshop is also out of stock, so I was wondering if anyone has seen them in Toyworlds or other smaller retailers?
I just picked mine up from a Toyworld here in Perth today. Also various online stores have had it in the last few days but probably sold out. Cheekytoys.com.au and Hobbywarehouse.com.au. Such a huge box. Bigger than I was expecting. Now to find some time to build it.:)Quote:

Have you checked other stores online like hobby warehouse or imbrickjames? Next time i am there i will see if they still have some. I think they are about $170. I might be able to buy one and post it but i dunno how much the postage would be.
I did go past again today and they were all sold. The lady said they don't have a central system to look up items since each toyworld is individually owned. Possibly getting some more around october/november.
Apollo Saturns have been sighted at Myer Melbourne apparently. So check others.:)

Anyone seen the Creator London Bus in the wild? I havent tried the Lego Shop in Chadstone yet but thought I'd ask anyway.
So I rang around heaps of David Jones' stores today chasing the Saturn V. CBD sold out yesterday as did Bondi. Chatswood had 8 in stock that were all bought by one person as soon as the store opened this morning (They opened at 9:30 and I rang just after 10am).
Both Bondi and Chatwood were showing as having 4 and 6 more in stock respectively but neither store could find them. They suspect it is either a system error or the stock hasn't arrived yet. They said to keep checking every day or so.
I tried my local Toyworld, down in Kiama and they had one that they sold over the phone to a guy in Canberra yesterday.
So I gave up in frustration. Wifey rang around for me and found one in stock at a toy shop somewhere in NSW and they are going to post it :)
And she managed all that while juggling the housework, groceries and a toddler that threw a tantrum every chance he got all day! I knew there was a reason I married her! :)

HobbyCo in the city apparently had 37 in stock with 1 being unallocated. They said this was half the number originally promised to them. They're not taking any more orders until they receive an invoice from Lego. These are due in November. I put my name down for the unallocated one, probably among 1,000 other collectors.
The Launceston Toyworld had one Star Wars TLJ set out early - 75190 First Order Star Destroyer. It was on their high shelf behind the counter so couldn't see what the ridiculous price was.
I'm expecting the TLJ sets are going to be massive-expensive.
