It's weird: movie remakes tend to suck, but video game remakes tend to not suck. This one in particular is awesome.
GoW3 arrived from fishpond.com.au (AU$72 inc. shipping :D). A minor quibble I know but I would have thought a game based around Greek mythology could have better coverart than a closeup on Kratos' eye. :/ Can't wait to give the game a bash tomorrow night though, I've heard great things! This is the PAL OZ version but did local retail copies come with an unusual 16+ rating logo w/hologram on the box front? Never seen it before...
Received today: six Voltron animation cels!

The first cel was used in Vehicle Voltron Episode 10 "Planet Of The Bats".
The second cel was used in Vehicle Voltron Episode 12 "Wolo's Lost World".
The third cel was used in Lion Voltron Episode 22 "The Deadly Flowers".
The fourth cel was used in Lion Voltron Episode 14 "Yurak Gets His Pink Slip".
The fifth and sixth cels weren't used in the show. They were drawn/animated exclusively for a Voltron toy commercial.
Am very stoked to have these. :D

A couple of business card holders that make good stands for the 3 3/4 inch toys I have opened
Universal Soldier soundtrack
Star Wars Episode I -- The Phantom Menace soundtrack
RoboCop soundtrack (Intrada release, which contains the full score)
Supergirl soundtrack (Silva release)
Not really a soundtrack buff. I just like the music heard in the films I have the soundtracks to.
My favourite is the "Superman: The Music" set, which features the complete and uncut soundtracks to all four Chris Reeve Superman films. An absolutely superb set and worth every freakin' cent.Quote:
I love 'em. My two favourites are the Aliens and The Crow soundtracks.
The Supergirl soundtrack, by the late Jerry Goldsmith, is another favourite of mine. It, in my opinion, is his best work, and the wonderful "Flying Ballet" track is the best piece of music he ever composed.
One of my other favourite soundtracks is Masters Of The Universe. La-La Land Records re-released it in complete form about a year-and-a-half back. I was one of the lucky 150 customers to get the soundtrack signed by it's composer Bill Conti. :D
Not very. Intrada (re)released the RoboCop soundtrack only a couple of weeks ago, so it's very easily obtainable. I purchased it from ScreenArchives.com.Quote:
How hard was it to track down RoboCop?
If you're after the RoboCop soundtrack, get Intrada's release as, unlike previous releases by other labels, it has the complete score.
Got avatar on bluray today. Gunna watch it tomorrow, I hope it's good.
I bought from JB Hifi
- Lost Highway soundtrack (pretty much for NIN song :p)
- Slayer's Seasons In The Abyss (because i don't own it and love the title track)
- Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion (because I can)
- Goatwhore's Carving Out The Eyes Of God (because they were awesome live)
- Steel Panther's Feel The Steel <<< Absolutely the best Glam Metal cd in decades haha
- Iron Man on DVD
- Bubble Boy on DVD
and I got Avatar for free for spending over $100 worth of stuff :D:D:D
Received six animation cels from "Denver: The Last Dinosaur" and six animation cels from "Vytor: The Starfire Champion".
Hope to get scans of them up on my cel gallery later tonight.
Finally watcherd it today, yea, it's not too bad a movie. Went for ages though. Mum got totally into it, she cried and everything. And the fight at the end, she was shouting "you bastards!" (when the animals got gunned down), and "get that mongrel" when the dude jumped out of the ship in the mech. :)
And how good is blu-ray? Man, I'm going to start buying stuff on just that.
Received several animation cels from "He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe", "She-Ra: Princess Of Power" and "The Real Ghostbusters".
No acquisitions today, but for anyone that cares, last night I uploaded scans/pics of the cels I received yesterday to my cel gallery.

Have you seen this one on ebay

I picked up Dead Space: Extraction for the Wii from Kmart for $25.
The first dedicated shooting Wii game I have and I quite like it. The playing style - you see the game entirely through the eyes of the character you're playing and it's set more like a movie than a game - is unique amongst the games I have.
It's a prequel but I think the first is available only on gaming systems I don't have... unless there's a Playstation One version out there :p
And I love the ending to Chapter 9. Spoiler: you have to cut your character's arm off
Voltron -- Lion Force Part 1 DVD
Voltron -- Lion Force Part 2 DVD
Armored Fleet DaiRugger XV -- Collection 2 DVD
Voltron -- Fleet Of Doom DVD (World Events Productions-released version)
Voltron: A Legend Forged #1 (Cover B)
Voltron: A Legend Forged #2 (Cover A)
Voltron: A Legend Forged #3 (Cover B)
The "Fleet Of Doom" DVD and the comics were freebies. Not a bad haul overall, even if I already have the "Fleet Of Doom" DVD and the first two "Voltron: A Legend Forged" covers.

+1 on the iPad. Which one Tiby? I went 32GB + 3G.
Here's my one word review:
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
I got tick-a-box happy and splurged for the 64GB + 3G
I love it!
My 5 year old niece saw it and within 5 seconds she had it switched on, unlocked and was watching some videos I had on there. Do that with a netbook!
Also, Bento for iPad presents my TF collection just beautifully!
One He-Man animation cel and two She-Ra cels, courtesy of Sky Shadow.
Sweet! I used to use Bento, than switched to FileMaker for a bit more power, and then I built iTFDB so others could use it as well as us all benefiting from crowdsourcing.
