Good to hear(read). It's on my list after Uncharted 4.
I picked up Deus Ex Mankind Divided and have sunk about 5 hours into it and I'm unimpressed. Think I'll take it back to EB and swap it.
Anyone playing Destiny? Still good?

I had high hopes for DX:MD, having loves the original DX and HR.
But I haven't got around to finishing it.
Gameplay-wise it's quite similar, nothing revolutionary over DX:HR, I wonder if that's why I'm not as impressed? Story wise I don't think it's as strong either. I might give it another chance once I'm done with Tomb Raider and Witcher 3.
The last couple of days I have seriously been considering a PS4 with the prices for the original dropping down. I was strongly considering a white PS4 going for $270 in the city. Was very close to buying but decided to reflect on my would be purchase carefully...
After some reflecting and a brief discussion with a friend, I ended up coming to the conclusion that it simply wasn't worth it for me, even at that price. When I bought my PS3 some years ago, it was a few years after release and there were at least a dozen exclusive games I wanted to play making it worth it. After I was done with the exclusives, the PS3 just became a dedicated media box and hardly ever used for games.
For the PS4, I can only think of just maybe 2 or 3 games I want to play on it. Once I am done, the PS4 will just become a media box just like the PS3 before it only more superfluous as the PS3 does the job still. When it comes to the Slim, if I couldn't justify under $300 then I most certainly won't be able to do for nearly $400 they are asking for it. On top of that, it is basically the same system with a new shell and not that much smaller. The Pro has little appeal as I would only be playing the exclusives as mentioned and the VR side of it which is what much of the grunt is practically for, will most likely never be taken advantage of as if I ever go VR, it will be on Steam.
So for someone who would only be interested in exclusives, it seems that the PS4 is still not worth it. How does anyone else feel about it?
I'm happy to have a PS4 for its graphical upgrades. Darksiders 2 came out with a remaster that made it better, graphically and gameplay wise. Darksiders 1 has just come out remastered too, but I'll wait to get it. Too many games I have. Crash Bandicoot remaster comes out this year too, which I don't believe is coming out on other consoles. I haven't got VR yet, but I've heard it's good.
I have Darksiders as well but on PC. The thing with multiplatforms is that for PC gamers, we have been doing the HDR type effects and 4k circus for years now. So for me, the grunt of the PS4 is not very impressive, even for the Pro. The exclusive games is what would pick up my interest to pick up the Hardware.
Curious what ps4 games you would have wanted to play had you got the system Kup?
I have pretty broad gaming tastes and so it has a lot of exclusives im interested in. Recently i've been playing some older titles that've had re-releases, Wild Guns Reloaded (a SNES port) and Battle Garegga (arcade port). Probably not what most people are buying PS4s for but they're great! Not exclusive but the next games I'm most excited for are Sonic Mania and Wonderboy Dragon's Trap remake.
On a bit of a retro kick at the moment as you can see, but Gravity Rush 2 early next year, The Last Guardian just came out... Im keen for these but will probably wait until they get price drops, which is basically what i find myself doing for anything that costs >60 lol. The only retail game i got at launch this year was King of Fighters 14, as I'm a big fan of that series (wanted the artbook that came with first run) and the value proposition is exceptional, 50 characters!
I'm in a very similar spot to Kup, finding it hard to justify a Ps4. I can't find a system seller, there are games I'd play given the opportunity like Bloodbourne, DQ Builders, Yakuza. But no 'hot damn I gotsta play dat'.
I'll re-evaluate after the Switch presentation friday arvo.
Went into EB's for the first time in a looong time today. Managed to pick up the new Doom for $23 which wasn't too bad (screw Bethesda and their "Australia Tax" US$79.99 on Steam - F- Off!)
I've always seen EB as a more expensive option than Steam, but I was really surprised at some if their prices. Might have to go back to buying my games on physical media.
Bad news is that now I have to find a new graphics card because my current one is under the minimum specs :o
