Toys aren't just sent out to stores. Each store-chain has to want the product enough to order it. It looks like Kmart were not interested in Metroplex, so didn't order it.

Oh god what have I done. I could not wait the extra few weeks and just got one on ebay! AHHHHHH $230AUD shipped. But hey its only $30 more than what Myer and TRU will sell it for. :D:D:D:D:D:D BBTS was $109US and $70US for postage and I would have got about a $15 Currency conversion fee from the bank using my credit card. I dont think I did that bad....
Incl. shipping it's US$156, which is about AU$175, so we're looking at an approx. difference of $25, so the $200 RRP isn't too bad considering. :) And as you said, you have the advantage of easier refund/exchange options (plus you can rip the toy open as soon as you buy it instead of that excruciating wait that comes with online shopping!).
Rang Big W + Target looking for prices, the UPC ( Barcode 653569874577) isn't in their systems yet.
Hmmmm I managed to secure a piece for $105aud. Have not done the shipping cost yet. Might have to bring it back to save on cost.
If you're able to, VERT, do what i do and leave the account that's linked to BBTS at a bare minimum. No money in the account, no charge, no bank conversion fee. Once i get email notification of the product being available, I deposit money into that account and pay via Paypal. This works for larger purchases for which i used to get charged a conversion fee.
I thought Big bad toystore did not use pay pal. Thanks for the tip will keep that in mind :-)
You can pay for your PoL preordered items with PayPal, but you do need a credit card to be able to place a preorder. PayPal or credit card are available payment options. Mine's a visa linked to savings account, i just transfer the funds when i'm ready to pay for an item
