That's not cool.
Hope you land on your feet.

I was a Project Engineer at Metro Trains.
I worked on the control systems for the signals and overhead amongst things.
Worked on network and system designs with vendors or re-engineered systems after they were in to fix redundancy or configuration issues.
Also worked with our maintenance guys on helping them move into the digital age. Lots of doco and drawings to help simplify things for them and developing and delivering training.
My concern is I haven't had a certification in about 8 years. I am not an expert on anything but I am quite good on a lot of things. I don't know how I can get that across on paper. I know in 5 minutes I can prove my worth but how to get that opportunity I am not sure.
Thankfully they have put me in touch with a mob who will help me with my resume and interview techniques and alike.
Very specific job market and skills, hopefully you find something similar.
Doh! I ran a charity fundraising event at the school last term and one of the local papers reporters was here. I paid them no mind as was too busy organising/running the day.
Anyway apparently there was a big picture of me in the paper and a small article about the event and I never saw it! And I can't bring myself to call the paper for a copy as it feels just too narcesistic. :o
I work in papers and when I was a reporter I got calls like that all the time. Your paper should be used to requests like yours and think nothing of it.
