how exclusive/rare is the universe Nemesis Prime figure?
heaps if your not an american
Which inconsiderate bot left his weapon unattended that led to Megatron mortally wounding 1986 Movie Prime? You know that purple gun that MP Megs has as an accesory.
And why was the MP Starcream prototype changed from having functional, well made legs to the useless appendages they are now?

Heretic, try hosting that picture on photobucket or something similar because we can't see it..
Good question about MP Starscream, I had never seen those pictures, and I must say that is very sexy, I'm quite happy with how MP Starscream legs turned out, but that looks like it would be a fair bit sturdier.. But sorry, can't answer the question
Kawamori Shouji decided to alter the legs to give the jet mode a more realistic looking underside which reveals less robot kibble.Quote:

Are you talking about the one that comes with MP Megatron? I have no idea who originally owned that gun. It was conveniently lying there on the ground when Megatron wanted to blast Prime.Quote:

P.S.: I believe it belonged to a Transformer called Plot-device-ticon. :p
It was a SDCC exclusive but they seem readily available in HK and other place. You can get him for slightly higher than local RRP from Shingstar here
Blitzwing has a rifle, not a hand-pistol and the Insecticons' guns are all chrome (white in the cartoon), not purple.Quote:

Anyway there are ways to get around the Kawamori mods since the base prototype is still there:

If only MP Starscream had been designed more like the Macross Plus YF-19 - that's my personal favourite transforming Macross toy (although it's freakishly hard to transform, but so is MP Starscream :)).

P.S.: I don't mean that Starscream should be designed to look like a YF-19 or any Macross Valkyrie, I mean that I wish the engineering effort was similar in terms of having a good looking jet mode and solid robot mode. Having said that, the jet mode isn't realistic so in fairness MP Starscream did have an extra level of difficulty in terms of achieving a realistic F-15 mode. Kawamori argued that at a Masterpiece level the jet mode shouldn't be just an oversized version of the G1 toy and betray robot mode kibble. On the other extreme you have MP Grimlock - but then again, you're never gonna be going for alt mode realism with a G1 Grimlock tribute/homage. ;)
Does anybody know anything official about these guys?
Latino Twintwist
Latino Topspin
Apart from being made in Argentina I can't find anything else on these guys.
Latino Twin Twist likes big butts. Consequently, in 1985, Twin Twist took correspondence courses in Spanish and Portuguese. He called himself Salt-Man Z, went to Argentina to trawl the beaches and got himself a gnarly navy-blue and yellow tan. Salt-Man Z recently took a break from sunning himsef to hang out in Axiom Nexus but returned soonafter to hang with his Argentinian honeys. He is awesome.

(And I would say that's not a bad price if you want an unusual G1 Transformer. I'm tempted myself.)
Freaking cool Sky Shadow! Thanks. I've found another variant colour! By my right as Supreme Being of my collection I've changed her gender and renamed her Twin Spin. (It was either that or Top Twist but that sounds like a bread)
She's just entered the barracks of my Autobot Drone Army. Pics later.
"Salt" (salto) means "jump" in Spanish, hence the name "Saltman Z" for the Jumpstarter.
I thought MP Grimlock could be positioned in both old skool "Godzilla" and modern "Jurassic Park" poses. Either way, it's a mechanical robot that looks like a T-Rex, not a realistic T-Rex itself. And if they were to do Grimlock with a realistic beast mode I would prefer them to make it a velociraptor as per his Beast Wars form (BW T-Rex is too iconically associated with Megatron too).Quote:

The MP Seekers sacrificed G1 accuracy for better jet mode accuracy, and they've been criticised for that, so I guess TakaraTOMY are going back to the original plan of making MPs more G1-accurate rather than going for alt mode precision (which is really what Binaltech was for - the decision to make MP Starscream alt-mode accurate was Kawamori's decision which has met some criticism so yeah... I don't blame TakaTOM for moving away from that)
universe countdown, what repaint and size is he?
Ultra. It's Cybertron Defense Red Alert. He was also the 2006 BotCon Beast Wars Megatron.
And I'll be getting both Universe Countdown and Darkwing (and Overkill. And probably even RiD Bruticus too). Finally, after all the boring homages, Universe is on a roll.
What year is the JAPANESE release of the animated movie set? (English version is set in 2005). I seem to remember reading somewhere that it is set in 2010, but apparently that's when season 3 takes place...
this day in Mart K
i saw big big Movie bags, they were like shoppin bags kinda like David Jones or a department shop bag, anyone else seen em? aRe they meant to be christmassie - like you chuck presents in them like stockings?
I couldn't find any price tag
they had bumblbee and optimus
The Kowamori mods to make the jet mode more realistic did not have to affect the robot mode as much as it did. The only reason that the whole rear assemblies of the jet mode are hanging of Starscream's hips rather than attached to his legs is because Kawamori wanted them to, that's all. It wasn't necessary, he had already improved the alt mode without impacting the bot mode's G1 tribute as far as the mold design is concerned.
I am sure that if the robot mode mods had not been made, no one would of had an issue with the mold changes. The color and plastic used in the original release are another story which thankfully ended with Greenscream.
Twincast the Decepticon
Do all e-hobby Twincasts come in a Decepticon box? He is an Autobot yeah?
Yeah he is not a Destron but a Cybertron.
Weird.
It's because he comes with Flipsides, who's a Decepticon sleeper agent. Everyone thinks that she's an Autobot, including herself - she's lived the life of an Autobot for thousands if not millions of years, forming close friendships etc etc., but buried deep within her subconscious is a Decepticon sleeper program that, when activated, will transform her into a Decepticon warrior who'd gladly gut her closest friends who probably trust her completely. Yeah... nasty stuff.
My Decepticon Insect Platoon (and shelf) is a little light on for numbers with only the 3 main and 4 deluxe G1 Insecticons currently populating it.
I'm thinking of beefing up their numbers with some Tf's from the Beast Wars. I currently own zero BW figures and I'm just wondering what insect Tf's there are in the line.
Thank you.
no question for now, just marking the fact that over the last week I read this whole thread from start to finish.
Go me.
Transmetal Waspinator would look at home with the Insecticons (and comes in two colours) or the original Waspinator and his repaint Buzzsaw.
Others that come to mind are Insecticon (beetle), Manterror (mantis), Powerpinch (earwig), Inferno (ant), Scavenger (robot ant), Cicadacon (cicada), Ramhorn (beetle)
There's also a scorpion and some spiders but I think those aren't technically insects.
The little head busts. IE: Prime, Megsy ETC. Does anyone know what they are planning for the future? I think a Starscream would make sence. They have, Prime and Megs the origanal leaders. Roddy and Galvatron, the second leaders. And Magnus, the temp/fill in/sub Leader. Starscream would be a logical choice, cause he was the Dcon leader for a short stint.
Any one want to add anything?
