It's a hit and miss, when I turned it on at first it didn't work, but after restarting it did. The problem was that the blue screen was encountered in the first place. Just scanned my comp using ESET online scanner, Malwarebytes and updated my windows and java. No threats found. Must be just a glitch. Fingers crossed it's still good, thanks guys.
For the last couple of months there's been a huge TF drought at Aussie retail, now we get heaps of waves coming out at the same time! My wallet likes frequent small releases, not the occasional PAYLOAD!!!
DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!
What I hate is no Wave 1 Reveal the Shield at Aussie retail!! And curse me eagerness to get tracks and Jazz I check out ebay and find reasonably cheap ones from a Chinese seller.
Who is away until the 9th because of Chinese New Year.
Grrrrrr.
Got given a Unicron as an early Birthday gift from my brother. Just opened the box. I HATE TWISTY TIES. I'm too tired to free the figure from his cardboard prison now...
Get yourself one of these babies ;)

(and if you think Unicron's bad, you should see ROTF Combiner Class Devastator - and he's no where as bad as Brave Maximus -- that toy's got the mother-load of all twist ties!)
Went to order pizzas from dominos today expecting it to be $5.50 like the last time but no... its gone up to $6.50 in less than a month.
bloody hell.
You're lucky, I haven't paid $5.50 for a pizza in ages. I think ours have been cranking $6.95 for a while now. More often than not 7.95.
I made the mistake of ordering without a voucher and they tried to charge me $15 pickup. No thanks, I'd rather go to a restaraunt for that.
driving in peak hour:( there was a girl in the middle of the road just staying there not even walking to the other side. i come up and drive around her still on the road. And a white car from the other side turning was up my arse and went into the left lane, i was in right of double lanes, where the girls were going back onto the raodside. So nearly hit me.
should i have stopped for the girls to cross? they werent moving:( i was expecting her to continie to the other side but she just stood there watching me arrive at the corner.
bah!
its not really. that was meant to be cheap tuesdays but its no longer cheap. i usually ordered 2x cheese & garlic pizzas and 1x supreme 1x godfather. but yeah the supreme and godfather had both gone up $1ea so was very unhappy about that.
I know prices/costs are rising, but if it follows this trend soon people wont be able to afford to get a cheap meal at maccas/dominos/anywhere...
I'm so sick of getting knocked back for jobs.
Aftershocks! Getting annoying to no end:mad:
I did when I was living in Japan. Felt a tremor almost every day. Never experienced an actual quake though (and hopefully never will *touch.wood*). But this is a main reason why Japanese toy packaging is usually designed to be easily re-packaged (even carded toys). Most collectors keep their toys stored in package cos loose toys will easily fall over whenever there's a tremor. I used to keep my Transformers in boxes when I was in Japan -- took them out play, packed them back in when I was done.
Glad to hear you're okay OS78. I should pop over to the TFNZ forum this w/e and see how the other Kiwis are doing
Theres some good pics in here if your intrested

The aussies sent a team over fresh from the flooding. Can bet after this they will be a very experienced team
This morning at around 6am while sleeping in bed I felt something touch my foot, upon feeling it, I immediately woke up and kicked it which was followed by a small 'thump' sound hitting the carpet. I immediately jumped out of bed and hit the lights but could not see anything and since I am the type who likes to have a lot of space, I could see most of my floor.
At first I thought that I had dreamed but decided to look around further in the direction where I had heard it hit the carpet, at this point I was beginning to convince myself that it was a dream. I moved my desk a little bit and suddenly this brown thing came out from right behind it at top speed so fast that I couldn't even make out what it was, it was just a brown flash of light. I noticed that it darted to the living room in the direction of the corner book case. I was fast enough to follow it so I knew that it had not come out through the other side and must be behind the book case. I was still unsure on what the hell this thing was, it was too fast and heavy to be a roach and it seems smart enough to know when to hide so I figured it was something in the order of Rodentia but not 100% sure since i never got a good look at it.
Anyways, I moved the book case a tiny bit and a brown blurr darted into the kitchen and I saw it go behind the stove. At first I moved the stove forward to check - nothing. Then I lifted it and wedged something under so that I could see underneath - nothing. I thought that whatever it was must have gone inside the stove so I decided to turn it on and force it out - Nothing. It had simply vanished.
I was beginning to get really frustrated while at the same time becoming aware of the humor of my situation but it still bothered me a lot to have a mouse in my unit, specially when I am the type who doesn't tolerate any pests whatsoever. I begun to check cupboards, behind the fridge, everywhere I could think of and found nothing. Then I realized that it was already 8:15 and I was very late for work
I quickly McGyvered a mouse trap as my manic need to leave things 'right' would not allow me to leave my unit with a mouse on the loose but I have serious doubts that it would work.
Now I have to get some mouse traps on my way back from work and see if I have any luck getting rid of this super speed creature and I know that it will drive me crazy until i find it.
More scary is how did this thing get in? I leave in a top floor unit and I had all windows closed so I have no idea how it got in, specially in my room.
I think I know how to solve your problem. Put some traps on the left and right hand side of this shelf:

:D
We had some mouse droppings in our pantry the other week, but have yet to see the little bugger, tho i can hear him sometimes scratching across the roof! God knows how it gets up/down from there. The cause seemed to be the huge bag of rice my wife loves to keep on the floor of our pantry, removed that and haven't seen any signs since.
Reading on the net, apparantly they can jump up to 12 inches and fit in a space as small as the thickness of a PENCIL. Freaking crafty buggers! Traps are supposed to be a messy last resort though, if you can identify what they're coming in for and remove it, generally they have no reason to come in.
So far this seems like an isolated incident. I usually keep all foods sealed in bags or containers although the cereal box now worries me a bit. Only the weekend before last I performed a full cleaning including mopping the kitchen and bathroom floors so there are minimal scraps laying about if any.
I've had pet mice before, and yes, they can get ANYWHERE... basically anything they can poke their tiny noses through, they can fit their bodies through. When I had mouse cages with bars, they constantly got out. I finally got out of those plastic habitats which eventually put a stop to their escapades (although you gotta make sure they're closed properly!!).
I strongly suggest that you either get rice sold in a resealable bag, and/or get a large airtight container to store your rice in. Remember that there are other things besides mice that can also get into your rice, like lice, weevils etc. Mmm... unwanted protein...
If you've found droppings and you can hear them, then it definitely means you have mice. Get some mouse traps -- I find baiting them with peanut butter on bread works really well. If you and your wife are too squeamish to look at or handle dead mice (note: sometimes the trap doesn't kill them, sometimes they escape or it just breaks their neck but they're still alive) you can get special traps where the bait is on the inside and when the mouse goes in, the trap shuts and in doing so literally breaks the mouse instantly. The trap cannot be reopened, so you just chuck it away (you can't see the mouse as it's shut inside).
For more humane measures, you can also get mouse traps which only trap the mouse but don't kill them - usually hardware stores will have this (I used to use them when I wanted to trap my escaped pet mice!) But erm... make sure you don't look into the trap from below to see if it's worked and trapped a mouse, cos when the mouse is trapped it freaks out and unloads its bladder and bowel contents (and you don't want that falling on your face!). :D
Problem Solved! :D

Seriously - Got home and my improvised trap was untriggered with the bait and small biscuit scraps leading to it untouched. The mouse seems to have either gone or hasn't come out of hiding.
I hope that it isn't dead as I don't want a mouse corpse rotting somewhere inside my kitchen and unable to be found. When it went behind the cupboard, I used insecticide on it just in case it was some roach, I hope that hasn't killed it.
I'd leave those traps baited and lying around for a while longer just in case it's still around.
Yeah I have done that, one where I saw the mouse last and the other on the opposite corner of the Kitchen. My Kitchen is actually pretty big with half of it open space and mice always like to run on the edges of a room so if it's still around, it should at some point come across one of the traps.
6 hours by public transport to get a doctor's referral (which itself took all of 10 minutes after getting to the place and waiting the requisite half hour past the appointment time) and get back home...including 1 & 1/4 hours waiting for a damn bus in a thunderstorm.  The only freaking rain we get all summer and I have to be waiting in a crappy windblown bus stand for a bus that runs hourly and is 15 minutes late to boot.
EDIT- pics ahoy.
